When we arrived in Hawaii the first time about 25 years ago the first words out of my husband's mouth were 'I need to live here'. Growing up in Southern California the ocean has always been special to us.
Robin Lederman purchased this townhome in 2004
We traveled to Hawaii many times and Maui became our favorite spot. After staying in different parts of the island we found that the west side had everything we were looking for. It is our paradise.
We invite you to come to our Maui home and enjoy the perfect vacation. There is nothing better than enjoying your morning coffee while watching the surfers and going to sleep to the sounds of the waves lapping on the shore.
We are now back from our wonderful 3 week holiday and we just wanted to say what a lovely holiday house you have on Maui, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there the house was amazing everything you want inside a fantastically equipped kitchen especially as we have been in a RV for 10 days the space and facilities were second to none! the view outside was exactly as in your pictures and we loved sitting outside for all our meals and going to sleep to the sound of the sea was great. We did loads of swimming in the pools and on the beaches of Maui, plus jet biking and surfing lesson's so really tried everything, truly a holiday to remember and we hope to return again in the not too distant future and spend more time there but for now its back home and looking at the photo's.
My family and I stayed here in early August 2016. I read all of the reviews prior to our booking of this property so, I know how important the reviews are. It was my first time booking through VRBO and I was a little skeptical with renting a property from a complete stranger far, far away from home. Needless to say, our experience was absolutely fantastic! Robin was a great communicator and always got back to me promptly with answers to my questions. She was extremely organized and I appreciate her making this a painless, worry-free first time experience!
The pictures are spot on! This beautiful home is right on the ocean! A beautiful back yard! We had breakfast outside every morning and watched the early morning surfers. There were even sea turtles. The home has everything you would possible need. Towels, beach towels, cookware, all the appliances (large and small), and a good stock of seasonings, toilet paper, paper towel and laundry soap!
The Oceanside pool is a little hike from the property but, well worth it! Our kids were able to swim and boogie board just down a little ways from the back yard. The two other pools looked really nice too!
The biggest plus to this property is the location! So close to down town Lahaina by all the shops, restaurants and harbor. Many beautiful beaches close by. Koa's and Kimo's were our favorite restaurants! The Royal Lahaina Resort Luau was exceptional! Lots to do!!
We did have an issue with tiny ants. We had them on bathroom counters, in the kitchen, and on the floors in the bedrooms. There was ant spray provided and once we used it, they were gone. It was a minor setback. From what I understand, these small ants are very common there. The upstairs bedroom with the two twin beds was pretty small. The two young men who shared that room were 6'0 and 6'4. The ceilings were too low for them and they mentioned their feet hung over the end of the beds. This room would be more ideal for small children.
Overall, we had a trip of a lifetime! My family and I were so grateful to find this little piece of heaven! We already miss it and are discussing when we can get back to Maui!
Highly recommend this property!
We just came back from a fabulous, relaxing week at this oceanfront paradise, at the end, (which felt more private), of Puamana. The owner was wonderful to work with; the home was beautiful, warm and comfortable, and was very clean, well stocked with whatever we needed or would have liked. Spectacular views from master and top floor bedrooms, large comfortable living room, though most of our time was spent hanging out at the great outdoor patio with grill - taking it all in - watching the waves, surfers, and even the whales, and palm trees swaying.
We loved the proximity to things to do - just a few steps to the beach, or a few more to the pool, and tennis, and easy walk or bike ride to the picturesque fun little town of Lahaina, where there is lots to do - shop, boat tours, and the like. We drove about 15 minutes to snorkel in a recommended spot (mile marker 14) which was excellent, where we swam with exotic colorful fish and even sea turtles.
Highly recommend this townhouse for anyone wanting a great relaxing stay!
Our family of 6 adults and 2 kids spent an amazing 7 days here! The kids slept on the pull out couch. Being the shortest of the 3 couples (5'10" and 6'0"), my hubby and I got the 3rd floor bedroom with the twin beds. The room does have a proper door and the a/c works great, but standing up straight was hard and we did bump our heads once or twice. The kitchen was great and well appointed with everything you need! We cooked breakfast every day and some dinners. There is even a small ice chest to take cold water with you on your adventures. Our favorite thing to do at the house was sit outside and wait for the sea turtles to pop their heads up. They were there almost all the time! We also saw a group of 3 or 4 spotted eagle rays swimming by! The downside is the beach is very rocky, which is of course why the turtles like it! I would highly suggest wearing water shoes if you go in. But we still enjoyed swimming and boogie boarding right behind the house. It is so nice that there are beach chairs you can take with you. We also rented a kayak down in Lahaina and paddled it back to the house. From the kayak we saw a Hawaiian monk seal 4 times! He hangs out near where the channel is dug out on the south end of Lahaina. It was amazing to see such a rare animal in the wild! And we loved watching the sunset by the water as well. The house is in a great location, easy drive to Lahaina and Ka'anapali. The pools at the condo complex were a little small and warm, so we didn't use them much. The complex security people are pretty serious, constantly driving around on their golf carts. My son left the hammock out one night and it got confiscated. Luckily the office gave it back to us for free but said they would charge us if it happened again. If you like to snorkel, I highly recommend going up to Black Rock in Ka'anapali. It was amazing and the sea turtles were swimming right on the beach with all the people! We loved the Old Lahaina Luau, and were told by the locals that it is the best. We ate at Honu twice and loved it. Ask for a table by the water! If you are looking for a condo instead of a big resort, you will enjoy this condo.
Beautiful condo right on the ocean. We loved the view and the amenities. Easily provided lodging for the five of us. Great to be able to walk to Lahaina! I would recommend this property to any family looking for a beautiful location with ready access to all the Maui has to offer. Very clean and just as described.
Our family stayed here for 11 days in June and loved it. We had two adults and 4 kids (8,10,13,15). It fit us perfectly. Being right on the beach and centrally located for any excursions, hikes, boating we wanted to do during the trip. We all loved the hammock and sunsets were the best. Highly recommend.
This review is coming a few months late, but I wanted to make sure that I left a review. We went to Maui for our wedding, and this rental made it such a dream of a vacation! My family and I LOVED it! Robin was very organized and easy for me to work with in getting everything set prior to our arrival. We had 7 people, including me, my husband, our daughters, and three family members. This was a great rental for such a good-sized group. It was kept up pristinely, decorated with that nice tropical feel, had plenty of towels (different bath vs beach towels), beach toys for the kids, kitchen was well-stocked with supplies (should be everything you need), etc. The view was amazing and the sound of the ocean waves as we woke up and fell asleep was just as wonderful. The location was nice with a mile walk down a path to get to Lahaina shopping area. The one thing to be aware of if you have small children, the beach right off of the property isn't great for wading. However, there's one you can access if you drive out and then around. Some adults in our group felt comfortable walking down the shore over to the beach I'm mentioning (sorry can't remember the name), but I didn't feel comfortable having the kids do that. But, I have to say this slight detail wasn't enough for me to take away a star from this property. Our girls still loved running around, loved the hammock, and had fun in the pool. Overall, we truly loved this vacation rental and would certainly love to return the next time we have a larger group!
Maui truly has something for everyone, Whether it's a hike or bike ride through Haleakala Crater, an afternoon of whale watching on a luxurious ocean going vessel, snorkeling the incredible tropical reefs, golfing on one of the championship golf courses of Kaanapali or just watching the surfers while relaxing on your private lanai, Maui is simply the best
