We had a great time. Kids loved the pool, ice skating, miniature golf and playing on the playground.
The property was as advertised (great view from the balcony) and fit our family of four perfectly! We loved that the location of the unit was close to the pool and hot tub areas. Wifi was poor (only really worked in the downstairs bedroom) and the heating/cooling controls were confusing but we eventually figured them out. The kitchen is small in size but worked out well, even for preparing Christmas Day dinner (but don't expect the cook a full size turkey in the smaller than normal oven.) A small suggestion: get more teaspoons, a new vegetable peeler, and check lights for bulbs...entry way light not working and bedside wall lamp takes non-standard light bulbs.) The owner was easy to work with and was available 24/7 via phone. I would recommend this condo unit to anyone wishing to stay in the Bend/Mt Bachelor area.
We just returned from a great three nights/four days in Bend. Our first time in the summer, but not our last.
The condo itself is very simple and clean. It's smaller than the photos portray, which is ok. That's just the feeling I got. The loft area upstairs has the king bed- so if you're looking for privacy from your kids, forget it. :) The bedroom on the main floor is the queen.
The configuration of the living room is different than the listing photo which may be why it felt small to me. Now there is a small table with three chairs where the couch is and a large Lazy Boy chair near the window. Along the opposite wall is the sofa bed couch with the coffee table in between.
The kitchen is very basic...good for making breakfasts and lunches. So many good places to eat in Bend, you won't want to cook dinner! If you're staying for more than one night, bring some coffee. There was only one small bag. Go eat at Spork, Drake and McKay Cottage- you won't be disappointed.
The bathrooms were clean, but could use an update. The doors looked like someone kicked a whole in them and there were some poorly done patch/paint jobs that should have just been replaced with a new door. The showers were pretty dated too.
I also felt the property could have been a little more generous with towels. There were only 4 pool towels when it sleeps up to six people. Could have used a few extra shower towels as well.
The property, Seventh Mountain Resort, is awesome. Very clean, well maintained and very safe. My boys are 10 and 7 and I felt comfortable letting them golf and go to the playground (right by the pool) alone. We should have brought our bikes too!
This unit is right across the street from the miniature golf (free), pool and gift shop where you can book tours. We did a water rafting excursion. You can book it though Seventh Mountain Resort's website prior to your trip. The staff was terrific very accommodating. They allowed us to easily change our reservation due to a little rain on the day we were supposed to go. It was a blast and I highly recommend.
My boys also did a horseback ride that lasted about an 1:15. The stables are also on the property. A three minute walk from the unit. Debbi, the owner, was great with my kids and gave them the perfect horse for their temperament and abilities. The contact information is also on the Seventh Mountain website.
The property is about 5-6 miles from downtown.
This was a perfect place for our family of five. The three kids slept in the loft and my husband and I slept in the bedroom. It's super close to everything. We enjoyed the pools, horseback riding as well as hikes right out our back door. I'd highly recommend this place to other families.
This was our first time out at 7th Mountain. I was afraid it would be too far outside of town, but we loved it. The pools, mini golf and access to trails and the river made the short drive from downtown worth it. The condo was great, comfy beds and amazing view. Could easily sleep 5-6 people. We will stay here again.
