Great multi-generational escape
Scott and Harry have provided a perfect spot for families to gather away from hustle and bustle of the big city! We enjoyed using the home as a base for exploration of the Eastern Shore and Annapolis; and, also as a relaxing end of day escape after day trips to Washington DC. Our travel group included my wife and I, my inlaws, and our two children. The trips to DC were convenient with a straight 40 minute drive on highway 50 to the New Carrollton Metro station, where you can catch the Orange Line directly to the National Mall (Smithosian station). We would also HIGHLY recommend the Harriet Tubman Museum and St Michael's on the Eastern Shore. The home had great kitchen amenities for our family breakfasts and occasional evening meals. Chester and Stevensville have plenty of dining choices, which we appreciated when returning from our DC excursions. We'd definitely recommend this fine home for future travel.
A slice of Paradise on earth!
What can I say? Having spent so many memorable, relaxing and rejuvenating hours over the years at Benton Pleasure, I could not begin to put into words how spectacular this “home away from home” is for Felice and myself. I believe that there is no greater fireplace on earth which could compare with the one at Benton Pleasure; it makes oneself look forward to frosty, cold and snowy winters! Harry Sanders and family are truly some of the greatest folks I have ever met, and I look forward to many more years of sheer enjoyment at their lovely Kent Island getaway.
This property is eat off the kitchen floor clean while retaining the warmth of a home.
Our family is scattered throughout the east coast. This home was a wonderful Christmas gathering place for us. I highly recommend this property for a home away from home vacation
1st family vacation in years
This was our 1st vacation with our 3 grown up children, our daughter - in - law, & our 18 month old grandson & the house was just perfect for the 7 of us. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. The sunsets are amazing! The bay is right out the back door & we fished right off the dock. The house has everything you can imagine you would need & then some. I think almost everyone took a nap in the bay window overlooking the water! It is located only minutes from the town of Stevensville with major grocery stores, restaurants, & strip malls. Harry & Scott Sanders were very friendly & accomodating. I believe we will be returning again & again. My family & I highly recommend this cozy cottage getaway!! The Diller Family
Spectacular views from comfortable and spacious home
This was a great site for a family reunion--three bedrooms plus a sofabed in the study, large kitchen and huge dining/living room where we could dine, watch DVDs and TV, and lounge. The house is beautifully decorated, and we appreciated the tablecloths and placemats. The glassed-in screen porch was lovely in the morning before it got hot. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the hosts welcoming and generous. Wifi worked extremely well! We also could play croquet on the lawn (croquet set included) and launch our inflatable kayak from the dock. The house is set on three acres so we enjoyed considerable privacy. The area has limited swimming but we enjoyed the many parks and wildlife conservation sites. Several nearby restaurants provide good seafood with wonderful water views. We were there with our 98-year-old mother and many restaurants are accessible to wheelchairs/walkers. The house steps (4 of them to the front door) were a problem for her. Be prepared for fabulous sunsets!
