We find joy in sun, water, and nature. Boating and fishing have always been our relaxation and sharing the joy with others.
Our 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren, plus the extended family all live close by. We live in Kitty Hawk, NC, also known as the Outer Banks, or OBX. Beaches and Boats describe our favorite activities.
Our first experience to the Abacos was 2002,
at Treasure Cay. Staying for a week, renting a boat, exploring the area, we were hooked!
The pristine water, velvety sand, calm feeling of casual lowkey getaway captured our hearts. We never take for granted the beauty of the Abacos, the Bahamian culture, and all that makes this the Best of the Bahama chain of islands. We were fortunate to find the condo in Atlantis from the original owner.
Having the boat slip behind the condo sealed the decision, and the quiet location overlooking the large water of Brigantine Bay made buying a dream come true.
We love to have guest stay at 'Conch Out', to experience the beauty of this special place, Treasure Cay. The condo is perfectly located for those that boat, or just want to relax at the beach, by the pool, or on the patio after a full day. Our location is private, with most of the upper units closed in the summer, the owners are in residence during the winter and early spring. The Brigantine Bay is the name of the body of water behind the condo, and you can watch the boats going in and out, catch glimpses of sealife, porpoise, turtles, fish along the docks. At night, the heavenly skies are so clear, that the stars and galaxies seem to be within reach. The silence of the night is experienced and enjoyed by walking along the dock. Inside the condo, the furnishings are very casual for your visit. Our desire is for others to enjoy the condo and the Abacos, for the delightful experience of sharing fond memories with family and friends. We thank you to all the past guest that return, and the new ones to come to this 'sweet spot'.
We've had a wonderful time staying in your condo. Thank you. It's been perfect for our family, it's location, size and it was fully equipped for our needs! We went to piggy vile a deserted island apart from wild pigs who will swim in the water & feed from your hands! Great fun & a brilliant end to a fortunate holiday in a lovely condo!
Perfect for our needs. If you're looking for a nice easy condominium with a dock you don't have to look any further than this. The unit itself is well set up with tons of supplies that you would normally have to buy yourself when renting a vacation condominium. Things like trash bags insect repellent condiments and spices ...the unit was ready for guests. I've rented a lot of condominiums and this was by far the easiest to move into and start living. The location is excellent with quick access to open water by boat, easy access to the beach and a quick walk to the Tipsey Seagull for a drink. The owners were very good about keeping in contact and eager to help if mecessary. Their cabdriver, Louise, is the gem whose resources I should have tapped further....she knows everyone. The housekeeper, Ann, was also very helpful. I would rent here again in a heartbeat.
Condo is basic but nice and clean. Right on the water wit a dock....rent a boat. We had heavy winds three days but went to Green Turtle Cay one day...great beaches. Had a guide show us around in our rented boat. Caught snappers and hooked 10' shark. Bring food to pigs on no name cay. We'll be back.
I stayed a week the end of February 2017. This was my first vacation traveling alone and I felt 100% comfortable in this condo complex and throughout all of Treasure Cay. I heard about this complex through a friend who owns a condo in the complex.
I should start off by saying great communication and response time with DeLana. The condo was everything I had hoped for and more… Clean, bright, sunny and a perfect location. I clearly can tell if I had met her we could be friends!
All the second-home owners are down to earth and extremely family friendly! It makes me want to return and stay a month or more next time. There is a Friday night potluck and everybody including the renters are invited – clearly a fun group of people. There is yoga at Cocoas on the beach twice a week as well as aerobics twice a week… The instructors are 100% professionals, great attendance and great work out! Again everyone sooo friendly!
The beach is as beautiful as it appears in photos. And there are so many Cays to explore you would never get bored returning year after year. There are few people on the beach so you definitely experience a quiet getaway! I returned with so many beautiful conch shells, sea biscuits and sand dollars! Several days of fun finding theses treasures!
Few cars as golf carts and bicycles are the main form of transportation. You feel you have stepped back in time!
What can I say if I have to make a negative comment it is that my stay was too short ! 🙃
Thanks so much James and DeLana for sharing your home in paradise!
My experience was wonderful. The condo was wonderful. The owners were extremely accommodating and easy to deal with. They even hooked us up with a local who was willing to take care of any special requests we had. Having our own dock was wonderful. It allowed us the ability to rent a boat from Sunset Marine on Green Turtle Cay which saved us money. The only negative was that we couldn't stay forever. Treasure Cay is a very special place. We will be back for sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Conch out in Treasure Cay. The residence is very comfortable, sumptuously furnished with all necessary mod cons and more as well as being very well maintained. Stating the obvious, the condominium is walking distance to one of the earth's top rated beaches and all local facilities on Treasure Cay (Florence the local baker even takes special orders and prepared for us a delicious key lime pie on short notice). We highly recommend this residence and thank Delana and James for their assistance with the travelling logistics and being such graceful and friendly hosts. They are wonderful people.
Our family has been visiting to Treasure Beach area and other Abaco Islands for years. We have rented condos in that same complex before and enjoyed the location and amenities of the area. When we walked in the condo it was apparent that Chopper and Delana have spent a lot of time making their vacation home perfect for all that visit. The kitchen was a pleasure to see and all the notes and instructions for the stay where very helpful. We have already told many of our boating friends that we have found the perfect place in Treasure. Delana and Chopper where very helpful with a stateside issue we had during our stay, the Internet phone was priceless during our issue. Great owners. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

Treasure Cay Beach is just a short walk from 'Conch Out'.
Ride the bikes or rental golf cart and access the 3 mile white powdery sand beach, by the CoCo Beach Bar and Grill or any 'Greenway to the Beach' sign along the uncrowded beachfront. The beach grill serves delicious food and spirits while you take in the view of the brillant turquoise waters of the Sea of Abaco, and the out islands beyond to be explored by boat or ferry. In the evening, the Spinnaker Restaurant, a quick walk from the condo, serves delicious food in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Later in the evening, special Bahamian music and DJ 'Chris the Burner' cranks up at Tipsy Seagull Bar located adjacent to the restaurant under a large gazebo with pool. Every Thursday night is Pizza Night under the gazebo, eat in or take out. From the condo patio, view the evening skies upon returning by the lighted walkways.
