As one of our guests you can enjoy the Royalty Experience that only the newly appointed Dynasty Lofts has to offer. There are three completely different spaces to enjoy at this property depending on what you want your travel experience to be. This loft suite is approximately 1250 square feet of the best amenities available while being located seconds walk from the worlds famous Gaslamp Quarter, moments walk to the San Diego Convention Center, the Ralphs Grocery Store, Horton Plaza Shopping Center or the new Padres Baseball Stadium. The unit is a two bedroom two bathroom suite that can sleep up to 6+ people. Each bedroom one bathroom units both with their own private entrances. The space has a stylish modern N.Y. feel with hardwood floors; diamond plate accents one queen bed, one full size bed, and two sleeper type sofas. I consider this one of the best space for a gathering of great friends or work colleagues coming to enjoy everything that San Diego Downtown has to offer. The unit sits at street level in a semi-residential neighborhood which makes it the greatest view of beautiful people, walking to the nightlife of the Gaslamp. It is note worthy that each of the large glass windows (seen in the pictures and virtual tour) have blinds that allow you to see out during the day but prevent people passing by from seeing in. In addition, there are drapes that can be pulled over the blinds to block out the light and add additional privacy. The commercial style front doors are frosted with sheers in front of the doors. A few of the amenities includes: forced heating and air conditioning, 42” Plasma TV, free wired internet. We encourage you to “Go Green” and take one of our provided bicycles to The Children’s Museum, Sea Port Village, The Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, The San Diego Bay, or the USS Midway. If your stay includes Sunday feel free to enjoy the stroll through the Farmers Market that is just around the corner on 3rd and Island. Rates subject to change without notice.

In my opinion, all the spaces at this property are all different and all offer something different. On a scale of 1-10, the unit is an 8+. However, the location on a scale of 1-10 the location is an 11+.
We had a great stay! This property is unique, as it was previously a dry cleaners. It is in a great location, in the downtown/Gaslamp Quarter. We walked to the USS Midway, Seaport Village, Coronado Ferry, Horton Plaza. Not to mention, all the great restaurants. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner(s) were attentive and responded to our emails/texts in a timely fashion. We would definitely consider this property again.
We had a wonderful time at the Prato. It was close to everything and we were able to walk to most places. Ira sent us ideas for places to eat, shop and to overall just have a great time. It was clean and quaint. There were a couple of things in disrepair but it didn't stop us from having a great time. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be close in. We met our son there and he was able to bring his dog. Great place!
The beds were small with wooden corners which we were always hitting with our feet and shins. The AC was not working correctly and the thermostat was in a lock box and we were unable to adjust it. It was hot everyday and we were sweating every night. The windows were unable to open and let the cool San Diego night time air in. This is a converted Dry Cleaners property. The dresser in one bedroom had broken bottoms in the drawers and we had to live out of our suitcases. This dresser should be thrown away. I can't believe they haven't discarded it. The bathrooms were remolded with nice tile but the outlets in one bathroom did not work and we had to use another outlet in the bedroom to use the blow dryer. Good thing I brought an extension cord. These are minor things that should be fixed. We would stay here again just because of the location.
My friends and I rented this condo for a girls trip. It is in an awesome location! Near the gaslamp walking distance to Petco Park right near the freeway if you want to go to the beach it's great! The front door is a little bit sketchy and we did run out of toiletries but other than those minor things our stay was awesome. Ira was super accommodating and even let us check in early.
Excellent location can not ask for more. Blocks from everything, gas lamp , marina, Petco field restaurants and tourist area. This is a old cleaner converted into a two bed room apt.
Downside is you have to go through one bed room to get to the other. No way around it. Beds were old and difficult to sleep on. Again location is great but ammenities need to be upgraded. You get what you pay for.
This funky apt is in a great location for getting around the city. I will give credit to Ira, the owner, in that he responded to my problems in the unit as best he could and right away. Meze Restaurant which Ira recommended was delicious.
However, the place needs a little sprucing up. It's worn in places and could use a paint job. The pictures make it look much nicer than it really is. The Windows cannot be opened at all and there is a ceiling fan in only one bedroom. The thermostat cannot be controlled by the occupant and seems to have a mind of its own. The Internet connection has a lot to be desired. It's very slow as we had to get our wireless connection from the Cat place next door.
