About The Owner

We have been coming to Lake Texoma for a number of years as 'weekenders'. Now that we are semi-retired, we decided to move to the area full time. We enjoy golf, fishing and a plethora of friends. Being within an hour or so of DFW we can travel yet live the country life here.

The Owner purchased this house in 1990

Why The Owner chose Lake Texoma

This 2-story modified A frame is approximately 1200 square feet with plenty of parking space and privacy. You can enjoy the lake all day and come back to refresh and relax in air conditioned comfort. In the winter months, you can enjoy a relaxing weekend with a wood burning fireplace and take in all of the surrounding activities. You can feel free to bring your pets. You will love the lake country life style and the world class fishing and boating. We built our retirement house just down the street so our original beautiful lake house is available to you. 'Come play, come stay' is the motto of Pottsboro.

What makes this house unique

This property is a year-round vacation spot, within walking distance of the lake. We are 5 minutes from Tanglewood Resort and some of the best dining in Texas. There are several challenging golf courses very close by and Highport Marina is a 5 minute drive as well. The property is located right in the middle of Lake Texoma and right in the middle of the islands. Our neighborhood deep water launch only costs $5.00 per day and has ample parking for cars and trailers with a launch area dock to load and unload passengers. It is truly one of the most convenient and desired rentals available.

Relaxing get away in a quiet cul de sac

  • 5 of 5

My family was looking for a weekend getaway at Lake Texoma, and we hit a home run. The accommodations were impeccable for two adults and our grown children (21, 25). We enjoyed fishing at Lake Texoma and evenings sipping wine and playing board games from our childhood supplied by the host. Although we did not take advantage, there was also a selection of 20-30 DVD's, classics and current big name titles. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind response. We are so glad you had a great time and took advantage of the simple and relaxed atmosphere. The house was originally our weekend get-away. We have many fond memories of family and friends visiting and it is is one of many reasons we built a house down the street, retired and now live here full time. We look forward to having you back!

Beautiful home, stunning location, wonderful homeowners

  • 5 of 5

When we first arrived on the property we were all stunned at how beautiful it was. Lush greenery, and a magnificent home awaited us for the weekend. More than enough space for our two cars to make a turn around at the end of that street! We met Bruce and Ann over the weekend, and both are very sweet, and lovely individuals.

When we entered the home, we were greeted with beautiful vaulted ceilings, lovely furnishings, and overall a very inviting home. All rooms, including the breathtaking loft, were fully furnished, and very comfortable. The two decks that the home had were alluring, and you could see the lake from the top deck.

There were five of us, also including my miniature Australian shepherd, and there was enough space for us all. Pet rules were more than acceptable, and Bruce even made the effort to befriend Gemini, and definitely won her stomach and need to play with tennis balls over! (Thank you so much again!) I felt so much better about bringing her along for her first lake trip.

The home is minutes away from a small marina, and a small drive from many parks on the lake. A Walmart isn't too far if you forget last minute things off US-75.

Overall, we would love to come back! Bruce and Ann have such a marvelous home, and we all concur when I say we appreciate such an alluring home away from it all. We got to relax, fish, and enjoy two birthdays this weekend, and this will forever be a wonderful memory for us.

Very secluded at the end of a cul de sac.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this secluded private residence. Very quiet evenings and a nice deck to read a book or nap on. House has everything we needed and comfortable beds and baths. Will definitely consider a return especially if we can time the best Striped Bass fishing!

Great place! My wife and I were looking for a relaxing place to getaway for the weekend and this was perfect. Wooded lot with views of the lake from the two balconies and from inside the house. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We look forward to returning!
