It was such an amazing location and the views from the house were just stunning , it was clean and easy to find ... Our dog love running freely on the beach and we even went had I small picnic down on the beach , we will definitely return for another trip thank so much
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. It has the most perfect view and position above Irish Beach. Home is equipped with all needed amenities including a panoramic view from inside the living area and kitchen. We would definitely recommend to friends!
The view is breathtaking and the ever present sound of the crashing waves is so calming. The house is clean and well stocked. Beds are comfortable. The master bedroom and bathroom are wonderful. The bath is a must-bring your bath salts. The fireplace in the center of the living room is perfect for a cozy ocean side evening. The washer and dryer are high quality.
We loved everything about our stay at Irish Beach in April. The house has everything you need and the owners are very helpful .The balcony and views are incredible. Vigorous, lovely walk down to the beautiful, quiet beach. It was a great launching point for ocean view drives and redwood hiking north and south. We drove through beautiful wine country to get there from San Francisco. Just a great time!
Spent a great long weekend here in windy April as 2 couples. The views were amazing (pictures don't do it justice) and the home comfortable and well appointed. The house was cleaner than the average vacation rental. The layout was great for hanging out all together and had plenty of space to spread out and read in solitude. Kitchen had every tool, dish, and appliance you would ever need and a decent supply of condiments, spices, and a few pantry staples. The chowder place at the Point Arena dock was quite good, but I really loved cooking everyone dinner while still being in the middle of the action and looking over the water. The private beach below was gorgeous, empty, and good for tidepooling. Large deck with perfect view and the ability to sit out of the wind. We didn't use the tv, but the stereo was good and easy to work. The main bathroom had a nice loud heater/fan for privacy. The only non-perfect thing was that the 2 small bedrooms were quite small with full beds and a little cramped for couples.
We would absolutely come back.
You walk up to the front door and are surrounded by the fantastic views of the beach and ocean. Then you enter the house and the view is duplicated through all the windows. Cute, comfortable, super dog friendly and having access to Irish Beach was incredible. It was so relaxing sitting on the deck and taking long walks on the beach we saw no reason to seek out any other places except the market in Manchester which was great. All the other reviews are what drew us here and we'll be back.
Warm, friendly setting, features: a home fully equipped for work or play, desk top computer, wi fi, electric piano, books and games. Short walk or car access to beach, surf and rock fishing, whale spotting tide pooling, shell collecting. During winter, the Mendocino Coast is treated to nature's great show of gray whales completing their 10,000-mile trip from Alaska to Baja, Calif. The Beach house, situated on a bluff, offers great view of their ocean route.
Coastal storms are another great show. guests need not be deterred by rain, as the cozy round fireplace, and panoramic views provide a safe and snug viewing hideaway. Spring/Summer features wildflowers, hiking trails and tidepooling. Catch and release trout pond and picnic area are a short walk.
General store is located 3 miles south in Manchester and a small store in Elk to the north. Elk offers a pub and restaurants. The village of Mendocino North and Gualala to the South provide art galleries, fine and casual dining.
