March break 2014

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of this property really do not do it justice. This is a great property with a huge kitchen that is well stocked and nicely designed. We had two families for the March break, skiing at Le Massif. It was great to come back to this "cottage" and hang out in the kitchen, have a hot tub on the deck and then make dinner together listening to music on their excellent sound system (just plug in the device of your choice). The wood stove warmed it up and the pool table room was a great escape for the teenagers in the group. Thanks to the owners who were very easy and accessible. My only regret is that the snow was too deep to use the outdoor pizza oven which would have been awesome!

Charlevoix Motorcycle Adventure

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property, very well equipped house in Petite Riviere St Francois. Four couples spent Sept 3-8, 2015 using the property as a base to explore Charlevoix and Saguenay regions on motorcycles. There are horseshoe pits, washer toss, pool table, outdoor fireplace, and a fabulous hot tub for unwinding at the end of the day. For the cooking enthusiast, the kitchen is well equipped with a 6 burner Wolf gas stove with 2 ovens and all the utensils one could ask for.

The owner, Lucie, was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

The Perfect Summer Escape

  • 5 of 5

We have been skiing at le Massif for many years and have always loved Charlevoix, but we have never spent any time there in the summer. So this year our family spent a very enjoyable and relaxing 5 days in this beautiful chalet in Petite Rivière St François. We immediately felt at home in the warm and tasteful decor. The kitchen is even more gorgeous than the photos show, and very well designed. We cooked and baked and enjoyed hanging around the huge island. The chalet is laid out on 3 floors, allowing us to have our own space, while the large common areas easily fit us all when we were together. The beds and bed linen were very comfortable and the air was fresh and cool at night with the bedroom windows open, making for a great night sleep. We hiked at la parc national des Haute-Gorges-de-la rivière-Malbaie, we visited the art gallery and the art symposium in Baie St-Paul, and we drove around the beautiful countryside enjoying the views. As much as we loved these activities, we were always ready to come back to our little paradise for a soak in the hot tub and a game of pool or a bon fire. The only problem that I found with this property was that it was very hard to leave! We could have easily stayed for the rest of the summer. Lucie was fantastic to deal with. She responded very quickly to my initial email and was very prompt with all of our communications. Most importantly, she made us feel welcome. Thank you, Lucie. We will surely be back.

Chalet parfait

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this chalet.

Un merveilleux séjour à votre chalet!

We spent six nights at this luxurious chalet - a true oasis of comfort and relaxation. We were two families of four - perfect for the children and adults to play outside, relaxation, cooking and spending quality time inside or out with the family. Perfect way to finish a day of skiing at Le Massif. Great cross country skiing close to the chalet and snowshoeing on the premises. Amazing!

The chalet is comfortable (great linens, hot tub, well stocked kitchen, wood supply etc. - very well organized and spotless). The owners were available to answer questions and were accommodating as well.

I could go on and on....we will be return guests. The kids gave it 10 thumbs up!

Merci à vous.

Simply delightful

  • 5 of 5

We spent March Break at this lovely property in 2012. This large, well-equipped and spotless chalet managed to be luxurious and cozy at the same time. It was a perfect get-away for us and our four children ages 4 to 11. The kids could play outside in the snow on the grounds, and we all had a delightful time snowshoeing on the trail leading from the house through the woods. Only a few minutes drive from Le Massif (the ski mountain with the highest vertical drop in Eastern Canada, which has the most spectacular view of the St-Lawrence River all the way down), the chalet allowed us to relax in style after the day's skiing ... playing pool; sipping a glass of wine while preparing dinner in the gourmet kitchen; star-gazing in the hot tub before turning in at night. Other things we appreciated were: the bed linens and comforters all seemed brand-new; the basement bedrooms where the kids slept seemed more like main floor rooms; the quality of the chalet construction; the detailed instructions explaining how everything works; the quantity of pots and pans and utensils and how everything was so well labelled it made it easy to clean up after a meal; the quantity of snow we had (truly knee-deep); the bird song greeting us in the morning, and the great views of the bird feeders; reading on the bed in the mezzanine with the sun pouring through the windows. The skiing was great too.
