Years ago, when we discovered this home, it was sand-covered and neglected, but the location was priceless. Today it is a refreshing, comfortable treasure surrounded by water on three sides, with a deck opening directly onto the beach and breath-taking sunset views.
Your stay at this bright, colorful oceanfront home offers opportunities to enjoy sea breeze respites on the porch, deck or beach.
Or you can try your luck surf fishing at ocean’s edge or flounder gigging in the channel, “the honey pot” as the locals call it. Bear Island is just across the inlet and there is abundant sand for castle-building and sunning. The beach is just short of feeling completely private.
The house itself boasts lively, inspiring décor that invites gatherings in the family room, breakfast room and kitchen. In the colder months, with the fireplace ablaze, the space is intimate and cozy. The kitchen is comfortable, current and well equipped. For those who find relaxation in the latest movie offerings or sports events, the large flat screen television is at the ready. Each bedroom also has a television to accommodate differences of opinion. Both the master and guest bedroom overlook the water.
In the event that you find yourself in need of getting away from all this, a short car ride away, you’ll find a plethora of things to do. There is shopping in Swansboro, and Morehead City, fine dining and art in Beaufort, antique hunting in New Bern and Jacksonville for all the rest.
We hope that you will consider treating yourself to a stay at this easy, relaxing oceanfront jewel.

My wife and I have been renting homes on the outer banks for over 20 years. We absolutely love the Crystal Coast. This home has undeniable charm and all the conveniences one would expect of a home. The sun rises and sunset from this home were outstanding. Our walks on the beach and beautiful sand dunes just added to the charm of this home. If your looking for a great get away, I highly recommend this home. We will definitely be back!
I've been vacationing in Emerald Isle for over 30 years, but I'd never once spent time on "The Point" until this vacation. What a unique experience! Although The Point seems to be a popular part of the island, especially during fall fishing season, we had such a quiet, peaceful week. The cottage was quaint, comfortable, and well-maintained, and we enjoyed the expansive views. The rooms were more spacious than I expected, the towels and linens were high-quality, and there was plenty of storage space for clothes, toys, etc. We enjoyed fishing in the sound, napping on the peaceful deck (in quality porch furniture, I might add), and being able to walk to the beach on either the ocean or channel side - thanks for the use of the "beach wagon" to haul our stuff. : ) Our only disappointment was that the beach was much different than in the pictures, and there was no non-dune sand for our little guy to play in directly in front of the house. On the flip side, we acknowledge that the owners have no control over how Mother Nature changes a location like that, and there was certainly plenty of sand a short walk away. And speaking of Mother Nature, Hurricane Matthew delayed our arrival by one day, but the owner was so wonderful about communicating with us in the days leading up to our scheduled vacation. Beyond that, she was also generous enough to allow us to stay in the cottage an extra day/night to make up for the one we lost because of Matthew, which was so kind and much appreciated!! We would definitely recommend this home and location to a friend.
The house was perfect for our needs. The views were amazing and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck or even just sitting in the nice AC in the heat of the day looking at the water. I went for long walks each day, and brought home two shells, that still had an occupant (oops- hermit crabs). We really never left the house/beach except to grocery shop and a few dinners out. I had planned to spend the next few years visiting and exploring the beaches along the east coast but now I am thinking I want to go back next year and do it all over again! It was one of the few vacations that neither my husband or I was ready to go back home. We could have stayed for another week easily! The house was spotless and we had everything we needed (but we were looking for a steam pot- made due with a colander though) I wish the area had more restaurant choices close by but we had fun cooking in when we couldn't find what we wanted to eat nearby.
This home is located in an absolute perfect location. Walk out onto the deck and view the ocean and the point on the other. Quiet and relaxing. The house is beautiful, nice big kitchen and living area and bedrooms are large. Very convenient to grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommended for a vacation stay!
This is a fantastic beach cottage with amenities for your every need. Great decor, cozy and charming. Lots of things to do nearby. You'll find more seashells than you can carry and sunsets that will blow you away. We had a great time and hope to return again soon.
I am a repeat customer to this lovely beach house and I would never stay anywhere else in Emerald Isle. It's nestled right on the beach allowing you to basically have a private beach for you and your family/friends. Restaurants, bars, etc. are located within miles of the house allowing it to be a very cheap cab drive. The house itself is decorated beautifully and has every amenity you could ask for. Needless to say we will continue staying at this amazing house.
