About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Located in the beautiful John River Gorge, between Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, GLOBE VALLEY RANCH is 'where the pavement ends' and your dream vacation begins. Our family began our dream of building quaint mountain cabins with the purchase of 117 acres on the Johns River in 2005. The Johns River and the Pisgah National Forest border our property and offer a beautiful, tranquil setting to be enjoyed in all seasons!

We proudly offer our brand new hand hewed log cabin with 2 bedrooms and a loft with 2 single beds. A wonderful six seater hot tub sits on the back deck of the cabin. We rent on a daily or weekly basis. In addition, we have built a 36x36 timber frame barn with a BBQ area and play area. We invite you to listen and observe the abundant wildlife on our pristine acreage and enjoy total relaxation on the covered front porch that overlooks 'Bear Hollow Creek'. You may also enjoy a hike down by the Johns River to 'wet a hook'. Our vacation destination offers a wide range of outdoor activities for the adventure enthusiasts during spring, summer, fall or winter.

There are other rental units on the property, VRBO # 640172 .

Make sure u stop in Lenoir for supplies if coming from Raleigh area - very much off of the beaten path. Took us close to an hour to get to blowing rock area

Owner is fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

I couldn't be happier with the owner! I book this cottage to get out of hurricane Irma from Charleston. Once I learned that the hurricane wasn't going to be too bad here in Charleston and it was mainly flooding I asked if it was potential for a transfer of weekends because I understood there was a no cancellation policy within the 30 day window of purchase. The owner surprise me with a full refund and have no questions or qualms with it. I was so impressed and it says a lot about her business skills and integrity. For this fact in general I will be booking again in the near future for fall. I can't thank her enough and again I'm very impressed with her.

Peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

What a peaceful and relaxing stay we had! The house is well laid out, warm and inviting. The beds were super comfortable, which can be hard to find in rental homes. I love how private and spacious the property is. Our kids enjoyed playing by the creek and tubing on the river. The hot tube was also a highlight. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing and peaceful mountain vacation experience.

Charming secluded cabin

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place. Clean, well kept, fast wifi, toys for the kids, great hot tub, secluded property on acreage. My son loved catching creatures in the creek at the front of the house, there was plenty of kindling and firewood for the fire pit. The only drawback is it may be too secluded for some. No cell signal and the roads to get to many local attractions are unpaved and made the trips off property longer than expected (though they are quite scenic drives).
