Our A-frame is at the turn off to go to Cherokee Village. It is on a private drive behind the old Catfish Restaurant (the restaurant has sold; The name may change). We have 11 acres including a two story home down the way. Additionally, down the bluff, via a walking trail (you can also access by car), we own a couple of acres on the waterfront by the falls that are shown in the pictures on VRBO. You can wade in the water, swim, launch your canoe, picnic or play a round of kick ball. Needless to say, we required a 'release of liability' to be signed for use of our waterfront.

As former campers in the Hardy Arkansas Area, we feel so fortunate to have spent a number of years in this amazing place. Upon finding this beautiful home, we realized we had an opportunity to share our love of this area with others.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
The tranquility of the river, the excitement of the rapids and the relaxing sounds of the water have made this cabin a great place for get-away weekends.
We enjoyed our stay other than the fact that there were FLEAS!! I informed the owner so hopefully they get an exterminator out. Also, there's no cable in the house so bring movies if you want to watch TV. This place would be very small if you need to sleep 6, as advertised. It away fine for the two of us and our two children. Other than the bug bites and having to wash all of our clothes multiple times, the place was at least clean. We were also given the wrong code to get in, and had to wait outside with screaming kids for about an hour for the owner to answer the phone for the right code. Giving two stars for the fleas, lack of space, and for the owners lack of communication.
I'll start with the positive aspects of this house. It was a reasonable size for a small family. It had been updated It is reasonably close to downtown Hardy and a short drive to Spring River. The air conditioners do keep the house cool. I will begin by saying that I am certainly not a clean freak or one of those moms that asks a million questions. But, I had a difficult time getting answers to my questions, (there were only three of them). The response time was very slow, or not answered at all. The kitchen was lacking some things that I thought would be there. I would have expected a can opener a few dish towels, and a broom. The living area needed to have the pull out sofa and love seat replaced, because after the first person sat on them, the cushions sank into the frame. There were dirt dobber nests on the curtains and on the bedroom wall. The sheets, comforter, mattress pad and pillow had not been washed from the previous guests. There was chocolate on the mattress pad and blood on one of the pillows. There were clean sheets that I found the second day in a plastic bag on the floor behind the roll out bed in the closet. But, there was no clean comforter or blankets for any of the beds. There wasn't a washing machine there for me to wash them in. We used our beach towels as blankets and sheets. The electricity kept going off. I guess we had too many things plugged in. So, I had to go outside and through a door that led under the house to flip the breaker back on. We finally figured out that the air conditioners and oven could not be on at the same time. I think I could have been more positive about the rental if it had been clean.
My friend and I had a great opportunity to get away during the week. This place was just perfect. Bedding was very nice and soft. The outside deck was so peaceful overlooking the woods. We had great access to the river and waling trails. Nice restaurant in walking distance. We will be back!!!!!
Upon arrival, the A-frame is adorable and cozy. Everything seemed to be as pictured. However, it was not clean. I don't mean from the previous tenant, I mean in general. There were cobwebs, a sticky spot on the floor that had been left there, cat litter in the pantry (WHY), the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was only one extra blanket, which it says it sleeps up to 6, but you would have had to bring extra sheets, pillows, and blankets. It is close to the river, close to walking trails, and beautiful views. We did enjoy our stay, and Shayna (who I was dealing with) was nice and very quick to respond to my questions, but we were not thrilled and probably would not stay here again.
