About Matt Heidt

I had visited Cabo a few times over the years, but was invited to assist a group of disabled veterans on a fishing trip. Those guys had a life changing experience here, and I met so many amazing people that I knew I had to get more involved. Buying this property so that disabled vets and guests from around the world could enjoy this beautiful place seemed like the right answer.

My high school age daughter is interested in Hospitality Management as a career and wants to go to Cornell or Michigan State. She helps me to book, market, and manage the property as a way to learn the business and also for a daddy-daughter project.

Matt Heidt purchased this condo in 2009

Why Matt Heidt chose Pedregal

There is something about Mexico especially for those of us coming from the US and Europe. Mexico challenges you, but it also quickly embraces you. Some people are worried about traveling to Mexico, but really that is because things are so easy in the US. The people of Mexico are an inspiration and a reminder to us how good we have it. I like to be reminded of that, and it's no accident that Baja and Cabo in particular offer very unique gifts to those willing to come down here to enjoy them.

The people here in Cabo are very welcoming and the community itself is very tight knit especially after Hurricane Odile in 2014. The town has been beautifully rebuilt since then and everyone from US expats to the local citizens all pitched in together to make that happen. You can sense the pride the locals have in their town, and they are always willing to share that with our guests.

When you walk through the doors you'll see why this is such a special place. It pains me to leave every time! Sitting on the balcony with an early morning cup of coffee gazing into the sunrise over the Sea of Cortes is something not to be missed. Just down the hill on a brief walk are tiny cafes, world class restaurants, and Vegas level nightlife. It's all right there! You will see eagles flying over the property in the daytime, and if you take a fishing charter, the marine life is incredible to behold. Whales, Whale Sharks, Marlin, Dorado, Tuna and the water is the deepest blue I've seen anywhere.

Rarely will you find a place with such natural beauty and humility. Cabo is a REAL place. The people are real, there is no pretense here. You will sense this right away. Someday I hope to be able to live here full time, but in the meantime, it's yours! Take advantage and see what I've seen.

What makes this condo unique

The views of the city lights at night and hiking up to the top of the hills in Pedregal to watch the sunset are hard to compete with. Also, it is a quick 5-10 minute stroll to the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas!

The picture online was amazing But when you see it in person it is breathtaking inside and out. This house sit on top of a hill so your views are amazing. The house has two floors and it was 5 of us ladies in the house. We had more then enough room. The balconies you can sit out and relax just looking at the view as far as the eye can see. If I go back to Cabo I will definitely book this house again! The owners are very friendly and assist with your every need .

Great place for awesome Cabo visit

  • 5 of 5

We stayed Jan 3-7 2017. It was an excellant location close to downtown, the beach, marina, restraunts and activities. The place was very clean and fully furnished. Andrew was always available for any questions or support. The option of having a grocery list delivered before arrival was nice as was a cook to come in and make a meal with the needed food and clean up. It's in a very secure gated area. There is a super view of the city from either of the two floor deck. We had eight people, two of the kids slept on master bedroom couches. Three bedrooms, two gave access to the decks, three baths and a full kitchen. A VOIP phone lets you call the States or US Cell numbers for free. I would recommend this place to anyone. We were very happy with our stay.

Wonderful family vacation for Cabo 1st Timers!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (children 11 and 9) recently spent the Holidays in Cabo. This was our first trip to Mexico, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We were so very happy with the property and the owner, Andrew Clark. The property is pearched in the center of a small hill overlooking the town of Cabo San Lucas, the Marina, and Medano beach. The view from the patios was wonderful. The condo is less than a mile from many local shops and restaurants. We found ourselves walking down the hill and into the town on a daily basis to shop, drink coffee or just sight see. If you are a runner, you will enjoy the challenge of running through the Pedregal complex. From the Portofino condominium, you can run up the hill and down to the Pacific-ocean facing side and Pedgregal beach. We also found running through the Marina a fun experience with wide-sidewalks, great views, and lots of shops to look at. The condo itself was clean and well-maintained, and provided plenty of space for a family of four. There is a community pool just a floor down from Andrew's place. For those who choose to rent a car, onsite parking is available and is very close to the unit. The icing on the cake was the support and assistance provided by Andrew throughout our stay. Andrew was very accommodating and gracious with his time, and was always available for our questions. Seeing as we had never been to Cabo, he arranged for groceries to be purchased for us so we could arrive to a full refrigerator and cupboards, and recommended local chefs to cook for us on our first night after a long day of travel. The renters guide he provided prior to our trip was also VERY helpful. It was a very thorough compilation of everything a renter needed to know about the unit, logistics, and included recommendations for food and entertainment based on what type of experience you were looking for. He really made the experience quite predictable and issue-free.

Overall wonderful experience for this family!

College Student's Trip With some friends

  • 5 of 5

I have never been one to write reviews however after my experience in Cabo this past week, I was propelled to write this. FOR ANYONE GOING TO CABO, YOU NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANDREW!! My criteria for traveling to Mexico included safety, costs and ease of planning and all these were met and even surpassed. My friends and I contacted the Clark's a couple of months before our trip and without their help I can't even imagine the problems we would have had. Some of my friends were down in Cabo as well and the stories that I've heard about their trip are horrifying, from being swindled to losing all their money and passports, but my group of friends had a great time and came back to the states safe and sound.

Andrew and I were contacting each other every day the week prior to us arriving. He gave us suggestions of what to do and had his property manager wait for us at the condo as soon as we arrived. When we arrived in Cabo, he came over to visit us and made sure everything was going well and kept in contact every single day. The recommendations that he gave us were amazing and honestly everything that he said aided us in making our trip the best vacation I've ever had. Having grown up traveling a lot, I know the hassles that can come with it, but this past trip has made me want to go back to Mexico over and over again.

Alaskan Family's First time to Cabo

  • 5 of 5

Andrew was so very helpful! We did a lot of his recommendations from a fishing charter, to going to some of his highly recommended restaurants, Arts and Sushi and the Argentina Steak House Chumuyo, excellent food! Taking a boat to Lovers and Divorce Beach. Hitting Pedregal Beach our last night which was gorgeous, we were wishing we would of gone earlier. The condo was close enough to downtown to walk to and from which we did everyday. We had a family of seven of us and we had plenty of room. Thank you Andrew for all of your help with everything. You really helped make our first time to Cabo a blast!
