In the trendiest, artsy section of Washington DC, Dupont Circle - example of Pierre L'Enfant's vision for the city, great avenues radiating off small parks like spokes on a wheel, we offer the best value in furnished apartments, truly a home away from home: just bring your clothes.
We offer luxury furnished apartment with availability throughout the year.
This one bedroom apartment with one bathroom on the second floor of historic Art Deco building is steps from world class restaurants, avant-garde theaters, trendy cafes and the best shopping this city has to offer. The apartment is decorated with passion and attention to detail: classic modern furniture, color coordinated organic sheets, rugs, cotton linens, kitchen and bath ware.
The building features a small outdoor seating patio with gas grill, free washer and dryer (shared in the basement) and close proximity to Metro only block and a half away.
Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.
Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Please note that during the season the streets get cleaned -please read signs clearly and visibly posted on each street when you must move your car for street cleaning.

hi, originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Washington DC has become my second home twelve years ago when I came to study at Georgetown University. I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do. Eva
Eva purchased this condo in 2009
As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. This is the reason I bought my rental property.
From our apartment in the heart of Dupont Circle the access to all the tourist attractions, world famous restaurants, great bars and the biggest selection of privately owned galleries is just steps away. The metro stop is only a block and a half away, next to Starbucks. The 14 Street buses run directly downtown from our bus station at the end of the block; every two minutes during rush hour and every six minutes other times. The White house, The Mall and The Smithsonian Museums are less than a mile away; about fifteen minute walk or few metro stops.
First, the apartment was PERFECT. It had all the amenities and some that we could have ever needed. It was close to the metro off of U Street. It had lots of eateries nearby. Trader Joes was around the corner which was great if you need something. I really would consider renting it again if we go back to DC. Eva was responsive when we had questions. Awesome place!!!!
Great location - within close walking distance of food and groceries as well as a very safe neighborhood even at night! Within walking distance of all museums and memorials if you are a walker. We walked everywhere from here. Second day we rented bikes and there are two low ruins within several blocks.
Apartment was great and well stocked!
Comfy and clean - we will stay here again!
Perfect for a couple - I would not recommend for families.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Dupont Circle area. The apartment is small, as described, but well appointed with all of the amenities and lots of storage. The location is outstanding and one of the big selling points in my opinion. We had no issues with transportation from the airport to the apartment, the check-in instructions were easy to follow and the apartment was nice and clean when we arrived. There are so many restaurants and conveniences within 1-2 blocks and you really get a feel for the city and swept up in the energy.
People have mentioned in other reviews that if you have people above you, it can be loud. We did notice that, but this is a building that was built awhile ago (50+ years ago, I'd guess) and was probably a single residence at one time, so we didn't expect the insulation to be the same as what we have in our own suburban home. It could be a little loud from the upstairs, but that's part of staying in an apartment like this and didn't bother us.
I would definitely recommend staying at this property and really getting to know a cool area of DC while in the city.
Great location away from the mall if you are using the metro = everything is only a few minutes away. Good restaurants close by with Trader Joes right around the corner. The apartment is a perfect size for two but worked great for our family of four with two tweens The kids even commented on how much more they enjoyed it compared to a hotel.
We really enjoyed our two weeks at this property. The location is amazing! There is so much to do and we were fine without a car. The metro and buses got us everywhere we needed to go. The apartment is small, but we were expecting that. What we weren't expecting was how well thought out the storage would be. There was plenty of room for a family of four to hang towels, keep their toiletries in the bathroom, and hang clothes (three closets!)
Things that could be improved are the following:
* The internet was spotty. We told Eva and she reset the server, but it clearly wasn't handling the traffic. The service would come and go and was totally unreliable. This was frustrating, but not a dealbreaker for us. Eva did respond super quickly!
* The furniture was not what was pictured. Again, not a dealbreaker, but the kids were disappointed because we'd expected the cute modern beige couch, and instead it was an old grey one that seemed a bit beaten up. It was apparently comfortable to sleep on, though!
* The fridge didn't close well. All it took was a good firm push, but we didn't discover this until after it was left open for a whole night. No biggie here, but it looks closed and it isn't. A note to that effect would help future renters. It was super clean and nice though!
* We were instructed to recycle, but there was no information about what could / couldn't be recycled. Those policies differ from town to town, so a list of recycling rules would have been really helpful.
All in all, it was a WONDERFUL place to stay. I only include the issues so that the quality of the stay for others could be improved even further. We had everything we needed, the restaurants and groceries nearby were perfect, and we loved calling this place home.
Last thing? GO TO TED'S BULLETIN. Oh good golly, the baked goods!
Searched long and hard for a place in DC for a place to stay for a family vacation. With a 12 and 11 year old it wasn't easy but this place was perfect. The communication from the owners was great leading up to the day of the rental. They were very quick at getting back to us as we had multiple questions. Upon arrival the place was spotless and well maintained and the location was perfect for us.
We purchased a parking permit for our vehicle and it was great. Even though you have to park by zone there were plenty of spaces.
I would highly recommend the place and would definitely go back.
