Quiet of the country but close to town

  • 5 of 5

I took my parents and son's family to Sonoma for the July 4th weekend. We were all so pleased with this home for a lot of reasons.

- The open floor plan works wonderfully for families. While we didn't spend a lot of time In front of the TV, there was good service and a decent amount of comfortable seating.

- As mentioned by almost everyone, the lavender garden was incredibly beautiful and fragrant.

- my two year old grandson was with us and having the gate close off the driveway was a definite plus. It allowed him to play without worry of him getting in the street.

- The beds were comfortable and the kitchen supplies were plentiful.

- There is a winery within walking distance at the end of the street (Buena Vista) -- need I say more!

- The location was awesome! Day trips were a breeze as you can go to the Ocean, visit the Redwoods and hit Napa all within an hours drive.

- My experience with the owner was great. she was vey responsive and a delight to talk with.

- If you like wildlife, this is a great place to get a chance to experience it. I was lucky enough to get to watch a cute little fox while having my morning coffee on the deck.

I was so happy to share one of my favorite places on earth with my family and so glad to have found this home to do it. You will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to stay here.

Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a find! 3 girlfriends and I rented this cottage for a relaxing wine country weekend. The property is beautiful! The furnishings are "shabby chic" and the overall vibe is calm. The outside of the property is the best feature. The yard has mature landscape, lots of lavender which was about to bloom, roses, birds, etc. We had breakfast and coffee outside every morning. The location is 2 miles from the town square on the east side which is very quiet. We had bike rentals from Goodtime Touring Company and Doug was a wealth of information. He delivered the bikes right to our door and picked them up the next morning. We biked to the wineries around us and had a fabulous lunch at Sonoma's Best. Pat, the property manager, was very easy to work with and my ladies and I look forward to returning next year!

Great location for a restful stay in Sonoma

  • 4 of 5

Loved the ability to stay in town, and still be able to sit on the deck in almost silence and breathe in lavender scented air. The house is simply decorated, comfortable, and has everything you need to spend any amount of time there.
