Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)
We are a family of five living in Boulder, Colorado. We love to vacation in Crested Butte! In Winter, we downhill ski, Nordic ski and backcountry ski. In summer, we hike and mountain bike. Our favorite Crested Butte events are the July 4th parade and the Alley Loop Nordic Ski in February. We would be happy to answer any of your questions about activities in Crested Butte. -Mark and Leslie
Leslie purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Leslie chose Crested Butte
We visited Crested Butte many times over 20 years before purchasing Sopris Cabin in March 2010. We like being in town for the proximity to restaurants, shops and Nordic trails. But we also downhill ski, so being close to a ski shuttle stop was important--there is one just a block away. We feel fortunate to own this piece of Crested Butte history -- a fully updated historic cabin.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our prime location in the historic town makes our cabin unique! We are located just one block from the main ski shuttle stop at 2nd and Elk. (There are only five shuttle stops in town, so many properties do not have this important benefit.) Additional features that set us apart are the comfortable king-size bed in the main-level bedroom, a fenced yard--really nice for your pet, and an off-street parking space.

Perfect Crested Butte Location
The cabin is just in the best location in town. You are just around the corner from the main street, and it is just a few steps to all the restaurants and shops. Just a great location.
The cabin had been recently remodeled and was very spacious, clean and quiet. The owner checked in on us mid-way through our stay and was very accommodating.
Steps from Elk Ave
The Sopris Cabin is the perfect spot to enjoy all the action on Elk Avenue! The historic cabin is perfectly appointed with everything you might need. The decor is eclectic and cozy - exactly what we wanted for our Crested Butte vacation. The newly remodeled bathroom was beautiful. You are steps away from shops, restaurants, and bars on historic Elk Ave or take the Mountain Express to Crested Butte Mountain Resort to explore all it has to offer each season. The deck off the back of the house provided a wonderful place to relax or grill up some dinner. It was great having dedicated parking especially during the busy 4th of July holiday. We love CB and highly recommend the Sopris Cabin - I hope we can come back soon!
Nice cottage and great location
Nice cottage, excellent for a couple. Good outside area with a grill. Minimal view of mountains; however, the feature of Sopris is the terrific location one block off of Elk Avenue. The location gave solitude from the historic downtown, yet was so close for frequent walks to activities on Elk.
Location is the best!
Nice small cabin perfect for a couple with a dog. Clean and very nicely decorated.
Would have stayed longer but booked for the summer.
short walk to free ski shuttle stop, Nordic Center, ice rink
