Nice location, very clean
Perfect Getaway Spot
This cottage was the perfect getaway for my spouse and I. It is centrally located and within biking or walking distance to Holland State Park and beautiful Lake Michigan. Gorgeous neighborhood. We loved our stay here!
Delightful long weekend
Besides the obvious in cleanliness, the neighborhood was not only quiet, but also convenient. While immediate access to the lake was not great, it was a good home base for access to Holland State Park, Mt. Pisgah, church (Our Lady of the Lake) and Windmill island. It was easy to find way into town as well. If you are a walker, it is a walker's and biker's heaven even to Lake Michigan.
The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen more than adequate (we took all meals in cottageexcept two).
We would consider staying at this property again. Thank you
Girl's Getaway in Holland MI
The cottage is in a great neighborhood and the surrounding property is beautiful. The cottage had a mildewy smell. There was no visible moisture or mold/mildew but the smell was quite persistent. Also, the bed and pullout sofa mattress were very uncomfortable. If the owners update the mattresses in the bedroom and the sofa and deal with the smell it will be an awesome getaway location.
Despite these issues, we still had a great weekend in Holland.
Prefect locaton in every way!
We were in Michigan for almost a month. The location could not have been any better. We loved the community, Captain Sundae Ice Cream, Owatta Beach Inn for lunch and dinner was awesome and the General Store down the road. Beechwood Grill had fabulous food and excellent service and can't forget DeDoer Restaurant/Bakery. All of these pleases we will certainly miss. Our home was in such a excellent location we could be downtown Holland in minutes, 25 minutes to Grand Haven, 20 minutes to Saugatuck, South Haven with in 25 minutes. Went to Traverse City in one day as well. House was very nice and Bob was very easy to work with. Bed mattress was to hard but we are an older couple. Would definitely stay there again should we ever visit Holland Michigan again.
The cottage is a perfect getaway. Close to the beach
We had a great weekend staying at the cottage. It’s close to the beach. There are a lot of things to go do that are close
Holland isn't just a summer destination . The Summer Place cottage is available year- round! Of course there’s no better place to be in the spring than Holland's Tulip Time Festival. Known for our famous Tulip Time Festival, Windmill Island and Dutch Village just to name a few of our local attractions. Fall is a great time to take a hike and enjoy the fall colors. The cottage is surrounded by miles and miles of bike trails. In the winter curl up next to your own cozy fireplace, cross country ski, view the amazing Lake Michigan’s Icebergs. The downtown is a great place to shop even during the snowiest winter days with help of our HEATED downtown 'Snowmelt' sidewalks and outdoor fireplace. Holland’s downtown is vibrant year round and is a huge draw for locals and visitors alike year round.
