Washington DC Condo Rental Photos and Description

Sophisticated, Asian-Inspired 1 BR 1 BA sleeps 4

Here's what guests have to say about Chez Aimee:

“Chez Aimee was a fantastic place to stay. The location is superb. My wife was in D.C. on business and I spent the days sight-seeing. The metro is close, making the entire city easily accessible, and the neighborhood dining is world-class. I'll never stay or recommend anywhere else in the DC area. Chez Aimee was perfect!' - Jacob, Bloomington, Indiana.

'Yours is simply the most tastefully and lovingly and exquisitely furnished and romantic condo we have ever experienced. The personal attention that you gave us was unique in our experience, and we have stayed in quite a number of B&Bs over the years. Look for us again next year, we are firmly planning on it!' - Claudia Berg, Altdorf, Germany.

Here's what we have to say: Let us help make your Washington, DC experience the best ever.

2 Minute walk to dining and shopping!: Situated in one of the most vibrant quarters of the city, Chez Aimée offers the best of all worlds: walk out the door of your one-bedroom flat in an historic house on a quiet tree-lined street, and you are just one block from all the restaurants, cafes, culture and nightlife of the Adams Morgan neighborhood.

15 Minute ride to Anywhere!: An 8-minute metro ride gets you downtown, where you may either walk to the Mall (museums, monuments, etc.) or change trains. If you change trains, it's another 5 minute ride to the Smithsonian metro station.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I am honored to have such a lovely spot to be in while in Washington on business! I thank Amy for sharing this beautiful roost! It's amazing how the universe provides us with just the right thing when we allow it. After too many suite hotel rooms (18 years worth of trips) I opened up to lodging outside the mainstream and found the ideal spot that shares my sensibilities for art, literature, and music. Amy, I hope you will come to my Colorado mountain magic place, "Across the River Retreat" to let me return your gracious hospitality! Namaste! - Mary D

Relaxing Retreat for a Busy Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Chez Aimee was the perfect place to stay for our family trip to DC. We are a family of 4 (kids age 12 & 14) and were able to tour the sights all day and sleep well every night of our 4 day stay. When we made meals in the condo, we found all the spices and condiments we needed. We also ate out several nights as there are many interesting restaurants local to the condo that were easily within walking distance.

Amy and Jeff are great hosts, quickly answering any emails and providing an amazing "guide" of how easiest to tour DC from their location (We found the #42 bus to be our best option - you catch it 1-2 blocks from the condo and it drops you 1 block from the White House for $1.75! I never would've tried that without Amy's suggestion)

We highly recommend (and have already recommended to several of our friends!)!

The perfect vacation stay over the long Memorial Weekend of 2016

  • 5 of 5

First off, let me say that I flew into Baltimore and arrived in DC around 11am...I immediately texted Jeffrey asking permission to enter the home just to put away our needed refrigerated groceries...not only was he accommodating with us in doing this and placing our luggage in the condo as well, but offered suggestions on the parking options, along with no hesitation in contacting him back for anything else we may encounter or need....

The condo was more than we had even expected and it had everything from a complete kitchen with coffee to spices to condiments to various food items from the previous guest (still fresh) at our disposal, along with a very thoughtful bottle of wine, which we sure did enjoy!!

OMG!! the bed was awesome...I usually don't sleep completely at ease in any other bed than my own, but this one was heavenly and quite comfy...the pictures and all the amenities that Jeffrey and Amy portray for this home are spot on. We couldn't have had a more pleasurable place to come back to after each long day of sightseeing... how restful and relaxing this vacation was and I'd recommend Chez Aimee to anyone visiting Washington DC and would not hesitate to make any future reservations...

Outside of the numerous extras that this condo offered just as the advertisement says, the condo had the perfect location to great restaurants, a small walking distance to the Metro Train, a beautiful and high end neighborhood and the parking lot we stayed at was only a couple of blocks away.

Some important items to mention:

1. definitely park in a hourly or as we did, daily (with in/out option) as we did...upon our arrival day, after unloading all our things, we immediately found a parking lot (about 2 blocks away) and kept our vehicle their the entire stay...the best piece of advice given.

2. the neighbors were very friendly, so don't hesitate to talk and ask questions...we got some of the best help from them.

3. the restaurants on the same street as the Metro Train station were fantastic..we frequented a different one every evening.

4. the professionalism that Jeffrey and Amy exhibit was extraordinary. some the most exquisite 5 star resorts/hotels/spas I've stayed at didn't compare in customer service as this one.

5. most importantly...............WEAR THE BEST WALKING SHOES YOU HAVE!!! YOU'LL NEED THEM.

I only wish that Jeffrey and Amy had more homes to rent like this one in various other cities. Truly a gem and thank you

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Although we did not spend much time in the condo since we were in DC on vacation, it was a perfect location. The bus was easily accessible and made the transportation easy!

The condo was clean, beautiful and we are so glad we chose to stay there!

Great little Charm in convenient location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 6 nights at Chez Aimee for a "Cherry blossom" DC vacation trip my husband and I had booked well in advance. The stay did not disappoint, from the "welcoming Cherry Blossom tree" right in front of the location and view out the living room window. The booking process was easy, as well as engaging with the owners for good instructions. The condo itself was perfect for the two of us; clean, comfortable, charming and well stocked with everything; even W/D and laundry detergent which we found super convenient allowing us to pack light. The bathroom shower had nice hot water and good pressure and the white towels supper fluffy and good quality. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to keep window slightly open for fresh air while keeping warm under the nice fluffy covers. We used the metro from and to Ronald Reagan airport (Woodley Park/Zoo) which is about 15 minute easy walk, and use metro all the time to tour all over DC. Adams Morgan itself has many restaurants, cafes, night life, so it was easy to start morning with a quick breakfast nearby and ending it with dinner or drinks walking distance to "home". Please note as all vibrant neighborhoods that change constantly, not all recommendations found in Chez Aimee guide are current (eg: the Orleans cafe is closed and the burger/fries recommendation at nearby "Angles bar" may have changed) yet there are new cafes like Cuban Rumba with great Mojitos and ambiance, and many other you'll find everywhere to taste something different every day! In downtown DC try one of the famous Jose Andres restaurants (like Jaleo, Oyamel, China Chicano..) with great happy hour and excellent drinks, taps, and food). We had excellent tapas and lunch at Fish market in Old Town Alexandria, famous Clydes in Georgetown, and so many others! We lucked out Cherry Blossom festival truly full with blossoms Tidal Basin all over with great pics to capture the best moments, did so much walking everyday our legs and feet hurt intensively at the end of the day, and it was nice to come back to Chez Aimee to finish our day and feel fully rested to start all over the next day! Thanks Amy and Jeffrey for a great experience!
