Why Barrie - please call before 9 pm EST I am the mom of triplets! chose Holland

Some properties near the area don't even have a lake view, and the entrance to the lake, is just from a small space. This home is true 'lakefront.'

What makes this house unique

This is lakefront, not just a lake view.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful weekend. Loved your beautiful home. It worked great for our big group. We were very blessed to have sunny, color-filled days. We hope to return next fall. Thank you!

Golf: Visit the shops or art galleries in Saugatuck or Douglas, go for a dune buggy ride, charter a fishing boat or sailboat, rent jet skis, go fruit-picking, at one of the many local orchards, visit the Fenn Valley Vineyards or just stay on the porch and read a book! If you choose not to drive, Saugatuck/Douglas Interurban will pick you up across the street or all activities are minutes by bike. Goshorn Lake is a spring-fed lake where you can fish off the dock or small boat. This lake has a sandy bottom. This is a well-maintained home. No smoking inside please by you or your guests! We ask that you leave the house as you found it (including boat), with the exception of the bedding and towels. This is our second home, please treat it gently. We will be returning, book us next year!

What a wonderful vacation home! My entire family enjoyed the home, the lake and the lovely town of Saugatuck. It was like a vacation in a bottle. The home is well maintained and beautiful. We can't describe how comfortable the wonderful owners have made it. The kitchen was perfect for our large family. We enjoy cooking together and there was more than enough space. We loved the open floor plan, it allowed us to all spend more time together. We recommend adding the paddle boat to your stay, the lake is too beautiful to miss. Book us for next year!

perfect location for a family get together

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Saugatuck before. Easy drive or bike ride into town. This location was great. The lake was quiet and easy to play in. The house had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay.

We did rent SUPs which they delivered to the house.

Very comfortable.

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend with our family! We had a group of 9 adults and one baby with us. It was the perfect size home for us - actually there were a few more beds available in the upstairs loft area that we didn't even use. The pool table converts into a large dining table, which fit our whole group for meals. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make big dinners every night.

The home is right on the water and we had fun fishing and using the canoe and paddle boat. It was a little chilly the weekend we were there so unfortunately we didn't do too much swimming, but if it were a typical hot summer weekend then we would have been in the lake the whole time! We also used the fire pit each night and played yard games - plenty of space!

We had to drive into town, but it's close. There is also a bike path that leads right to town if you want to bring some bikes or rent them. There was a farmer's market in town that we went to on Friday, but coming from Chicago it was pretty disappointing! I heard there's another one in Holland.

Overall it was a great stay and Barrie was very accommodating. I'd highly recommend this home.

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The property is lovely! It was wonderful to wake up and be on the lake...very relaxing. The place is well-stocked. The lay out of the rooms, especially the kitchen is well thought out.

Our 3 generation family enjoyed Saugatuck (charming town), Lake Michigan and this property!!
