The Owner purchased this house in 2010
We booked this home as a Thanksgiving halfway meeting place with our daughter who lives in Atlanta. We have two dogs (one is a Newfoundland) and she has one. I'm glad I took the advice of another reviewer and actually looked at the pictures of the inside. This house with the fenced back yard was perfect for our purposes. We did not need to worry about the dogs since the backyard was fenced. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. We happened to read about the Southern Lights drive through Christmas light display at the nearby KY Horse Park. It was the highlight of our trip! We stopped for BBQ at the "joint" down the street that is walking distance- no sidewalks and very busy road so we stopped in our way back from KY Horse Park. Quick drive to Univ of KY for a walk around campus and downtown Lexington attractions including ice skating. We may comeback to do the Bourbon Trail.
Nice house, well maintained. Kitchen had everything we needed and grill was right out back. Space allowed gathering at the kitchen table or spreading out on (comfy) couch for quiet TV time and never felt crowded. Road out front is a busy road but really don't hear the traffic from inside. The BBQ place that is literally walking distance down the street is REALLY good. Very convenient to the KHP. Owner nice to work. We plan to stay here again!
Location, location, location! If showing at the Kentucky Horse Park - this house is for you! Nice, clean, comfortable home. Owner is very pleasant to work with and attentive to detail. We rented for two weeks and highly recommend and hope to be back in the future!
The house was cozy & comfortable. We cooked just about every night during our stay & had everything we needed to do so. It was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit during our stay. The owner was very helpful & responded in a quick and timely manner. We would recommend this rental as a great place to stay especially if you want to be close enough to the action without being directly in it. Also, it was awesome to have horses directly across the street, they are quite beautiful & this house is located in the midst of horse country.
This was a great place especially for the price. Very close to great golf courses and just a short ride to downtown Lexington. We had Uber drivers pick us up to take us downtown for some drinks and it's only a $32 round trip. The house is as nice as the pictures looked. The only thing that is odd is the top rail of one of the showers kept coming off and the doors would fall off the tracks.
The location was splendid. Just a short trip to either Georgetown or Lexington plus other small specialty stores nearby for beer, wine and liquor or food, gas, etc... Fenced in backyard was great. Our group of 6 used the provided lawn chairs and grilled out on the provided grill. Kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of pots, pans, dishes, utensils and anything else you can think of. House was very cozy and inviting with attractive horse decor. The renter was very easy to work with and the whole experience was very pleasant. We will be back.
