Isle of Palms Condo Rental Photos and Description

$200 off remaining 2016 rates! 3Bed/3Bath sleeps 8 condo

Lovely 3 bedroom, 3 bath Condo on the Isle of Palms. In the heart of the action, yet quiet and uncrowded. This second floor spacious villa has wonderful views of the wide, unhurried beach. In addition to the very large oceanfront pool, the complex has a nice grassy area to play on. Elevator access to ground level. This complex has wide open spaces as compared to the neighboring ones. Our unit is an expanded floor plan with more living space than other 3BR/3B in our complex. Master Suite with King bed, sitting area, TV/DVD/AM/FM/CD Stereo and oceanfront balcony continuous with living room balcony. Master bath with two sinks, garden tub and separate walk-in shower. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. One is equipped with a queen bed and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. We have replaced all beds with brand new fabulous mattresses in September 2016. WE think your sleep is as important as our fabulous oceanfront views and have invested in some wonderful mattresses.. We have a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher, 12 cup coffee maker, blender and ice maker. NOTE: We have remodeled kitchen & baths with tile, granite and cork floors. If you have allergies to carpet and mold, then you will find our condo, without any carpet, a refreshing change. Wicker rockers on porch with seating for 8 on our balconies including a glass top table that seats 4. Luxury high thread count linens are provided in all of our bedrooms/baths.

Please, prior to email about availability & rates, check our online calendar & rate schedules. We keep our calendar up to date. We work very hard to keep our place like a luxury hotel would be and attempt to keep our kitchen well stocked with items like olive oil, spices, balsamic vinegar and other ingredients that you might need for cooking (should you desire to make your own gourmet meals). If not, there are plenty of great gourmet restaurants on the island or in Mt. Pleasant. Nearby, downtown Charleston has many world renowned eateries, most of which you will need reservations for- so don't forget to consult us early in your trip. We have baby/child needs taken care of through Baby's Away and you can even order your groceries ahead and have them placed in the condo refrigerator. We encourage you to rent directly from us, as we are the owners and this is our second home, not simply "another rental for an agency"

There are many plantations to visit and numerous historic sights nearby if you are an antique lover- Charleston is antique paradise. Shopping is available at a full scale mall just over the IOP bridge in Mt. Pleasant and many up scale stores and boutiques are found in that mall or downtown Charleston for your shopping delights. Take a dinner cruise on the harbor or just enjoy sitting on our beach, whatever you desire can be found nearby.

Isle Of Palms is a very residential island, so you do not have to worry about safety like you might on so many of the large scale commercial islands on the coast. We are always fully booked in all seasons, so don't wait to book us because we don't want YOUR week to be gone!

Finally, we are finished with our fall 2016 update. We look forward to hosting you this year at our beach home and can't wait for you to sleep our on new beds. Even the twin beds are euro pillowtop mattresses now. We think the difference in renting from an owner is that we care for our home because we love it, its not simply 'another rental property.' We have enjoyed reading our guest book that we keep in the condo to see everyone building memories with their families and friends. For those of you returning to our place this year, we hope you love what we have done to make it even more comfortable. Don't wait to make your reservation, we hate turning folks away! Isle of Palms is the closest barrier island to Charleston which has just been voted in 2014 as the #2 destination in the world (after Florence, Italy) and #1 destination in the US by Conde Nast magazine's reader's choice awards. We are 20 minutes from Downtown Charleston.

If you email us for a quote, we can give you a better price than what Homeaway will quote you on the auto quote by paying us directly instead of using the online payment system. Homeaway has starting adding a service fee which we will not add if you book directly through us. Why should you pay a middle person when you are booking through an owner? This is our home, not merely an investment and we think you will see the difference.

About Pamela Wright-Etter

This is our second home where we enjoy entertaining friends and family. We think that makes a big difference to our renters because we are not just property managers with a ton of rental property. We provide those little extras since we also live there sometimes.

Pamela Wright-Etter purchased this condo in 2004

Why Pamela Wright-Etter chose Charleston Area

We simply have the best views of the ocean on the island. Our condo sits on 4 acres of oceanfront without the high density of a high rise condo. We looked for 10 years at property before we purchased this unit which we chose for its proximity to the ocean and the fabulous views. If its raining we sit on our balcony watching the tides come and go, listening to the waves- like being right on the beach without the hassle.

