We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The owner was very gracious and kind. Communication is excellent, he answers you immediately and is very helpful. The place is clean and very relaxing. The hot tub was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful private cabin with excellent hot tub!

My husband and I journeyed here for the holidays and we had a wonderful, private, romantic time at this cabin. The hot tub was incredible, well-sheltered, and the perfect temperature. The cabin itself was immaculate and welcoming, while a tad old fashioned. I should also mention that our dreadfully late check in time (we ran into car trouble) Micheal was friendly, accommodating, and prompt in his replies.

My only critique would be that it would be great for the house to provide some spare towels. Popping in an out of the hot tub as much as we did, we quickly ran out of our own!

Loved the home - very charming. Very clean and cozy. Quiet! Hot tub was a big plus. Loved meeting the owners when we checked in. They showed us the house and lake. Enjoyed our stay.

Clean and comfortable

Overall we had a wunderful stay. The house was clean and very comfortable for six adults. Having access to the grill and hot tub made for a lovely summer night. Highly recommended.

Fabulous rental for week or weekend getaway!!!

Rented this house with 2 other couples. The house was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for 6 adults. The rooms were a perfect size. 2 of the 3 rooms lead out to a balcony overlooking the lake. Hot tub is clean and well taken care of. The Pool table is perfect for relaxing at night. The Fireplaces are gorgeous and keep the downstairs warm. Walking into the house you can tell it is well maintained and that it is extremely clean. You receive a warm and homey feel while staying here. Very close to Jack Frost (15 mins). White haven diner, liquor store, food market 3 mins away. Plenty of restaurants just minutes away with great food. Owner is extremely polite, friendly, and accommodating. The only down fall is having to leave and head back to reality. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone who wants to recharge and have a relaxing getaway. I will be returning in the fall to attempt some white water rafting in the area!!

Will not stay here again

This house was perfect, however the owners were quit rude at the end of our stay. I rented this house the end of the weekend back in February with some close friends. We had a wonderful stay. Pool table was well maintained and ready for use. Fireplaces made it very homey. Some disappointments were that the rooms were quite small but it did its part. Hot tub was nice but only for like 2-3 people and not seven and didn't get hot at some moments. Shower was a little weak in pressure. It was very icy walking to and from the house which they should've taken care of before we arrived since someone fell. We were very satisfied with the house being it's our first time and had a very relaxing stay. However, a month later I receive a letter in the mail stating they are withholding half of the security deposit which we were all appalled. They have some nerve and stated such absurd accusations of how we left the house; we would never breach a contract since we are all mature adults. I wonder if they do this to everyone and accuse them so they can keep extra pocket money? We WILL NOT stay here again and rent elsewhere for our next stay.

Owner's Response: As owners of the property reviewed please allow us to reply to the insinuations and allegations of this guest. May we point out as stated by this reviewer the house was perfect. This house is and always was spotless with everything in working order at check-in. Either one or both of us are always present at check-in; making us available for any questions or comments on the house. No complaints or disappointments were voiced either at check-in or any time during their stay. HOT TUB: Pictured at site, seats four (4) and was never meant or advertised to seat seven (7) was clean and in proper working order. Instructions are always given to our guests with respect to its operation. If instructions are disregarded the computer does not function properly, thus possibly throwing off the water temperature. DRIVE WAY AND PATH LEADING TO HOUSE: As we were in the midst of several snow storms both were maintained, shoveled and salted right up to the time of their arrival. WATER PRESSURE: Never a problem in all the years house has been rented. Now to the crux of the complaint - holding of 1/2 of security deposit. This is a non-smoking house and advertised as such. At check-out, ashes were observed on the coffee table by both me and our cleaning personnel. The hallway walls and stairway leading to the second floor had been freshly painted a week before this guest arrived. Upon departure there were numerous black marks the entire length of the wall going to the second floor. Scrubbing the walls did not alleviate the marks and the entire area had to be re-painted. Even with the damage to the walls and smoking, as a courtesy to this guest 1/2 of the security deposit was returned to her. We find it ironic that no problems existed with this rental until partial security was withheld; even though we make ourselves available to every guest. Security was returned ten days after departure. Most importantly, to accuse us of being dishonest and intentionally withholding security is to say the least malicious and inflammatory. We have never nor would we ever contemplate taking such action. In the years we have been renting our properties our integrity has never been questioned. Many of our valued guests have repeatedly rented year after year from us. We would assume that speaks for our honestly. In closing, we respectfully ask that when making a decision about our homes that you read the 5-star reviews on both the homes and us personally.
