|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Enter your private hideaway through the lower sun room. You will find two bedrooms, a private bath-with claw foot tub-a complete kitchen, and a living room-dining room combination.
A private laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Walk out your living room to a large private deck with a 180 degree view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
We are on a dead end road, just five minutes from Sea-Tac airport, and 15 minutes from downtown Seattle. Close to numerous attractions, or secluded enough to just relax and enjoy the view for a few days.
Marcella & I live in the upper portion of the home.
Ron Goldsberry purchased this house in 1990
Beautiful view. Close to downtown Seattlle, but on a dead end street with no traffic
What a lovely time we had while in Seattle. It was our first trip to Washington and our first time to ever use VRBO. We give both home and location five gold stars and hope to be back in the near future. The view from the deck alone is worth renting this home! If we weren't traveling on such a short time frame and needing/wanting to accomplish several things while there, I could have easily never left the house for several days and just soaked in the view of the water and the passing of the boats. Just lovely! We didn't meet Ron's wife, but Ron was an absolute delight and very helpful with any questions we had. On a side note, the drive in to Seattle is very doable. Traffic? Sure. But, depending on where you are coming from, it may not be any worse than what you are already accustomed to. We live in Nashville, TN so to be really honest, it wasn't a whole lot worse than what we experience during our rush hour. If you work your day around the times to avoid the bottle-neck, you'll be fine.
The absolute only thing I can say about our stay that wouldn't get five stars is the wifi signal. The farther you get from the kitchen, the weaker the signal becomes. As long as you're prepared to toggle between wifi and your personal data depending on your location in the home, you'll be fine.
Thanks, Ron! We hope to see you again real soon!
The view from the deck is lovely. The unit is located off the beaten track and quiet. Owners are very accommodating. It was quite tight for the four of us. (The master bedroom had either a full or very small queen size mattress and no room to move around the room. The 2nd bedroom barely fit the 2 twin beds.) The kitchen is tiny - no dishwasher and limited counter space. Getting into Seattle took 20 minutes (WATCH THE TRAFFIC - can take twice as long during rush hour). There is no beach access unless you drive. (The nearest access was closed due to unsafe steps to the beach) We drove up to Discovery Park one day - great hiking trails and beaches to roam. Nice for a honey moon couple or family with small children but not really big enough for 4 adults.
This place was absolutely amazing. The view from the house was beautiful. The house was nice and clean. Plenty to do around town. Close to Seattle and surrounding areas. The owner was very friendly and easy to get in touch with.
Wow, are we happy we found this place. The home is wonderfully decorated and very well stocked. And the trees, the fresh air, the stunning views...just so glorious and serene, we felt like we escaped the hustle & bustle of the world. And yet, we were also able to easily make it into Seattle and back each day of our visit -- even twice in a day on one occasion. Also, if you are a fan of Mexican food like we are, we recommend Taqueria La Estacion which is right up the road. This will be the place we'll look to stay on any future Seattle visits.
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Ron was kind and helpful. The property was breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again. We left feeling relaxed and happy with everything we accomplished during our stay.
What a great place to stay! The view of Puget Sound and of the peaks in Olympic National Park were spectacular! A big deck to hang out on was really nice and a great way to get outside without leaving the comfortable living space. Cable TV and all the toys to go along with it couldn't be beat! The little town of Burien had several good restaurants and everything you could need. Seattle was close by with light rail readily accessible. We toured Underground Seattle and that was a blast! A must see after you check out Pioneer Square and Pike Street Market! A big thanks to Ron and Marcella for being friendly and accomodating! Loved seeing the robin nest with the 3 blue eggs!
There are numerous golf courses within a 30 minute drive. We have a set of women's & men's golf clubs in the rental for your use.
