Such a warm and inviting place
The weather and the views were exceptional. The house was immaculate and felt like visiting a relative. This is an excellent place to refresh and renew . He restoreth my soul. We never turned on the TV for fear it might tear us away from for perfectly peaceful weekend. We will return.
Thank you, Denise for your lovely review. Our guest do enjoy the spaciousness of our three bedroom High Fields Farm and its stunning mountain views. It is located on its own 130 acre farm with a private pool in-season and two gas fireplaces and outside fire pit for fall and winter. It is one of our three Fairhill Farm Country Vacation Rentals.
Our two adjacent farms comprise almost 300 acres with ponds and streams to explore and miniature horses to enjoy. There are over five miles of private trails. Peaceful Country Retreat
The property had everything we needed and more for last minute getaway NYE weekend. It was clean, stocked and well maintained. We enjoyed the trails and mountain views during the day and the brilliant stars and fire pit at night. Location close to SNP.
Can't wait to go back!
Our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents stayed at the farm in late October and were beyond pleased with every aspect of our stay. The kids loved the miniature horses, ringing the big farm bell, the fire pit, fishing and hammock. Grown ups enjoyed the view from front porch rocking chairs, screened porch, evenings by the fire pit and hikes on the property. The peace and serenity there is such a welcome contrast to normal hectic life. We made a few trips to Shenandoah National Park and also visited Luray caverns. The home is lovely, we had plenty of room to spread out and had everything we needed. The owner is very kind and a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed it so much that my husband booked the house for late November for a pastor's retreat and they all enjoyed the home and property as well! We will definitely be back, probably next summer so we can enjoy the pool!
I would highly recommend staying at this property. It is beautiful and relaxing. A great place to get away from noise pollution and to the charm of the country. The owner is very hospitable and charming like the farm. We have stayed here many years and will continue to go back for many years.
Returning for a 2nd visit after a nine year hiatus, I held my breath as I turned into the driveway and approached the house. The vegetation is a little larger, but all was, to my relief, as remembered. With a sigh of relief I entered to find everything clean and in its place, awaiting my arrival along with a bottle of wine from a local winery and a note welcoming me back. I continue to be struck by the attention to detail, the effort to make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in the door. The property is beautiful and conveniently located. I checked off a "bucket list" desire to hike part of the Appalachian Trail! We really appreciated the addition of the fire pit while gazing at that ridge. My Granddaughters "adopted" the miniatures horses as their own for the week. Thank you for helping me make memories with my family!
Beautiful getaway with attention to every detail.
Beautiful getaway with attention to every detail. Extremely clean and comfortable, adorable ponies with access to fishing and hiking and a clean pool to cool off in. We couldn't have dreamed of a better getaway and hope to be back.
