Great house - tiled, freshly painted, very clean. It has everything you need, just show up and relax. The street is very quiet so there's no traffic noise. There is an empty lot across the street which increases the privacy. The back yard is completely fenced with privacy fencing. There's a lovely Pergola covered patio in the rear, with table, chairs and both a charcoal and a gas grill.
The furniture is all new (no used junk!) and it's very attractively furnished. It's super clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and has granite counters.
You can bring your dog or cat. They can roam free in the backyard.

I am the owner of an online marketing agency doing SEO, SEM and Social Media Marketing in Boston - Cirrus Media.
I bought this home because I just love the area. I do not, however have the chance to get away from Boston as often as I'd like. So I decided to offer my home to others who can get away!
I have a beautiful black standard poodle named Gracie. She is the sweetest dog I have ever met.
So, ask me anything about the house or the area. Oh - don't forget that November and December are GREAT months to be in Venice. May is very good too. So don't overlook those months.
Andrea Wasik purchased this house in 2007
I searched high and low for this property. I wanted something on a quiet street with privacy. This house is super. It's got a great floor plan. It's so easy to get to at least 4 beaches from this spot.
Load up the chairs and umbrellas and you can zip right off to a nearby beach. Drive 10 mins to Venice Ave, where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Sunsets at any of the beaches are superb - it's like being in California, only the weather is better!!
We rented this house from mid Jan 2015-mid April. We were very disappointed that so many things were not as advertised: HD TV was not HD box equipped therefore picture was distorted. Being that we were there for 3 months we were not on the go everyday and looked forward to watching tv. Owner told us to buy Roku and subscribe to Netflix. There were no garage door openers as stated, owner said she couldn't find "just use touchpad". When we got there we had to replace burned out light bulbs, with led as requested by owner, at cost of $48.00 which we were not compensated for. She told us we should have told her and she would have ordered from Amazon a,d we could have been in the dark till they came. Not having potable water was a real inconvenience. We had no cell phone reception inside the house. We have Verizon carrier. Had to go outside which was ok unless raining as lani leaked. Two grills were unusable, rusted and filthy. I have pictures to prove. Had to set up my own wifi as she didn't give us password. TV service quit was unable to reach owner finally got help after going to Comcast office. I'm sure there were other inconveniences that I don't recall. I don't like giving a bad review but would not like potential renters to have to experience the inconveniences we did. Maybe my review will instigate the changes that will make this house the pleasant "home away from home" we had expected. We had to contact owner numerous times to get our deposit returned, which took almost two months.
we rented this house for the month of March. The house was very nice and in a great location, very quiet and close to many beaches. One of my concerns was that once we got there and read the instructions it stated that we should not drink or cook with the water. we had to buy drinking water. had we known that we may not had recanted the house. also the beds were very uncomfortable. The master bed was very, very soft. not very good for a bad back. The twin beds in the spare room had very squeaky beds and uncomfortable. the gas grill was very low on gas and needed to be filled. also the grill was very rusted. it was necessary to put foil on it before we could use it.
when we first arrived we were told that her parents would let us in the house. it turned out they were in South Carolina and would't be the next day. they were able to give us the code to get in the garage so we could get in.
we found it very difficult to get hold of the owner. we had to call several times before she would return our calls. we were also told that we would be given first refusal for next years rental. it turns out that she recanted it out before asking if we wanted it for next year.
all and all we would not be renting from her in the future.
We rented this house for a week and were blown away as soon as we walked through the door! We traveled from Ohio, so it was refreshing to finally get to Florida, But to walk into a place as nice as this one, was a bonus! We would definitely stay again...It accommodated our family of five and our two dogs very nicely! We loved visiting the dog beach which was only 10 minutes away! It definitely confirmed that we will be moving to Florida in the near future!
My family of 3 had a great time using this rental. The house is spacious and nicely outfitted with everything one could need for a comfortable stay. We were able to get to several different beaches in the Sarasota area, in just a short 5 to 10 minutes. My favorite was Nokomis Beach but Venice and Mannasota, and Casperson were very nice beaches. Parking was available at different times, even though it was Spring Break week. There were plenty restaurants and grocery stores just outside the neighborhood and yet, the house was tucked in just enough from the main road, so we had peace and quiet. We even drove to Orlando (2.5 hours) to visit Universal Studios for one full day. It was an easy drive from Venice. Go to Venice Avenue for a great GELATO and quaint shops; just a walk on the shade off the public beach entrance was nice too. I can't wait to go back to this rental for many trip in the Summers to come.
