From day 1 when I was inquiring about this property Tammy was amazing! She answered all questions that I had and aptly described this property as being comfortable and nestled in trees on the side of Doe Trail road. We've been to Nederland before driving thru it so we were excited about staying near this "full of personality" town. The A-frame is nestled in the hills above Nederland so you do feel like you are tucked away in the trees. The house had everything we could have possibly needed and we were able to enjoy watching the Olympics and get some work done as reception for TV and internet was pretty stable (we worked and watched tv just a bit of the time, after all we were in Colorado and you are sinning if you are not out under a tree or on a trail somewhere). The beds were comfortable and my girls loved the loft bedroom where the bed is so nicely placed under a large skylight where you can lay and watch the sky. The one thing my girls complained about was the sun rising and waking them up. I just reminded them that they should take the time and appreciate the fact that by waking up early we had that much more time to get out and explore the area. This property was also ideal for walking down to Barker reservoir (pretty easy) and for walking down to Nederland (a bit more of a walk) halfway down the road and then hiking down a trail to the reservoir so that you approach town thru the trail leading up from the reservoir. We passed a playground on this trail and how I wished that my 21 and 20 year old daughters were still 5 and 4 years old when all they needed was a pair of swings. Really an awesome place to spend time with younger kids playing in the park and along the stream that heads down to the reservoir. There is so much to do and that's without even getting into your car!

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The deck is a great place to watch the wildlife and drink coffee. Great location, close to mountains, trails and still within easy driving to Boulder.
I was so comfortable, I doubled the length of my stay. Owner super accommodating. Above the lake in a wooded area. Hiking trail down the road. 5 minutes to town. Owner has stocked it better than most people stock their own homes. This is not your typical vacation house that can be sterile. This is a home and feels like it. Super fast internet if you need to get work done. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Ski: Eldora ski resort is 8 miles from the house. Loveland 30 minutes. Breckenridge area is about 50 minutes.
