Wild Dunes House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

Bank Cards accepted! Enjoy the world-class amenities of Wild Dunes Resort, just minutes from historic Charleston, from our enchanting "Sand Dune" house. This house, sitting high on a sand dune, boast one of the highest elevations on the resort, giving "peak a boo" ocean views from the front and golf course views from the back. The Pelican Bay neighborhood, with its own pool, is less than a five-minute walk to the water's edge. This neiborhood is known for it's nice quiet wide streets (unlike so many neighborhoods in Wild Dunes) Most importantly, the beach located close to the house is a wide beach, both at low tide AND high tide!

When asked to describe the house, the interior designer had these adjectives to say - fun, funky, upscale, nautical, retro, bright, beachy, and comfortable. Wow! Where do we start?

Built in the traditional beach style, a flight of stairs takes you to the lower-level porch. This is where the kids will go to escape the adults, who will surely have commandeered the upstairs porch. The front door opens to the lower-level bedrooms. The master has a King-size bed, with a luxurious feather bed, a private bath, and opens to the screened rear porch with golf course views. The other two downstairs rooms are also furnished with queen-size feather beds and share a bath. One of these bedrooms opens to the rear-screened porch.

Taking the stairs to the upper level, you are immediately struck by the windows, the light, and all the fantastic views. The open living area features a dining table for eight, a seating area for TV viewing (with a queen-size sleeper sofa), a game table, and a reading nook. The darling kitchen, with its nautical red countertops, comes complete with everything needed by the chef, whether you are feeding your family or entertaining friends. A bedroom with two twin feather beds and a full bath complete the upper level. Except for the porch.

The high, airy porch gives you a bird's eye view of Wild Dunes. This is why you will want an early wake up to enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the ocean. By night the sounds of waves crashing on the shore soothe even the most frayed of nerves. This large, screened porch features a wicker pub table with four chairs and a comfortable lounging area with wicker loveseat and rockers. It will be hard to leave this wonderful space!

We have tried to provide everything we could think of, including a Wild Dunes sportscard so that you could take advantage of everything this resort(which was named among the top 100 family Resorts) has to offer. We even offer Broadband web access for those people that don't want to feel too "out of touch".

This is a newly decorated house that we feel sure will have wonderful comments added in the future! If you are looking at this before the pictures go up on the website, please look at my other houses and you will be able to get the general "feel" of each house. We specialize in all the little touches that set us aside from all the other owner/renters. Thank you for taking the time to check us out!

GREAT Vacation Home!

  • 5 of 5

We highly recommend this home if you are going to Wild Dunes! The neighborhood is just across the street from the beach. The house has a really neat layout with the main floor on the top level. It was open and spacious and we could really hang out together. We only went out to dinner once and cooked all the other meals at home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The screened in porch was so nice to use in the morning and evenings for coffee and cocktails. Last but definitely not least, the bedding. All the beds were so comfy I want Beth to help me with my home!! We hope to go back again soon!

Did not get refund for day late delivery of the golf cart!

  • 4 of 5

The house and location was great. We enjoyed our evenings on the screened in porch. But the poor attention to deliver the golf cart after emailing the manager 2 weeks in advance was a bit upsetting. Especially after she mentioned a refund would be sent that week and we still have not received it.

Best Vacation We've had in Years!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our vacation in Isle of Palms thanks to the incredibly spacious and luxurious accommodations within walking distance of the beach. You would be hard pressed to find a better value for your money.

The Wild Dunes resort facilities far exceeded our expectations. They have tons of activities to entertain the kids while still providing an exclusive resort get away for the adults. Private beach club facilities, spa services, kayaks, fishing, swimming pools, boat tours and rentals...the list goes on and on. We took a guided sunset kayak tour of the lowlands and had up close encounters with so much wildlife including dolphins. Amazing!

The beach house had everything we needed and it really felt like home and helped us unwind. Very clean, comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for multiple couples and kids. Everything worked as advertised including the cable TV and wireless internet. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cookware, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc. You don't need to bring anything except your food, condiments, and beverages. We usually ate our meals on the screened in porch with views of the ocean...fabulous! You will be tempted to eat all your meals at "home" but don't miss the fabulous local cuisine available at several great restaurants on Sullivan's Island just a short drive away.

The owners made check in and check out very simple and they were very prompt and welcoming with all our communications. We will definitely vacation here again!

Perfect Beach House - It Will Make Your Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent an extended Memorial Day vacation and our only regret is we didn't stay longer at this amazing beach home. As nice as the pictures are they still don't do it complete justice. The owners provide discerning renters with everything you could want. From plush linens to top-of-the line fixtures, upbeat and tasteful decor throughout,a screened in porch (very rare in this area) to fast and reliable wi-fi and reading nooks and welcoming spaces to hang out. You leave refreshed and pampered.

The location on IOP is outstanding with a quick walk to an amazing club house on the beach. When we had more beach stuff with us we just drove over and thanks to the parking pass that came with the resort pass (provided with the rental) we parked mere feet from the clubhouse and beach. We ran every morning on the beach and took moonlit walks on this huge section of the beach. I was able to keep up with the office thanks to the wi-fi that also reached the porch. Breathing ocean air and hearing the waves does wonders for the creativity! The golf course is right there and the high elevation of the home literally give you a bird's eye view of the area. There is also a community pool that we never went to because the beach was so beautiful and enticing. The neighborhood is very quiet and calming.

The kitchen is great for making meals if you choose and the rooms are gorgeous and the mattresses feel like you are in a five-star hotel! Also, the layout of the house with three of the bedrooms downstairs creates additional privacy that practically begs you to take afternoon naps. Additionally the downstairs screened in porch adds to the privacy and retreat feeling of the home. There is a long driveway with covered parking. That along with the wide, landscaped cul-de-sac ensures plenty of parking for larger groups enjoying the home.

Arranging the rental was easy and efficient. The property manager was very helpful and promptly provided all we needed and helped us understand the resort so we could plan appropriately.

Oh and the house is immaculately clean which is mind boggling for a place that is a quick walk to the beach.

Without a single hesitation, I recommend renting this perfect beach house! The only challenge will be getting on the calendar so I also recommend booking as soon as you can!

What a lovely home and the location is perfect. What I liked most was that it was very clean and crisp. The walls were bright colors. The owners really know how to take care of the house. I would absolutely go back!

A wonderful time, great porch!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time with another family, ten of us total, who had plenty of room and more than enough opportunities to keep busy in the great part of SC. We were pleased with the layout, cleanliness and decor if the home. Many an evening were enjoyed on the top front porch, taking in the view and scenery of neighboring homes. The beach is a short walk across the street and the golf course is right out back. A special treat was affordable and convenient bike rentals from the resort area.
