In the second story of our home we have two bedrooms, a full bath, kitchen and living room with a private entrance. Perfect for families or a couple of couples. Enjoy Mount Marathon through your window or a quick walk gets you to the trail head, afterward take in the beautiful bay view and relax in the comfortable living room.
A five minute walk to downtown shops, restaurants and the Alaska SeaLife Center. A beautiful one mile stroll along the waterfront gets you to the small boat harbor where more shops and restaurants are located. There you will also find wildlife/glacier cruises and tours, fishing charters. Seward offers many adventures like dog sledding on Godwin Glaciers, kayaking near glaciers as well as sailing.
It is just over a mile to the train station and cruise ship terminal.
In one bedroom we have a queen sized bed and in the other a king bed that can be converted into two twin beds. We also have a roll-a-way that can be set up in the living room.

We are recently married and met in 2005 in the great town of Seward. We love travel, adventure and of course Alaska.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
After spending many summers here and struggling to find a place to rent we decided to invest. Seward is filled with good people & fun things to do. And we love being able to walk most places in this small town.
We are here and happy to help you plan your vacation, answer questions and share what we know about the area.
We really enjoyed our stay, and the artistic touches throughout the place were a pleasant surprise - the listing photos don't quite do justice to the quality of the space. Even with really rainy weather we could still enjoy the amazing views. It was actually great to have a place where you could sit inside when it was raining and still look out at the beautiful scenery, rather than feeling like you were just losing your vacation by hiding inside somewhere. Even the shower has probably the best view of any shower in Seward - Mt. Marathon! The owner quickly and pleasantly introduced himself once we pulled into the driveway. The space is great, and location is perfect - we walked downtown for coffee and bagels at the Resurrection Art coffee shop in the morning and for dinner at the Cookery in the evening. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the overall layout with the open kitchen/living space works well for a social traveling group. However, the bedrooms are immediately off the living room, so it might not work well for a group that has some people who want to go to bed early and some who don't. I'm not sure it was clear in the posting that there isn't exactly a normal dining table - dining seating is just at the kitchen bar - but this wasn't an issue for us. The kitchen was better equipped than the rental we had been in the night before in Anchorage. It took us a bit to find the laundry detergent tucked away downstairs, but we did eventually find it before we had to ask the owners. Overall we didn't have a single complaint and really enjoyed our stay. Our one request or recommendation to the owners would be to invest in heavier-duty bar stools for the dining space, as we had to keep a close eye on our 11 month old to ensure he didn't grab the leg of one and tip it over on his head.
Super clean, roomy, and perfectly located. We would stay here again with no hesitation. The owners were very nice and responsive. Thank-you! We had a blast!
P.S. The pictures posted don't do this place justice, it is awesome.
This was a very nice and clean vacation home. It has two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen which had everything I needed, so it saved me money because I didn't need to go out and eat. The washer and dryer was very convenience since Seward constantly raining, I was able to wash and dry my clothes before I continued my trip. Although I didn't get to meet the owner(s), I felt that they are very nice people because they provided everything I needed at the house, so I didn't need to bother them. I highly recommend this place for families.
We stayed at this VRBO for three nights and it was wonderful. Pretty views, very clean and comfortable. Nice size space too. We did not interact with the owners in person, however, it was not necessary. Check in was very easy, and we had everything we needed. Great location too. Would recommend staying here for sure!
We had a wonderful stay in Seward. Vanessa and Devin are very accommodating and had the place ready early for us to check-in. It's a very clean place, comfortable beds, and convenient location. And the view is spectacular. If we're able to visit again, I will definitely be booking with them again!!
