We have been coming to Ocean City for many years the last week of the summer ending in Labor Day. This condo was the best place we have ever stayed. The view was unbelievable, the sunrises each morning were breathtaking. The condo was clean and spacious and nicely decorated and laid out. I would defintely recommend this place and hope to rent this condo for our vacation next year and many years to come.
During this time of year one must consider themselves lucky to find a condo on the beach to rent for a few days instead of an entire week. I choose this property amongst the 5 that were available. The condo is beautiful, clean and spacious! The view of the ocean from our balcony is breath-taking! There were 5 adults and 4 children in our group and we all had a comfortable place to sleep at night.
I only had two issues: 1. the water in the shared bathroom never got hot; as a matter of fact, it went from luke warm to chilly pretty quickly. The master bedroom shower did not have that problem. 2. the elevator broke! We were on the 7th. floor!!! I came back w/ groceries and had to walk all the way up stairs w/ numerous bags. In the same breath, it was repaired that day!
Overall, this is a great place at an affordable price to stay with your family or the extended family. You do have to drive quite a few blocks to the boardwalk and main attractions of Ocean City. But, having the beach a few steps away (which does not get too packed:), a pool and a super market a few blocks away is great!
We were very disappointed with the maintenance condition of our rental and left in mid-week. The minor problems were: half of the light bulbs were missing in each room, the door to the bathroom sink cupboard fell off when I opened it, and one of the kitchen cupboards was loose on its hinges. On Wednesday, when I turned the air conditioning on it made a loud clunk and then did not cool the condo although the air was on. The same day when we returned from shopping, a sign was on the door that the washing machine was leaking into the condo below (although it had not been in use) and that the water to that area had been shut off. I called the owner who then promptly sent another plumber to check it. When he was checking the washer, a hose burst and flooded the kitchen and bedroom since he had trouble finding the turn off valve. It took a crew of 5 to wet vac the floor. He also told us the air conditioning unit was "a hundred years old" and it was not in his expertise to fix it. We were told we had to keep 2 large fans blowing on the carpet in the bedroom where my elderly father was sleeping for a couple days. At this point we decided to pack up and leave mid-week with no refund for all this trouble. Who can sleep with fans running on wet smelly carpet without air condiition? Did we just have"bad luck" or was overall poor maintenance the root cause? For the amount per week paid, we excpected much better. The owner was very cordial and helpful when the problems began, but our vacation had already been ruined because of overall poor maintenance that would have taken days to fix.
