Local Amenities
There is a superb large Super Valu supermarket located at the Fr Griffin Road end of The Crescent; a most useful petrol/gas station at the other end of The Crescent, and a delightful church and gourmet shop just at the end of Sea Road. At this point, you are already at the Restaurants & traditional Irish pubs quarters - you are almost spoiled for choice! Browsing & shopping in town is a lovely treat, plus wonderful day trips to Connemara & the Burren, and by evening time join the sociable world of Sea Road/William Street West and the two Dominick Streets, and then to Quay Street & the Latin Quarter - a mere stroll over Wolfe Tone Bridge.
Galway is busy and buzzing with its people, university population, many visitors, shops, cafes, festivals, sociable activities & events, and a wonderful artistic, theatre and music-making tradition. There are beautiful small strolls along the pretty town canals, many cool town churches to discover and pop into for a peaceful interlude, in particular to look over Galway's medieval history in the collegiate church of St Nicholas's where there are many medieval artefacts and inscriptions on the flagstones to decipher and absorb.
Galway is the origin of the beautiful Claddagh Ring, and there are a variety of competing stories on its design-origin to enjoy as you visit key jewellery stores around town.
And last but not least are fabulous walks, runs or cycles to Salthill & Blackrock, where there is 8 kilometres of promenades & shoreline walks to enjoy throughout the day - joining thousands of Galwegians also catching up on their daily constitutional, or a leisurely swim in Galway Bay on a warm summer's day!
All of this is just 5+ minutes from the Coach House on The Crescent, and these things are all yours to absorb and enjoy in this lovely, stylish small Residence, everything adding hope to a '10-star' experience for your time in Ireland. The Coach House is delightfully quiet and private - being the only residential unit on this private laneway. With private parking for guests located just across in our car park at the Main House.

About Cathy Morgan, Your Time in Ireland SR
Dear Guests, myself and my family returned to Ireland in recent years having lived overseas for many years. We enjoyed many worldwide trips & travels over those years, and experienced firsthand the pro’s & con’s of hotels versus short stay apartments. Hotels can be great, but! we realised, how much we better enjoyed ourselves when we felt thoroughly ‘At Home’ on these travels. Putting all of this into good practice in our beautiful Galway & Dublin short-rental options, we are extremely conscious of always offering this pleasure to the weary traveller – a seriously welcoming home-from-home environment - for 3 nights only or 3+ leisurely weeks! Working hard on the things that count – including fresh, luxurious bed linens & duvets and beds fully made up, fridge freshly stocked with Useful Food Items, and our useful local guides - you can so quickly settle in and get going with the many wonderful activities, explorations and small adventures awaiting you on a visit to Ireland, including lively engagement with everyone you meet on your tips and tours...

Why Cathy Morgan, Your Time in Ireland SR chose Salthill
Our deluxe short stay options are just 2 to 3 minutes away from the liveliest quarters of Town – and yet so peaceful and quiet for a great night’s sleep. The wider city is alive with visitors, restaurants, cafe-bars and many very unique & special traditional Irish pubs and live music - you will have made an excellent choice by staying with us on The Crescent. Galway is a great town! - the capital city of Connacht is a bustling and superbly lively university city that sits at the end of Lough Corrib - Lake & River - as it wends its way to the Atlantic Ocean. Long a wonderful and busy merchant town with a serious maritime tradition and backdrop, Galway’s trading history can be seen in town canals, water breaks & salmon weirs, pier heads, and sea-side promenades and walkways, plus rich ancient woodlands that survive in precious pockets around the town. Our location on The Crescent is part of this older world of Galway going back to the early 1830’s - when trains ran to Clifden, and a tramline ran from Eyre Square via The Crescent and out to the seaside promenades of Salthill. Our apartments are located in an elegant tall period house there of some 180 years standing, and we do everything we can to maintain the ambience of this lovely old period house accompanied by many beautiful and contemporary features of today.
