Our family of 11 (3 generations, ages 67 thru 8) spent a week here over New Years. The goal was to make some memories. Mission accomplished....in spades.
The view cannot be captured in pictures. Outstanding.
The property exceeded everyone's expectation.
The staff was top notch.
The food delicious. Kids still talking about Diego's breakfast burritos.
Carolos kept everyone supplied with Pina Coladas and mojitos. So accommodating to the adults as well as the kids.
Thelma and Olitia kept everything spotless as well as did our laundry...which we certainly didn't expect.
Andre, our driver for the week (which I highly recommend. No worries)
Nester and his wife Carole, the administrators of the property and owners of Savannah Trek (http://www.savannahtrekcr.com/en/ ) had everything we wanted arranged. Not one hiccup. They thought of everything. The tours they selected were a huge hit with all the ages. Nestor was great tour guide and everyone learned so much. As well as not have to be in big crowds waiting in line which was huge with 5 kids.
Bottom line. If you are looking to have a vacation you will always remember......look no further. Vista de Oro. Pure Vida!
Our family vacation was wonderful. The accommodations are spetacular, and the staff was outstanding. This was our second time at this home and it gets better every time. It's one of the most beautiful places on earth.
We stayed here last July for 5 nights and loved it. This year we returned to CR for 17 days. First part of trip was in Dominical and then in Cabo Matapalo in the Osa. Both houses were great but there is something so so special about Villa Vista de Oro and it was the perfect way to end a phenominal trip. AC didn't hurt either!
THE VIEW!!! 180 degrees of ocean, sunsets, evening lighting storms, birds and flowers. Howler monkeys in the morning. I can never tire of the view.
THE FOOD!! Diego's food was delicious. Pancakes, freshly made sausages, toast, omlettes and fresh fruit for breakfast, lunches like ceviche or amazing nachos, and dinners and desserts that had us licking our plates (and raiding the kitchen later at night to eat some of that amazing coconut pie or icecream!) Pina coladas and milk shakes for the kids and mojitos and margaritas for adults. Lovely presentation too.
SERVICE!! After arriving from the Osa where everything is damp and stinky, laundry is done and folded and delivered to your room. House is kept impeccably clean. The new caretakers, Nestor and Carole, making sure we had everything we needed and then some, driving us to Pez Vela to go for a swim, keeping the wine and gin that we liked fully stocked, turning off lights when we went to bed and bringing the dogs for a visit and swim bc we missed our dog so.
THE ALL INCLUSIVE ASPECT-We stayed here for 4 days and never left except for a beach swim. We swam in amazing pool, played games, watched movies, napped in hammock. Everything is taken care of!
Beds are super comfy. Towels lush. Baths great. AC lovely. I love the open air aspect and THE VIEW!!!
And best of all, we got to meet Kelly, the owner, and Modesta, who was the interim caretaker last year. Cannot wait to return for a third time.
I had an event for a social group at Villa Vista de Oro. Previously speaking with the owner Kelly I was told that the view was to die for! But when we arrived at the Villa I literally almost died! She was so right the view is amazing, the sunset setting on a beautiful hill! We could not of ask for more!
Kelly and her staff were so accommodating. They truly went above and beyond everything that we need for the event!
Coming from a different country and not being able to see the location of your event can be scary but trust me! Kelly is very trustworthy and the house will be better than you ever imagined!
Our stay at Villa Vista de Oro was incredible. Our entire family of 11 spent the week of Christmas here and it was full of awesomeness. The villa is absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained by an incredible staff. It has 180 degree views of the ocean complete with beautiful sunsets and great breezes. We had the pleasure of monkeys on a few mornings out the front door. The birds were all very entertaining as well.
Four of the bedrooms had splendid ocean views and the “bunk” room upstairs had great jungle views. Every bathroom was jaw dropping gorgeous.
I cannot rave enough about the staff and the all-inclusive aspect of this villa. Isabel was a savior with her fluent English. She arranged for smooth pickup and drop off of family coming in from the Ohio, Oregon and England! She arranged for all of our tours and shopping excursions with expert precision. Isabel was there every day to meal plan with us and answer any questions what so ever. What a beautiful person she is and a pleasure to talk to and visit with. And I can’t say enough about the all-inclusive way this villa is run. This method takes all of the hassle out of everything. There was always plenty of beer, wine, water, food, whatever we needed. Isabel even made a special “coffee run” to get us coffee to take home.
Chef Jose cooked us 3 wonderful, delicious meals everyday with fantastic desserts as well. He even accommodated one of our family members that had dietary restrictions. Jose Mario kept the pool spotless, our drink glasses full and even protected us from a possum in a tree that was driving the dogs crazy one night, haha. Costa Ricans celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve so we wanted to give them the night off. Chef Jose and the staff prepared our entire dinner ahead of time so all we had to do was just grill it up and serve it. Complete with a delicious, festive dessert of course. No aspect went unforgotten.
Isabel arranged for us to go fishing (caught a huge Mahi Mahi), paddle boarding, sail/snorkel cruising and shopping. She even accompanied us to the local rodeo that was in a nearby town. What a great experience that was! I shouldn’t forget about the local rescue Monkey Farm either. Very interesting and worth the visit.
Everything was perfect and you just can’t put a price on being able to spend quality family time together with no hassles. I would certainly recommend this wonderful villa to anyone.
We ( group of 8) arrived on Dec 12th with very high expectations, only to find ourselves speechless as everything we saw and experienced exceeded our expectations.
The view from the villa was breathtaking, the open living area awesome, spectacular pool and very comfortable bedrooms.
The service we received was wonderful and gracious. The entire staff ( Jose Luis the chef, Mario Jose the caretaker, Erica and Gerly housekeeping) under Isabel Zungia's supervision and guidance was top notch, always smiling and willing to attend to you anytime.
Would recommend Villa Vista De Oro to all our family and friends.
