Living and dining room are cooled with large panama fans and plantain shutters and to ensure your relaxation continues a sectional for lounging, a gas fireplace for cool nights. We are the Frenette's Leona, Charlie and daughter Raisa. We live in Victoria BC, city of gardens and love to travel and spend time with friends a family. Ample golf for dad and endless shopping for mother and daughter and an abundance of things to do locally make it a great place for family escapes.

We choose the Cathedral Canyon County Club because it has everything you would want in a vacation home on a golf course. We felt at home right away. It is resort living filled with things to do or just perfect for relaxing in a tranquile and serene environment.
There are so many places close by to discover like Disneyland; Hollywood; the gallerys and shopping of Los Angeles; the beaches of San Diego; or, boating on Lake Havasu. In the evening, just return to the tranquility of a clean and comfortable bed.
Did I forget to mention the great local attractions and activities all close by.
You will find everything you need to make your stay memorable at our desert oasis. Cooking is our passion so you will find everything you need to make your favorites -- just bring the food. This property is perfect for indoor/outdoor living with a courtyard and patio for relaxing or entertaining friends and family. There are numerous pools and spas just steps away to help shed the tensions of too much work and play. Unlimited television channels, wifi and free US Canada long distance makes for a convienient place to stay in touch with the outside world while relaxing in the tranquility of your home away from home.
The unit was very nicely appointed, plenty spacious for four adults. A King bed in each room is a real plus. We loved sitting on the back porch looking out on the 14th fairway of Cathedral Canyon Golf Course and watching the players. This unit is in one of the quietest locations of the entire development. Most other areas have road noise. This unit is very quiet. Many small pools are nearby, dotted throughout the development- very conveniently located. This unit had bicycles, pool floats and even extra golf clubs. The kitchen is completely furnished, everything you could ask for. Great BBQ with natural gas connection, so you never have to worry about the tank being empty. Owner had to replace air conditioner while we were there and was very proactive, making every effort to get it done as quickly as possible. This is a wonderful unit. Also, Cathedral City is a very central location with stores close by, less than 10 minutes into Palm Springs, many affordable golf courses nearby, as well as biking and hiking trails.
We were very pleased with our one month stay at this condo. The unit is modern, clean, spacious with comfortable furniture. The description offered is accurate and exceeded our expectations. We appreciate that all the amenities were provided such as paper products, soaps, garbage bags etc, so we did not have to stock up on all these items on arrival. The golf course is fun at a reasonable price. There are also many hiking trails within a fifteen minute drive. Being able to use the bikes was also a bonus. Nice patio, comfortable king beds, well equipped kitchen. We would be pleased to stay again and recommend this condo to others looking for a relaxing vacation.
We enjoyed staying in the Cathedral City area. Very central for shopping, golf, hiking. A grocery store within walking distance.
This unit is very well equipped and shiny clean. Owners told us to make ourselves at home and that is exactly what we felt. Very comfortable. Updated décor. Spacious and bright. The patio off the living space is covered with a ceiling fan, comfy outdoor furniture. Beautiful big tree out front that gives perfect shade in the afternoon while watching the occasional golfers go by or the hummingbirds at the feeder.
Grounds and pools were well maintained, clean and quiet. It was very nice to have the garage to drive right into and to store the golf clubs.

This was our second stay at one of the Cathedral Country Club condos. The unit we stayed in last year was on the western side of the club but unfortunately (we thought) was not available this year. It’s location seemed perfect to us and we were wondering if this condo would be as well situated. We soon adjusted to the new location and with bikes they kindly let us use, were able to easily access the same network of walking and biking trails we enjoyed so much last year and as well were able to add some new ones on the east side. However, the big difference was in the comparative condition of the units. Last year’s unit, although large and well equipped, was a little tired and not particularly well kept. We were led to believe by neighbouring renters that this was not unusual for rental condos in the area. Wow – this year was certainly an eye opener. Charlie & Leona’s unit is extremely well maintained, spotlessly clean and very nicely equipped. The east facing orientation of the unit is also ideal. We found we could enjoy the morning sun but that the condo did not heat up as the heat of the day increased (afternoon sun lovers can use the smaller, west-facing patio or nearby pools). We had record high temperatures, yet only had to use the A/C a few times on the hottest days to drop the temperature to a comfortable sleeping level. We appreciated being able to shop at open air markets and the nearby Mexican supermarket (freshly made tortillas, chorizo, salsa and flan, etc) and had all the utensils we needed to make wonderful Mexican style meals. We also enjoyed swimming in the pools and some invigorating hikes into the high desert. We can’t wait to return next year.
This was our first trip to Palm Springs and our first stay in Leona and Charlie's condo. It met all our expectations and more. The pictures are very good but I think once we got there and had a chance to look around it was even better. The unit was clean and comfortable and felt like home right from the first day. Leona was not kidding when she said it would have everything we would need. The wifi and long distance calling were nice features during our stay especially since we were reporting almost daily to family back home.
The grounds of the complex were kept in immaculate condition and people in the community were very friendly. The absolute best was waking up to singing birds and having coffee and the morning paper out on the patio plus greeting all the people out on their morning walks.
Some of our favorite things were the COD (College of the Desert) market, Joshua Tree National Park, El Paseo for shopping and of course the endless choices for golfing. We found our location to be very central to everything and getting around was so easy. There were many good places to eat definitely something for every taste.
We would have no problem recommending this property to any of our friends or family. Leona and Charlie have created a wonderful vacation home here and they are fantastic to deal with! We are already planning for next year.
Beautiful cloudless blue skies, bright spring flowers, warm sunshine.... we could relax and enjoy a bit of California 'winter' in this beautiful condo. We found it easily as directed, just south of Dinah Shore Drive. The listing photos were inviting, but in person it was even better.... very clean and bright, comfortable beds, privacy (we were 2 couples), spacious living area, well-stocked with everything we needed. I really liked having wi-fi, and plug-ins on both patios so I could use my computer in the fresh air and sun. Five bicycles to ride, pool and hot tub a few steps away, grapefruit and lemons for the picking, a short drive to shopping and attractions. It was fun cooking in the well-appointed kitchen... we found restaurants we liked too: Fisherman's Market & Grill downtown Palm Springs, La Bella Roma (Italian) on Landau & Ramon, Sherman's Deli on Tahquitz Canyon. One problem that came up ~ garage door opener ~ we called the owner, and a repairman was there the same morning to fix it. We found everything to be just as Leona told us it would be, and her cleaning lady, Esther, was very friendly and helpful. We thank you for sharing your home with us!
