Enjoy a stay at our beautiful lakefront cottage; it has the feel of a private cabin in the woods right in the middle of all that is available within the Sugar Springs Resort, including playgrounds, boat launches, tennis & basketball courts, an indoor pool, grass airstrip, as well as the championship golf course and clubhouse with restaurant. Visit the Sugar Springs website to see all that is available.
There is so much to do in any season of the year: fishing, swimming, boating, tubing or water skiing right out the door in the summer, hiking, biking and shopping in the spring and fall, and ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and sledding in the winter.
Lake Lancelot, an all sports lake, provides for many activities, but a 'no wake' time in the morning and evening allows for some quiet time to fish, canoe or simply enjoy the peaceful lake.
The cottage has a large master bedroom on the upper level with a king-size bed, half bath and TV. On the main level, a second bedroom has a queen size bed and a third bedroom has a single bed with a trundle bed that pulls out for another single. There is a partly finished bunk room in the lower level that has two bunk beds to sleep 4 additional. There is also a loft providing additional sleeping space, for two more adventurous guests, that is accessible by ladder.
It is a great place for family vacations, a girls get-a-way, or a guys golf or fishing outing!

Sugar Springs is a great location because it has the feel of 'Up North' while being just a two hour drive. The location allows for a Friday night drive up in time to catch the Friday Night Fish Fry at the Clubhouse restaurant.
My husband's family built the cottage when he was in high school. He loved being up there with friends, boating and water skiing and has been able to instill that love of the water and water sports in our kids as well. They are now the ones out on the water and bringing their friends.
My family of 5 (3 kids--7, 5, 5) stayed for a pre-Christmas get away. We arrived to find a great Northern Michigan cottage-feel in lakeside setting. The cottage is well built and nicely appointed with quality and charm. Everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. There was plenty of room but we still got the cosy feel of a cottage in the woods. The pictures do not do this gem justice!
We stayed at the cottage for a week and Loved it. Used the Lake everyday, and caught enough fish to have a family fish fry.The No Wake hours were great for fishing and just relaxing at the beach. We would recommend this
cottage to family and friends. We would definitely rent it again.Cindy
The house and scenery was amazing, it felt like home away from home.
Loved it, used the lake to ski and fish everyday. Well equipped cabin, would definitely rent again.
We loved the "cottage" which is more of a house and the lake! The swimming was wonderful and the lake very clean and warm. We rented a pontoon boat from the local marina for a day and swam all over the lake and fished with our kids. The cottage was fantastic and very clean! We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back!!
Our family stayed at the house in the middle of July and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The sunsets were beautiful and the lake was so peaceful in the morning. We had a 3 year old girl with us who spent the day playing at the lake and never wanted to leave the water! It had all the amenities you could ask for at a lake house. We would definitely stay here again!
The local marina rents pontoon boats by the day or week: Sugar Springs Marine (989)246-0281.
