Autumn is spectacular in Pine Mountain Club!
Please note: Conditions apply with regard to our one-night minimum stay. Ask first!
We recently acquired the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space now available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit (bring your horseshoes and go for it!); a picnic table; many seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottage.
Please contact us if you wish to rent only the outdoor space for day events. Contact us also about special events and retreats.
We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music.
The cabin has undergone a full cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes new spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; hardwood flooring up and downstairs; a beautiful, full-sized, stove and hood; programmable coffee maker; mop and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new stainless steel pot and pan set; DVD and CD player; new log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the master bedroom); new IKEA twin bed and mattresses; 6 new pillows--4 down and 2 hypo-allergenic; designer down comforters; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath. We also have some new deck furniture. But, most importantly: we finally have hooked up the propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like!
Also, for our summer visitors, we have two large ceiling fans and lots of ventilation in the upstairs living area. The downstairs bedrooms stay shaded and cool all season long.
We've also added a fire pit to the upstairs deck.
This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); a fold-out bed; a large fold-out sleeping pad; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout and has hardwood floors up and downstairs; and filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with free high-speed, broadband wireless Internet access (Wifi).
Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property.
The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Our guests receive use of four free guest passes for their entire stay. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year.
The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.

This property is indeed cozy; it is the classic mountain cabin of your imagination. The interior is wonderfully decorated with old-time artifacts that fit the setting perfectly, and add to the warm coziness. Our family of eight was comfortable and very much enjoyed this quiet, relaxing retreat in the pines. We didn't get a chance to use the community membership, but those amenities are icing on the cake for families with kids, offering swimming, hiking, etc. If you are looking for a wonderful mountain getaway, it doesn't get any better than this!
We had an amazing time in PMC, and staying at this cabin made it possible. Our family of four (2 kids) and one set of grandparents cozied up in this cabin. It was the perfect size---not too cramped, but not too big. There's enough privacy when someone wants a little quiet reading time outside or downstairs, but a perfect opportunity for families to spend some quality time together in one great room. Plenty of blankets, heat, kitchen amenities. Unfortunately there were no complimentary toiletries as listed, but everything else was as promised.
This location is perfect. In fact, we checked out the area and some open houses and at the end of the day decided this cabin was still the best of all we'd seen. It's close proximity to the town center is convenient and fun. It's very quiet out back even though there are neighbors on both sides and across the street. Definitely a cabin to return to.
Our family had a super fun time. I liked that we could walk to the village and loved the clubhouse fun. The cabin was adorable. I hope we can come back soon.
My friends and I have come to this cabin 3 times. Each time is better than the last. The location is perfect--lots of hiking close by. Walk to Fern Lake and the village. The cabin itself has everything you need and is so cozy! It's adorable and well-loved. It's obvious that lots of memories were created here. We will be back again. Thanks!
Beautiful location, adorable cottage. We enjoyed our stay, even took the time to enjoy one of my old favorite movies on VHS. Be sure to carefully read the description though, as guests provide their own linens and paper goods. I had no problem doing so, but did have to sacrifice some road trip space in an already cramped minivan to do so. Also, some of the dishes were not clean, and had to be washed before use. Oh, and the inside stairs are a bit steep and were a little tough on my parents - the kitchen/living room is upstairs, bedrooms down.
My family and I had a great time here. We enjoyed hikes, playing games, eating meals together,, s'mores on the back deck, and some snow play. We were able to comfortably fit the 7 of us in the living room and sleeping arrangements. Any questions I had were promptly answered before and during our stay.
The cabin was very conveniently located near the small lake and close enough to the store to pick up last minute items.
The view out the back was priceless and was heaven with a cup of coffee in the AM. It snowed the last night so the view was even more awesome when we woke up to the view awash with white.
Access to hiking trails from our back yard!
