Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Wake up, grab your morning cup of coffee and watch the beauty of the peaceful lake on one of the two decks. Stroll out on the boat dock where you can swing on one of 2 large covered swings or just layout and relax. There are 2 kayaks and a peddle boat available for you to explore the lake.
Upon entering the 1500 sq ft cabin, you walk into the upstairs den area with a TV, leather couch, recliner, and a card table in the corner. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath. Both the Den and Master Bedroom have french doors, which open onto the large deck overlooking the lake.
At the top of the stairs is the 2nd full bath. Downstairs you will find beautiful cedar wood walls and tile floors. The large eat in kitchen has a wood fire place and the table seats 8. 2 people can sit at the island. The kitchen has a smooth surface stove and the large table is situated in front of the wall of windows looking onto the peaceful lake. The two other bedrooms are also downstairs. One room has 2 twin beds also with a lake view and the other bedroom has a queen bed. The full size washer and dryer are in a closet in the bedroom with the queen bed.
******Please note******** The house is about 10 feet from the water so there is a hill to walk down to get to the property. It is semi-steep; definitely not handi-cap accessible. You can park at the bottom but, only if your vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel drive. The water in front of the dock is about 7 feet deep. ********
This quiet cove is a perfect retreat for your family. The cabin is located only 40 minutes from Macon, 20 minutes from Gray and 15 minutes from Milledgeville.

About Elizabeth Peed
Roscoe Douglas I bought this place 20 years ago so my family and I could have a getaway close to my home in Macon. Now my kids are grown and I would like other families to have the same opportunity to relax and enjoy the lake like we did. *****DON'T BE FOOLED by theives trying to take your money....I will never ask you to wire money nor do I accept money wired to my bank account. My cell phone is listed on this add please call if you are unsure about anything.******
Elizabeth Peed purchased this Cabin in 1990
Why Elizabeth Peed chose Baldwin County
I choose this location because it is close to Macon, located right on the water. We ski right in front of the cabin, and have a great creak to kayak or canoe in just a 5 minute paddle to the left.
What makes this Cabin unique
This is a very relaxing place to spend a week or a weekend.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Nice house, convenient to the water from the lower level of the house.
If you have any health issues i.e. heart, knees, etc this house is not for you. Can't park at the house because of steep hill to get to the house. Steep steps inside from upstairs to downstairs. No bathroom downstairs. Kitchen downstairs, den upstairs. Other than those two factors the house was nice.
Spring Break Joy
We stayed at the Cedar Creek/Lake Sinclair property from March 24 to March 31 for Spring Break with our 3 grandchildren ages 12, 13, & 15. All 5 of us enjoyed the entire week even on those days that the weather was uncooperative. The cottage is only a few feet from the water. The kitchen /dining area has wall to wall windows on the lake side that make the area bright & sunny. The lake view is the highlight of this area. There is a wood burning fire place here and comfortable seating in addition to the table that could easily allow 10 to dine. There are exits directly to the back yard/lake/dock from the kitchen & the twin bed bedroom on this level. The two downstairs bedrooms can each be entered from the hall. However there is a connecting door between the two bedrooms. The kids enjoyed having the door open to form a large shared room for the day. At night they closed the door & this who wanted to sleep could & the night owls did not disturb them. NdThe upstairs can be entered from the front door where it is on ground level or from the backyard by entering the house and climbing the stairs. There is no bathroom on the bottom floor, but there is a full bath right at the top of the stairs. The children had no problems with the stairs at night, but young children may. Also on the upper level there is a large living room/den with a tv, a game table for cards or board games, a bedroom with a king bed & attached full bath. Both rooms open to a large deck. When it was chilly and rainy we all enjoyed reading & playing board games with the view of the creek. The dock, swings, kayaks, canoe and peddle boat were fun for all on the warm sunny days. The lake goes on & on. Coves, wild life, and beautiful vistas were abundant. The kids swam. The water at the end of the dock was fine for shallow dives. We drove in to Milledgeville for groceries & to walk around town, the college campus and the crumbling insane asylum grounds. Milledgeville is about 15 minutes away. There is a Kroger, a Super Wal-Mart & an Aldi, many restaurants and a mall are outside of the town. However, we were too contented at the cottage to go out often.
We left home in a snow storm and that night arrived at the cottage to 80 degrees, green trees, stars in the sky and the lake at our feet. Who could wish for more?! We all hope to return to this special place. The only think it lacked was a coffee pot!
Everything was great. Thank you for sharing.
I love being on lake Sinclair. Being able to step outside and be right on the water is amazing to m
1) great view of the lake
2) I have a boat. There needs to be more dock anchors to tie up to.
3) all the renovations were a nice touch; however, the driveway needs to be paved. Our car got stuck at the bottom and we had to tow it out. You can't take a car down there period. We almost got a 4 wheel drive vehicle stuck on the hill.
5) the dock also needs dock bumpers for boats
6) I plan to come back. It's a great little house.
Great view and lots to do!
Our family vacation at Lake Sinclair was amazing and we will definitely be back next year.
The house was nice and clean. It was a very welcoming environment. The only two things that we didn't too much care for was the layout of the house (no bathroom on the first floor) and the driveway was rough. The dock and the view were amazing. We caught a lot of catfish from the dock. The owners of the property were wonderful as well. They answered any and all questions we had. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
