Live in Charlotte, NC about an hour and a half away from Lake Lure and try to get there every chance I get and make sure everything is well maintained for my guests and my family.
Wayne purchased this cabin in 2007
The very first time I was in Lake Lure I purchased this cabin. It was so lovely I just happened into a realtors office and that was that. One of the best things I ever did.
You will find this cabin to be more like staying at a friends home than a rental. Because I stay here every chance I get it is well thought out and very well stocked and comfortable with attention to detail.
Yes, sadly this is our last day here. We have loved your cabin. My wife and I have rented places such as this all over the South Eastern and South Western U.S. and we firmly believe that your cabin is the best we have rented. In terms of provisions, it is superb. No one has provided as much as you have.
Thanks very much for making your cabin available, we have had a very enjoyable time.
You get a very home like feel when you stay here. The rooms were all very comfortable, the view at night was full of stars and so peaceful. Great street to take a stroll on. Wayne was so very responsive and helpful. The home was immaculate.
Will definitely stay here again. You are close to everything you need. You will enjoy your stay!
The cabin was just like the pictures. Very cozy and well equipped. We were there for a wedding at the Lake Lure Inn and Spa and the cabin was the perfect place for our family to stay and be together. The cabin is secluded yet very convenient to everything. Wayne was very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. We would recommend this as a great place for a cozy getaway or family vacation.
This lovely mountain side cabin was just what we wanted: secluded, family friendly, great views, open layout, well stocked and dog friendly! We cooked, hiked, played on the porch, and really enjoyed our family time here.
I would recommend it to our friends!
My wife and I stayed at Wayne's cabin for the first time last week to celebrate our anniversary. We both desperately needed some relaxation time from our jobs. This cabin was perfect. So quiet and relaxing, yet close to all kinds of activities. We cooked our own meals most of the time and never were lacking any kitchen items because the cabinets have everything. Our two dogs also loved it. The area restaurants were mostly dog friendly, so when we did eat out, the pups came along. Went hiking on several of the many local trails or just sat around the cabin reading every day. Having breakfast on the deck every morning was the perfect start to the day, especially with the view.
We will definitely be planning another visit.
Our third time staying & as always great experience. Pet friendly, well stocked, very clean with great wrap around porch! Highly recommend this cabin with a terrific view out the back of mountains.
I had been though Lake Lure on a trip a few years ago and had been wanting to visit for a few days. I went to the cabin with my 2 teenage boys, the fur baby, and my parents whom are in their 70s. Everyone had a great time. The cabin is secluded but very close to Lake Lure. It felt very much like walking into a home. There is a lot of living space with the large decks, the time of year was perfect for keeping the doors open and enjoying the cool weather.
The Cabin is very well maintained and clean. There are beautiful views off the deck. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook there. I would recommend staying here to anyone that would like to enjoy Lake Lure. We went hiking at chimney rock and took a 2 hours horseback trail ride. There is so much to do in the area that we could not really do everything we wanted too in 2 days. We will certainly be back and would happily stay at Wayne’s Cabin again.
