Easy 2 1/2 block walk to beach. No need for a car. Easy walk to town from 'Flat Street' location. Trolley Stop 1 block away.

Use our 2 sand chairs , folding chaise, sun umbrella for beach use, 2 fishing poles, tennis racquets.Hand Cart on wheels to bring back groceries.

Walk less than 10 minutes or take short Cab ride from Boat Terminal, known as the 'Mole', to unit. Vans are lined up near Mole. Approximately $12. dollar cab ride to location

About The Owner

I started coming to Catalina with my family as a child. It has always been been one of my fondest memories. My friend's family also had a house here which I was invited to stay several times. I started coming over with my own boat and bringing my kids over to Catalina when they were little. As they grew the boat seemed smaller and my wife did not like to sleep on the boat.

I purchased the place 5 years ago and since restored the units to their original condition plus a few upgrades. The unit I have for myself is super clean and should be the perfect place for you and your guests during your stay in Avalon.

The Master Bedroom with King Bed. Private Bath located off Master bedroom. No bathtub, shower only. Located downstairs.

Second Bedroom with two twin beds.

Additional bath located off kitchen downstairs. Shower only, no bathtub.

Third bedroom upstairs with two sets of bunk beds.

Note:This rental has real beds to sleep six comfortably. Many other advertised rentals for six may count fold out couches ( for two) and other temporary beds to make up six person count.

Catalina has become a perfect vacation spot for me and my family as I do not usually get to take a long vacation as an owner of a small business.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2003

Why The Owner chose Los Angeles County

Easy access from Los Angeles for quick getaway to feel like you are much further than 20 miles from the Mainland.

What makes this apartment unique

Stay close enough to town but far enough away from the crowds. Short walk to Golf, Tennis and fine dining at Country Club or casual dining at the Sandtrap restaurant. Childrens park close walk from house.

The A/C was very handy to have and it worked great! I also really loved the deck. I was able to take a nap each day up there. What a nice feature having the deck to rest up in the afternoon.

Great Roof Deck and Location

Had a fun weekend with friends on Eucalyputs. The roof deck was such a great place to hang out and plan the day on Catalina and using the dumbwaiter is fun. Close to town so you can walk to dinner and all the fun stuff in town. Also close enough to walk up to the hiking trails, so take advantage of that. Plenty of space for sleeping, not the ideal place to cook, but we weren't interested in cooking anyways. Would definitely return to this place! Thanks!

Excellent stay!!

We had the perfect Vacation two months ago. I traveled with my husband and two small children. The house is located in a quiet street that no cars can go thru which it was excellent for my two kids. we were outside playing ball, riding our bikes with no worries of cars going thru. The neighbor across the street was awesome! Gloria has kids so our kids had little friends to play with plus she lend us toys for my kids. At night when we put the kids to bed my husband and I grabbed some chairs and took them right outside to relax and it was fun seen all the neighbors just hanging out right outside of their homes. The house was excellent! everything you need and more with an awesome roof top!! we enjoyed eating up on the roof top with our kids looking at the amazing view and enjoying the wind and sun. Many times we just walked to the beach or restaurants because everything was walking distance. I loved the place and definitely will go back.

A GREAT place to stay

Owner answered all our questions up front. We had never been to Catalina before. Home is located short walking distance to where you unload from the Catalina Express Ferry. The walk is easier if you have suitcases with wheels. The place was clean and had everything we could possibly want. Short distance to ALL of Avalon. had small issue with AC unit but owner contacted maintenance guy and housekeeping immediately. Owner and housekeeping were great. I stayed with husband and our 3 children (2 of them teens). We all loved our stay. Wish TV would have been a little bigger but we were truy happy with all the conveniences of a home away from home. The owner thought of everything one could possibly need. We would definitely stay here again. A+++ service and a great home. Oh, one word of advice. it is loud because all the homes are so close together but you'll be spendign all your time out and about anyway! recommend Descanso Beach happy hour. half price on everything. Bus tour of Avalon is really fun and informative. Snorkeling and Kayaking is amazing too. Bring cash if you want to do the golf carts. They don't accept credit cards. I highly recommend this property. We love it there. it felt like home and you save money with your own groceries.

Lovely home and a great vacation experience!

This home on Eucalyptus Ave had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including it's convenient location! My husband and I, our children and my parents stayed here for 5 nights and there was plenty of room for all. Our first afternoon we stocked the fridge with purchases from Vons (a very walk-able distance away) and ate most of our meals at home - saving a ton of money!

There were amenities that pleasantly surprised us ... such as the updated bathrooms, the amazing rooftop deck with dumbwaiter, tons of towels, 2 chairs and an umbrella for staking out our spot on the beach, and other conveniences like ceiling fans, wi-fi, a dvd player and cable tv, etc etc. The summer Olympics were on during our stay, and we spent a few evenings cheering on Team USA.

The cleanliness, comfort, convenience, and overall enjoyment of this vacation rental will definitely bring us back again. As you can see, we were just thrilled with everything, and thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Clean, quiet, nice updated place!

Very nice clean house, neighbors were all really quiet, being on a street with no cars makes a big difference! Nicely stocked kitchen, everything you could want. Lots of towels and blankets. The room with 4 bunkbeds was great to have. The roof top access and patio were the icing on the cake, we went upstairs each evening to enjoy the breeze and the view. The owner was great to work with. Best time we've ever had in Catalina.

Botanical Gardens @Wrigley Memorial. Long Walk or take Trolley. One of my favorite places to visit in Avalon! Also Long walk or take Trolley to newly remodeled Descanso Beach. Night Life... enjoy live Organ music at the evening movie at the Casino ( early show) check other pubs and restaurants for other live music.... ( nights for music may vary, check venue)...................The Marlin Club, Dockside Cafe,The Locker Room, Luau Larry's, The Landing, The Lobster Trap, The Country Club, The Wrigley Plaza Stage
