Casa Rosita is a family owed property. Our family regularly visits Granada from various parts of the United States to get away from our busy lives and relax.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
Our family chose to purchase this property in beautiful Granada due to the location to all that Nicaragua has to offer. Granada is centrally located with easy access to the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, numerous volcanoes and wildlife areas as well as the historical locations that were so influential throughout the history of Central America. It is a quiet laid back lifestyle that we were looking for to escape our busy lives and Casa Rosita provides this environment.
Visitors are immersed in the colorful culture of Nicaragua, through its people and history. Casa Rosita underwent an extensive 1.5 year renovation with the addition of modern amenities such as a pool with a beautiful water feature, travertine floors downstairs, new wood floors upstairs, flat screen TVs throughout the house, stainless steel appliances, new air conditioning units and ceiling fans. Not only is Casa Rosita a rental property but it is our home away from home, thus it is beautifully furnished with artwork and comfortable furniture and fixtures to make anyone's stay enjoyable.
We have just returned from an enjoyable month at Casa Rosita. This house has an amazing location - half block from the Cathedral and main square, one block to the restaurant row on Calzada, two blocks to the local market etc.
The house is perfect for two couples as it has two air conditioned, queen bed, master bedrooms upstairs each with ensuite bath. The third bedroom has twin beds for overflow guests or children. Each master is well furnished with good linens, comfortable beds and flat screen tvs.
The main floor has a spacious living area with comfortable seating for 5. The living room flat screen tv has several English channels and the wifi works well throughout the house.
There is a well equipped kitchen with seating for 2-4 and a separate dining area seating 6.
The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off as you step in the door. There is an assortment of colourful local art and ceramics to give the house character. The house is spotlessly maintained by Katia, and her husband, the house manager is available for airport pickups and day trip outings.
Granada is a colourful and safe city with many restaurants and adventure outings available in the surrounding area.
Just returned from a week spent in this beautifully decorated home. The location cannot be better.A few meters from Parque Central, the Cathedral, and all the restaurants you can choose. Art galleries and ruins are all at walking distance. The house is very comfortably furnished, the towels are thick and generously provided, the sheets and pillows are very nice. But the BEST is the helper who takes care of the house.
She is so wondeful that we wished we could take her home with us!
She came every day to make the beds and clean the house as part of the arrangement with the owners but for a little extra she agreed to prepare meals for us. She loves to cook so we were treated to tastefully prepared and elegantly served meals that were simply outstanding!
We had meals at a few well known restaurants and at the Gran Francia but Kathya's meals were not far behind. We recommend highly this home if you visit Granada.
We have stayed in 5 different VRBO homes and this is our favorite, even though the price is less than some of the other homes in which we stayed. The location next to the plaza makes in very central and the front door security setup makes it feel very safe. Also, there are hotels on each side which also adds comfort.
We extended our stay a day because we enjoyed staying there so much. Features we enjoyed include:
- Spotlessly clean accomodations
- Charming and helpful attendant that did our laundry and wanted to do more than we asked. If felt like we had a maid there willing to do anything. She made us dinner one night, for which we will pay her extra. She is very pleasant. Her husband is the manager of the property and is very courteous.
- Small pool in the middle of the main floor courtyard. Wonderful to take a dip at night after a day of touring. Day we arrived somebody came to clean and service the pool. It was clean the day arrived.
- Wonderful bed sheets. Pillows that aren´t too thick and foamy, though not down feathers.
- Nice setup for family of six people. Plenty of bathrooms.
- Air conditioning in the two primary bedrooms. We only needed at night. We were fairly comfortable on the main floor without airconditioning in middle of October. The main level has open feel due to courtyard and pool in the middle of the house.
- Good cooking utensils and pans. Owners left foot in cupboards with instructions to use anything we wanted.
- Owner has been pleasant to work with.
For a family this was a wonderful value and very comfortable. We are travelling for nine months and I wish our family of six could have this accomodation every night. I wholeheartedly endorse this property.
- Interesting artwork from the region.
