This beautiful, modern vacation rental cabin with amenities like a hot tub offers the perfect location for winter and summer as it is a short walk to the Sandy River trails and a 15-20 minute drive to the ski resorts of Mt Hood.
The home is set on a double lot which gives you plenty of space and privacy without being too far from the conveniences of the shops and restaurants in Rhododendron and Welches.
As you enter the home you are greeted with an inviting living room with beautiful hardwood floors and a gas stove that keeps you nice and toasty! There is a sofa that converts to a full-size bed so it is a great sleeping option for a couple or for kids.
The kitchen is thoughtfully finished with granite counter tops and a slate tile floor. It is fully stocked and offers a couple of nice extras including an espresso machine and an electric griddle. The dining table between the kitchen and the living room seats four and expands to six, so it is easily adaptable to suit your needs.
The master loft features a sitting area with a picture window looking out into the cedars and vine maples. If you open the window, you hear the nearby Zigzag River. The knotty pine ceilings, recessed lighting and ceiling fans make it a comfortable setting for rest and relaxation. The queen pillow-top bed has a down comforter, and the sofa/lounger folds down into a full-size bed. There is also a flatscreen TV and a DVD player that is great for winding down after the day's adventures on the mountain.
The second bedroom is downstairs and features a queen pillow top bed with a down comforter. The full bathroom is also downstairs.
This unique vacation rental offers loads of amenities to make it the perfect home away from home including a wireless Internet connection, a large deck off the back of the house, a private hot tub and a firepit in the backyard.
There are plenty of activities surrounding the house for kids and adults of all ages. You can check out Mt Hood Coffee Roasters and watch them roast a fresh batch of beans or you can tackle the slopes at Ski Bowl, Mt Hood Meadows or Timberline. The summer activities include hiking along the Sandy River or taking some excellent photos with Mt Hood views on a walk along Mirror Lake.
Bring the family for a rustic setting and all the comforts of home in this stylish vacation rental!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Recently remodeled kitchen and loft were nice and in good taste. Owners were very pleasant to work with. Surroundings are peaceful and serene.
This was such a great getaway for myself, my husband, and our two dogs. The house was very neat and tidy, and the new renovations showed. The fire pit was excellent as well as the hot tub which was great when the weather cooled down. Both dogs enjoyed sitting outside bird watching. The bed upstairs was very comfy, and we both slept great! There was a gas fireplace that kept the place nice and toasty. They even had a bag of ice ready for us in the fridge! Dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, the whole nine yards! Awesome! If you forgot any groceries or firewood, no worries, Thriftway is literally 3 minutes up the road! Only drawback: We were a little surprised as to how close to the surrounding houses we were. The ad mentions sharing a lot with another house (totally cute tiny house which nobody was home all weekend), but we didn't realize that you are essentially in a neighborhood. Luckily, with the foliage around it doesn't feel like a neighborhood and is still very peaceful (although you can see other houses). However, we did hear a lot of noise from the neighbors across the way and their dogs barking about 6 AM on a Saturday, until pretty late in the evening, kind of a bummer and took away from the peaceful element. All in all, though, we got what we were seeking, which was tranquility and a nice weekend away! Highly recommend, as we would one day like to come back. Just keep in mind, this in not a cabin in the woods. This is a house in a very wooded neighborhood on a gravel road. Somewhere we hope to one day live! Thanks guys! :)
Great location. Cozy and comfortable home. Had the bare essentials, minus the coffee grinder we were expecting. Would stay here again.
Cozy and comfortable home, with a great backyard and patio. Simple with all the amenities you would need, minus a coffee grinder. Overall, a really lovely place to stay. Also, a great location!
My wife and I recently stayed at the Mt. Hood cabin for five days and four amazing nights. The cabin is very quiet and relaxing. The window in the loft area made it seem as if you were sitting in the trees; We spent many hours just sipping coffee and gazing into the woods. We loved exploring the neighborhood, and the small trail system at the bank of the Zigzag River. This cute cabin offered all we needed for a very comfortable stay. If you are looking for a great time in the woods near Mt Hood, give this little cabin a try. We plan to book them again for our next visit!
I came here hoping to relax and get through some personal stuff. This place with is quiet spot and relaxing walks to the river, helped to heal me. You'll never forget your stay here.
The place was nice overall, but when we arrived there were a few issues. The reason I give full stars is that, after we called, a gentleman named Andrew came over and fully cleaned the hot tub and helped us manage an issue with the oven. He went above and beyond our expectations. The people on the phone were also very pleasant to explain our issues to.