Charleston has been consistently named to Conde Nast's Number 1 Destination and has been named the #1 tourist destination in the world. Our condo is 15-20 minutes from Charleston and all of its many attractions. You could become a regular visitor to Charleston and our condo and see something different every time you come for the next 25 years. Come and stay for a week or 2- you won't regret it!

What makes this condo unique

Our villa is our vacation home too and so we take pride in keeping it up to date and work tirelessly on making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy what we think is the best view on the island. Other villas may not have the same finishes on the interior that we have since we are committed to continually updating our place. If you care about your vacation being in a place that is like your own home, we think you will discover that our place is the perfect home away from home.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Pam,

Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us. It was just what we were looking for. We looked at a couple of other buildings we considered on IOP and were happy with our choice.

The hot, sunny weather was perfect for the beach. Nine year old C loved riding the big waves. C, 5, loved the sand and the pool. We often had to pool to ourselves. Though the beach was busy on the weekend, the building never seemed crowded.

We enjoyed the food at the Acme Low Country Restaurant. We had dinner there three times and were always pleased. The chef recognized us as regulars on the third trip and came out to ask us what kept us coming back. You can't get succotash like that in the mid-west.

We didn't discover all the beach gear in the kid's closet until the it was time to go home. Looks like there is some good stuff in there. You should mention it in your property description. Fortunately we had brought beach chairs, sand toys and a boogie board with us.

Your place at IOP has certainly earned our recommendation to friends and family. Daughter-in-law J is already talking about the next trip.

Thank you for the prompt return of our deposit.

Wonderful Vacation Getaway!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in this lovely condo for a week and loved every minute of it. The location is great, the accomodations were wonderful, covered parking on the first level, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The six of us had plenty of room and spent a lot of time relaxing on the large balcony. The view of the beach and ocean was perfect. There are plenty of great restaurants close by (The Boathouse, Salt, Morgan Creek Grill, Long Island Cafe) and the trip into Charleston was only about 20 minutes without traffic. I'd highly recommend this place and location. We'd definitely like to go back.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words. We hope you will return, in fact, we have many folks who return every year and some who claim a specific week "as their own." We feel like they are family and love reading our guest book in the condo. PS- We are the parents of an Aggie '09 alumnus. Gig 'em!

Perfect setting for a Beach Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with two adult children and had a wonderful, comfortable weekend. The view is marvelous, and the condo has everything you need to be "home away from home". We walked easily to restaurants and beach shops. There is an elevator from the parking garage. Perfect location!

Wonderful vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful condo with perfect location. The 6 of us adults never felt cramped with 3 luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely master with very comfortable bed! The kitchen was the most well-stocked one we've ever seen. They generously left staple supplies (salt, paper, sugar, oil, etc) which so few owners do! The rockers on the balcony were the perfect beginning and end of every single day as we watched the ocean waves. It was the perfect temperature for relaxing outside. The condo was clean, with normal oceanside little pests. Pam was extremely prompt, honest, reliable with all her information. My husband visited Ben and Jerry's every night! It does take 20 minutes to get into Charleston. With the traffic, it's better to go through the beautiful area in Mt. Pleasant. The 517 connector road had awful traffic and construction. There were wonderful places to eat near by. Lots of great seafood, of course, and an unexpected wonderful Italian place named Sette Seven. Carriage rides are a must to learn the great history of the downtown Charleston area. Visit the market often. The golf courses up at Wild Dunes were beautiful. If you play after 4:00, the Twilight rate is very reasonable. Patriot's Point is full of history, but the golf course is in terrible condition. We could have spend half at day at either Fort Moultrie or Fort Sumter. SO much history to enjoy! Renting bikes, beach chairs, and an umbrella helped us enjoy the ocean. There were tons of mounds straw-like debris all over all the sand, all the way down to Breach's Inlet and the pier in all directions. We didn't see any of that in the pictures, so I don't know if that's a usual thing or if it was due to recent hurricanes out at sea. Lovely sea shells, but nice soft sand with very gently sloping beach. There were no drop-offs which allowed even little kids to safely venture far out in the water. I would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: We are delighted that your time at our villa was enjoyable and that you will be returning to stay with us again. We have many returning "regular" guests year after year. The debris on the beach were due to storms out at sea which occasionally occur on all coasts. The wonder of the beach at different seasons of the year is something we tell everyone who returns to discover as each season has its own natural beauty. We are constantly working to make everyone's experience one they will want to return to! We look forward to your return and be certain that every year we make improvements based on guest suggestions and our personal pursuit of excellence in service to the guests at staying in our beach villa. We know that there is so much to see and do in and around Charleston as well as just hanging out at the beach that folks will return each year with a fresh itinerary. We encourage you to check out the home tours in the Spring in Charleston (if you love history and architecture), or the Aquarium and the Hunley museum next time you are staying with us. There are fabulous plantations to tour which take all day and are better to tour in the very early Spring or Fall. If you are nature lovers, try the Audobon Swamp gardens at Magnolia Plantation- about 40 minutes from the condo but we spend time there in the winter watching the breeding birds and migratory species- its fabulous! Mt Pleasant is home to Boone Hall Plantation which has year round activities and festivals. See you soon!

A Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a great weekend! The views of the ocean are incredible off the spacious terrace and the location perfect for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. We appreciated the secure, covered parking deck as parking is at a premium. We really enjoyed the openess of the space: the beds were confortable and clean. There are new appliances (washer and dryer) and everything else was in excellent shape and working - no surprises!.

The owners took great care to ensure that our every need was addressed. Given it was our first time visiting Isle of Palms we now know it is a place we want to come back.

We visited the Red Drum, a local gastro pub, for a late dinner that proved to be one of the best meals we've ever had and we were surprised at the resasonable pricing. We've traveled the world and eaten at some of the finest restaurants and this evening compared with the very best. This is a must if you can get a reservation. Call ahead. It will be worth the effort.

Overall, we hope to return soon and will definitely look to stay at this condo the next time we visit.Thank you owners for the much appreciated peace and quiet and peace of mind. You helped us regain some perspective by accounting for all the little things that are important to us when we go away.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments. We hope to have you return for many more relaxing weeks! It is our goal to tend to the little things so your experience is rejuvenating and you will want to come back to build more happy memories. We are constantly updating and attending to our guest's suggestions. Like, you we have traveled the world and so we are fussy about accomodations and food since we have stayed at some great places. It is our wish to bring that knowledge and experience to our own guests. We love to hear about everyone's adventures while they are staying on the island with us. If you think winter on the island is wonderful, come and stay with us in our other great seasons- always something new to see and do!

Found this wonderful condo on-line.

This was one of the best vacations we ever had.Condo is awesome and so roomy!! IOP is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your family.Made three trips to the Sea Bisquit for breakfast-could eat there every morning if possible."Boathouse" was wonderful.Magnolias in Charleston was excellent-highly recomend."Bubba" the local parrot in the store across the street prevented several "meltdowns" from our 2yr old. Enjoy your time here-it goes by far too fast.

See you all next year if God is willing!

Owner's Response: Thanks, you are always welcome to come back and "join the family" of folks who spend their summer family vacations with us. We are always trying to make the experience better- just added a new washer and dryer this weekend to cut down on number of loads! Our family generates so much laundry at the beach that I decided it was time for the new high capacity ones. Thanks also for sharing the restaurant suggestions, it helps our guests decide from all of the many choices of great food on the island and in Charleston.

Stunning Views

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were blessed with an awesome weekend watching dolphins from the deck of the condo. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The condo was clean, fresh and tastefully decorated. The owners made sure everything was in order before we came. We will definately stay here again.

Notes:
The Kitchen is equipped with everything imaginable for cook with including blender, etc. We even have a crab pot for those who are inclined to cook their own. We leave spices in the villa when we are there. We also try to have olive oil and some other basic staples so you don't have to buy large quantities of something you might use once during your vacation. We have some beach toys and boogie boards in our villa though we do not guarantee their condition at the end of the season! We replace and replenish often. Our goal is for you to leave our place and want to return. We try to think of everything you will need to have a great vacation and time of rest, relaxation and renewal.
