This recently renovated condominium has hardwood floors, new contemporary furniture in the living room and bedroom, bamboo dining table, new bathroom fixtures, and has a large lanai outdoor deck on the first floor. It has a full view of the Pacific Ocean, and is on the ninth fairway of the Kona Country Club Golf Course.
Our condominium is on the first level of a three-story building. It comfortably sleeps six, and has a master bedroom, with a private bathroom and a separate enclosed bedroom. This unit is fully-equipped, has new appliances, granite countertops, and is recently decorated in a contemporary Hawaiian style. The unit is in excellent condition.
The spacious L-shaped living room has a murphy-bed which can be closed off as a private 2nd bedroom. The lanai is very spacious, and is perfect for outdoor entertaining. The surrounding area of the condominium is a landscaping delight.
Keauhou Bay is within a short walking distance of the condominium. There are excellent beaches close by, snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, parasailing, surfing, tennis, hiking, and golfing, are just a few of activities the big island has to offer. Do not miss the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Kona now offers some of the finest contemporary and Hawaiian dining.
Keauhou is uniquely located and only six miles from the town of Kona. It is close to coffee plantations which are very lush and tropical. The condominium is close to shopping, grocery stores, cinema, and restaurants. You will feel completely relaxed, with everything you need in this completely equipped condominium.
Experience the joy of Hawaii and explore some of the most beautiful land on this earth. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular, with wonderful ocean breezes!
We love traveling to Hawaii and think it would be an ideal location for a vacation. Every island has unique and varied things to do. We play golf, swim, snorkel, hike to different locations and, of course, eat at all the great restaurants.
John or Sharon purchased this condo in 2003
We loved the location, the view of the ocean, the beaches nearby, the golf and the peacfullness of our condo.
We enjoyed our stay in this light and bright main floor condo overlooking the golf course and ocean. The patio was a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view and golfers walking by. The kitchen was clean and well appointed as were the bathrooms. It was a nice surprise to have towels, beach towels, hand soap and even shampoo provided to us as most VRBO's don't provide such necessities. There were plenty of ceiling fans in the main living area and air conditioning in the bedroom that we were able to feel quite comfortable day and night. The bedroom was large with plenty of dresser and closet space and the mattress was comfortable. We had a lovely stay in this quiet homey condo. Thank you, as well, for the use of beach umbrellas and chairs.

Thank you, John & Sharon, for the use of your lovely condo. It was exactly as advertised. For all of you VRBO review readers, it was clean, comfortable and it had everything we expected. My husband loved the infrarred grill and we enjoyed the sunsets on the lani! The pool was great and we had it to ourselves most days. Ladies, there is a hairdryer in each bathroom and things for the beach like beach towels, beach chairs and noodles. The grocery store is close by to stock up for your stay. The complex is generally quiet except in the morning when they are mowing the lawn. The Sheraton is close by if you want to catch their luau. We rented a car which I would highly recommend. However, one day we did want to use the local trolley for an adventure. You can catch it at the Sheraton or the Kona Country Club and ride is down to the small beaches nearby and the shopping/restaurant area for $2.00 per ride. There is a schedule of the stops on-line. They are very punctual. It was fun. The driver even played us a song during one of the stops. Definitely stop at Huggo’s on the Rocks for food and a drink.
As far as the Big Island goes, we saw a lot. We would recommend the Big Island. There is a lot to do and it is laid back. There are no high-rises on the island. Don’t miss Volcano National Park! Make sure you stay until dark to see the cauldron at night. It is awesome. We actually rented a small cabin in the Park camping area for the night so we could stay late. There was a trail from the campsite to the Jagger Museum so you can walk back and forth easily. We rented a jeep so we could go up on Mauna Kea which above the clouds, the view was awesome and it was cold. We drove segways in the botanical gardens north of Hilo. (The same ones that the Duck Dynasty guys went on) It was a blast! We went to Akaka falls, the valley of the Kings and the Black Sand beach. Don’t missing see the sea turtles at the Black Sand Beach.

We recently spent a week in this property on the Big Island. The condo is very comfortable and amply supplied with all the kitchen, bath, and beach items you might need. It is conveniently located near a shopping center with a great grocery store, Long's drug store, restaurants, and a post office.
The view from the lanai across the golf course and down to the water is lovely. We enjoyed eating our meals out there, relaxing on the lounge chairs, and watching the sun set over the beautiful Pacific.
This condo is in a great location, very quiet and peaceful, convenient to shopping, dining, and downtown Kailua Kona. John and Sharon were very easy to work with and responded quickly to all communications. The condo was in pristine condition, and the description is accurate. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!
We arrived late at night, so we crept about quietly with our luggage and getting the Murphy bed down, so as not to disturb the neighbours. There was everything there - sheets, bed spread, towels (beach and bath), face and hand towels.
We we opened the louvered blinds in the morning, we were greeted by many species of birds flitting around singin' their songs and did I mention the view - Wow Whee! I stood in the door way to the deck for what must have been 1/2 hour just breathing in the sweet air and the standing awe-struck at the golf greens, the palm trees and the ocean!
We had a wee question about the WiFi password and owner John, got right back to us.
There could be a light under the cabinet for the night time fridge hunter and the blender could have been more substantial, but aside from that - we could not have asked for ANYTHING more! We thank you both for the pride you show in this rental property!
We have stayed in this complex many times over the years as we love the location, but this is the first time in John and Sharon's unit. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us with such beautiful sunsets. Personally for me, I think it would be a little crowded with 6 people, but with 4, even I would still be perfectly comfortable. The master bed was extremely comfortable.. what a wonderful surprise!! A few tiny improvements would make this an even bigger slice of heaven, and John and Sharon were very receptive to hearing about them.
We have every intention of requesting the use of this unit again next year. Thank you so much!

This condo is located in absolutely beautiful Keauhou Bay. It was quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. Unfortunately, due to Global Climate Change, it's not the same as it was 20 years ago. It was hot, muggy and buggy. I didn't have to use any A/C 20 years ago, but it was absolutely necessary this time. Due to unusual amount of rain this year, the caretaker mentioned that the bugs, especially the gnats, were horrendous. The condo being old and windows not shutting tight, the gnats had a field day inside the unit. A/C was an old window type and didn't have the appropriate temperature control to make it pleasant.
The steps leading to our unit was misshapen due to time, and it was easy to misstep. Nevertheless, the geckos kept us smiling.
