Nestled on the bank of Lake Sutherland, this private and comfortable, 600 square foot cabin is located on the sunny north shore, along Highway 101. The fishing and trout theme for this cabin fits perfectly as the lake is abundant with Kokanee, Cut Throat and Rainbow trout.

Enjoy a full day of sunshine, while lounging on the decks or fishing from the dock.

Enjoy the beautiful pine wainscoting and tongue and grove cedar ceilings throughout much of cabin. A full size hide-a bed sofa in the living room opens to the coziness and crackling of fire from a river rocked fireplace with woodstove or just lounge and watch satellite TV, DVDs or listen to music.
Tiled kitchen is fully furnished with full size refrigerator, small beverage refrigerator, gas cook stove and oven, which opens to the living room. I have lived my entire life on the North Olympic Peninsula. I am very fortunate to live here and it is a beautiful place to visit. I have three adult children who still love to spend time and enjoy the waters of Lake Sutherland. I work and live in Port Angeles, but try to spend some weekends escaping life's demands by relaxing at the lake. I have a sign at the cabin that reads, 'If you are lucky enough to live on the water, you are lucky enough'. That says it all!
Tammy Wooldridge purchased this cabin in 2003
Lake Sutherland is a prime piece of property on the North Olympic Peninsula. This cabin was bought in 2003 and fully remodeled in 2004 - 2005. There is a public boat launch on the south shore side of the lake. This location is 10 minutes away from the Olympic National Park, 40 minutes from Forks, WA., home of Twilight books and movies and a ferry ride to British Columbia, Canada.
Fishing, boating, kayaking, tubing, skiing, bird watching, hunting, family time.
I don't hand out high ratings if not deserved, but the cabin was better and larger than expected. The pictures don't do the living room size justice. Yes, the rooms are a little cramped but it's a cabin, not a full sized house. Great location, but note that there is a very short, yet steep, trail hike required to get to the home, and no private parking . Aside from that, it's private and comes with everything you will need. Save some packing, because Tammy provided wood to burn, a kayak, cable TV, wifi internet, plates, utensils, towels, fresh and nice new sheets/pillows, and basically everything but food. We didn't meet but she had one of those realtor locks on the door so you put in a code and the key pops out. She responds to all texts and was very accommodating. I almost feel bad leaving a 5-star review because it means it might be harder for me to reserve the place next time if it gets too much praise, lol.
Our long weekend at Cozy Cabin was terrific. We arrived and were immediately taken by the beautiful view from the living room and bedroom. The cabin was spotless and everything we needed was already there right down to a hair dryer and straightener. The weather was fantastic and we spent the entire time on the dock, in the water and on the kayak. My husband even caught a nice trout, that he promptly released, off the nice dock that was set up with chairs and small tables. The only thing that would have made our "dock day" more enjoyable was an umbrella to sit under. It was very warm so we had to retreat to the cabin one day to watch a DVD (lots to choose from) and take a nap. Yes, the rough life. :-) Tammy has done a great job with her cabin. Flower boxes along the windows as well as many potted flowers surrounding the cabin, gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit and a small table and chair on a lower deck. Just beautiful! Suffice to say our time there was really relaxing and enjoyable and we will be returning next summer and will stay longer.
Excellent Lake cabin. Very clean, with a comfortable homey feel and plenty of room. Tammy was a great host. Highly recommended.
My wife and I loved our stay at the cozy cabin on Lake Sutherland. The cabin was well appointed and made an excellent launching point for our adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. So, stop reading about where to stay, book your trip, and experience the magic!
We used this cabin as a jumping off point for exploring Olympic, and it was perfect for us. Our 6 year old daughter especially loved the resident ducks that would hop up on the deck to greet her. Well stocked and true to its name, we were very cozy there! We had fires inside almost every night, and were able to disconnect and relax. Thanks, Tammy!
My fiancee and I had another wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin! Playing banjo around the fire, sitting out on the dock soaking up the sun and drinking coffee while watching birds - A perfect way to get away from the busy city for awhile. I've personally recommended to a variety of friends for those who want to escape for a weekend.
I contacted Tammy at the last minute when we had a family event at the lake.
Our kids stayed there and had wonderful things to say about Cozy Cabin so we'll definitely book it again. Thank you Tammy!
