This Snowater Condo is the closest accommodations to Mt. Baker Ski Area. The condo is tucked away in the Mt Baker National Forest, on the shores of the Nooksack River. New hardwood floors in the living room, which is decorated in my own personal local photography. The one bedroom condo features a double bed, that can easily sleep two, and two pull out beds in the living room. You can comfortably sleep 4 people in the condo. The condo is also equipped with a 32' flat screen, Iphone dock, and DVD player. There are plenty of activities to and facilities to entertain the whole family. Tennis, racquetball, basketball(indoor and out), indoor swimming pool, with hot tub, hiking trails, and of course world class skiing in the winter, and amazing hiking and sightseeing in the summer.

I am a professional snowboard photographer that has lived in the Whatcom county area since '96. I gravitated towards Baker because of its reputation of deep snow, and small lift lines.... over the years it's still the same, minus the small lift lines on the weekends, but that's what happens when things become popular. I purchased the condo in hopes of living in Glacier someday, but my business thrives off of being connected and communicating at all times. That being said, this is why I love Glacier so much, because you can disconnect from the outside world, and just relax. I hope you enjoy my condo as much as I have, and pray for deep snow!

Snowater is a comforting, relaxing place to be. You can try out some of the local restaurants, and there is a new pizza joint within walking distance. If you are a homebody, I have the place outfitted with everything you need to cook a great meal. Curl up on the sofa and watch a movie, or take a dip in the indoor pool. There are endless things to do at Snowater, but what you should be doing is going up to the best mountain in the world, and take the scenery while making deep powder turns!
A bit dated but it had everything we needed and was just what we were looking for as a launching grounds to hit the trails around Mt. Baker.
We enjoyed our one night stay at Mike's condo and everything was as advertised. Mike communicated with us well and the check in and check out instructions were very clear. Although we did not make use of the club house there is a nice looking pool and indoor hot tub. There are great trails for hiking right from the condo and we enjoyed the Horseshoe Bend trail right along the river on the other side of the highway. We also drove up to Artist's Point by the ski area for a fantastic day hike on Ptarmigan Ridge. The only suggestion I have for Mike is to have a bit more cookware, in particular some larger bowls for salad and serving. My husband didn't think the bed was particularly comfortable, but I was fine with it. Other than that, we thought the place was a good value and comfortable.
The bathroom sink drains very slowly. There is a window cover missing in the living room, not allowing private time. The back deck has no table or chairs, we could not use it. Bed is too small and too hard. we did not sleep well both nights. We will not stay again or recommend to anyone.
Condo was acceptable. I slept in the living room with door open to the river, as the weather was really hot. For me, personally, this was really basic. But fit my needs perfectly. Could have used a table lamp in the living room. Loved the snowboarders pictures. Hard to imagine it with temp in the high 80's. Space was very clean. How about some softer towels?
We thought the condo was fine. Location is good. I would rent this unit again, and in fact we are already making plans for an autumn trip to this area and would use this unit again.
Opportunities for improvement are: there could be more drinking glasses and wine glasses provided. The TV did not pick up a signal. That may or may not have been part of the service provided, but we didn't know and spent some time trying to figure it out. Lastly, the check out procedures were not provided. We went down to the office to return the key and were told to go back and put it in the lockbox. As I said before these were fairly minor so we'll probably rent this unit again in the future.
The owner of this condo was very accommodating as our trip was originally scheduled in February and I injured my knee and we needed to reschedule. The place is old, furniture and appliances were old, but for the money the condo was great. Easy access to Artist Point, Mt. Baker, we did a 9 mile hike Saturday and the river walk was great. Our dog really enjoyed the trails in the area. Only complaint is that there was no WI-Fi in unit--my husband really missed. We would rent again!
