Great view of Olympic Mountains and Victoria, British Columbia. Located in town just a few blocks North of the Olympic National Park Headquarters. It has a large fenced back yard with fruit trees as well as a covered patio. Port Angeles is a great Pacific Northwest town with easy access to Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rain Forest and the ferry to Victoria. This wonderful home is big enough to bring the whole family, with all the comforts of your home away from home.

We are a married couple who have family in Port Angeles. We live in Alaska, but visit Port Angeles several times per year.

Why Virginia Southmayd chose Olympic Peninsula

We bought this house in 2005 when we were living in Port Angeles. Circumstances took us to Alaska but we hope to live in this house when we retire. The house was built in 1947 by a famous Port Angeles builder and has had many upgrades since.

What makes this house unique

This home is located in town, so it has easy access to all conveniences of Port Angeles. It is less than a mile to multiple coffee shops, the library, the grocery store and the Olympic National Park. You can sit on the couch in the living room and look south at the Olympic Mountains or look north at Victoria and ships sailing through the Straits of Juan de Fuca.

I'm proud to say I'm the new manager. How excited I am to be working with the owner with our vision for this house. The photos definitely do not capture the beauty of everything this home has to offer. The view of the water from the living room, dining room and the kitchen made me want to see more immediately. We're taking one room at a time and will be posting new photos as we go. This is a rare find in that ALL THE FLOORS ARE HEATED. You'll be glad you stayed at our home called "North to Alaska."

Better than in the pictures!

The place looks better than it does in the pictures, the big windows bring in a lot of light. Very well equipped, but the kitchen and furniture in the home is a bit outdated. Bathrooms are upgraded and very modern. Grill in the backyard was very nice, and location is amazing! We could get to the Olympic National Park as well as the Port Angeles farmer's market so quickly! Overall 4/5, location 5/5!!

So much space - great for families!

This home was the perfect home base for our group to stay while exploring Olympic National Park. There was plenty of room for all of us (4 adults and 4 children), and the setup of the house ensured that we never felt crowded. A bit outdated, but everything was clean and in working order. Would definitely rent this place again!

Great stay!

We stayed for four nights with six adults and two children (ages two and ten). The house easily fit all of us. The living room area has plenty of seating, as does the kitchen. The wifi was fast and the TV had Netflix. The grill out back worked great and we were happy to have a washer and dryer in the basement. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed. The house has a lot of light which gives it a nice airy feel, plus it has a great view of the mountains. The manager was a joy to work with - very responsive. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely rent this property!

Beautiful, comfortable, great space for a large family!

We stayed at this property for one night while in town for a kids basketball tournament - two adults and five boys ages 5-10 fit, with room to spare! We enjoyed the space in the living room- plenty of couch seats for all. Two lovely tables (one off the kitchen and one in the dining room) hosted our team dinner on Saturday night - it worked great!

The property owner is responsive and helpful, easy to access, wifi and netflix, a great yard with BBQ out back. We will definitely book again for our next tournament weekend!
