Our home is located in the quiet, historic Old Northeast neighborhood of downtown St. Pete. We are on a lovely street with a great sitting porch on the front, with plenty of shade. We have a brick patio in the rear with a gas charbroiler and gas range for outdoor entertaining and cooking. Our home is warm and cozy - a perfect place to relax. We have 2 bedrooms one bath upstairs. Master bedroom and bath and a half downstairs. We have a gas burning fireplace and a large open living area.

There is never a shortage of activities! Old Northeast is centrally located for walking and biking, only two blocks to downtown St. Pete, the Tampa Bay waterfront and the beautiful North Shore Park. The park includes an Olympic size public pool and tennis courts, plus a waterfront walkway.

The historic Vinoy Hotel is only two blocks away, with fabulous restaurants on Beach Drive and the St. Petersburg Pier. Just a few blocks from our home is the Muvico theatre complex with Imax.

St. Petersburg has a cutting edge art scene which includes The Museum of Fine Arts, the new Chihuly Gallery on Beach, the new Salvador Dali Museum, the Morean Arts Center, the Mahaffey Theatre, the St. Petersburg Theatre, numerous art galleries and St. Petersburg Clay Company. the largest pottery complex in the south.

There are several venues for live music in downtown St. Pete, including Jannus Landing and the State Theater. We are 15-20 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We are only 20 minutes to a major airport. We have a small airport, Albert Whitted, in downtown St. Pete. Bus service is a block away. St. Pete has an amazing YMCA, among other gyms, numerous day spas - one at the Vinoy Hotel, two blocks away!

What makes this house unique

Geoff and I love to walk everywhere - and chose this home in Old Northeast for that reason. We walk to movies, restaurants and the many activities that downtown has to offer. We just love our location!

Home comfort with the best of St. Pete at your doorstep

  • 5 of 5

We're looking forward to our third stay at this well-equipped house a short walk from all the pleasures of downtown St. Pete. Unlike sterile rentals where no one ever lives but tourists, this house is the cherished home of serious cooks and hosts who care about their comfort--and yours. If their kitchen doesn't have it, trust me--you don't need it. The photos don't do justice to the charm of the laid-back charm of the house, which has a state-of-the-art entertainment system and all the space you could want for relaxing with friends. Bonus: Debbie and Geoff are responsive landlords who'll take care of any little glitch in short order.

Wonderful home away from home.

We were in St Petersburg for the St Anthony's triathlon. This was the perfect location to go back and forth to the race site. Deborah made the whole process so easy, she was a pleasure to work with. The home is very comfortable and makes you feels like you are "home" as soon as you walk in. We had plenty of room for every one. And the back patio was perfect for putting the bikes together. The kitchen is awesome, so well stocked. There is a list of local restaurants and shopping and other helpful items in a booklet, which made finding places a breeze. The personal items and art work give you a sense of history and make the home feel "lived in" and so well cared for. not a sterile rental. We use VRBO a lot and this was by far one of our favorite places. I definitely would stay here again.

Charming home in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this house for the entire month of March! The home was nicely remodeled and upgraded but not stripped of its charm. The library of interesting books, the artwork, and the personal objects gave lots of character to the place. The large kitchen overlooked a lovely enclosed patio area and was well equipped. There was a generous supply of household linens and pillows.

We also loved being within walking distance of the beach, library, restaurants, shops and parks. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. It was a nice central location that allowed us to travel a short distance in all directions to see the area sights. There was a lot to see and do here. The house was a comfortable “home base” to return to after our outings and we loved sitting on the front porch. Great house, accommodating owner, wonderful location and the warm weather made our vacation stay truly special.

Great house, great location, great host

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to get to know "downtown" St. Pete and this house allowed for easy walkable access to museums, restaurants, parks, and the bay, but also with an easy drive to the gulf beaches. This house exudes charm with spacious living areas, front and back outdoor spaces, and comes well equipped for comfort, cooking, and relaxing. Communication with the owner was exceptional. It was simply perfect for our month-long stay.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just spent the last 7 weeks in Deborah and Geoff's lovely home while our home in Orlando was being renovated. We could not have had a better time! I will admit I was a bit nervous about staying in someone else's home for such a long period of time. As soon as I entered the home all worries were instantly gone! There is an air of warmth and a sense of "home" as soon as you enter. I was instantly smitten!

Aside from the charm of the home the location is perfect! We love to walk and being within such close proximity to the bay, lovely restaurants, the sailing center, the Dali Museum and many other wonderful

places to explore the location was ideal! It was also such a treat to be so close to St. Pete Beach.

The home owners were so wonderful and made our stay such a pleasure. We have already recommended this home to a few friends. We cannot wait to visit again!

Charming home

Debra was a delight to work with and the transaction went very smoothly. Their home is ideally located within walking distance of the waterfront, museums, wonderful restaurants. It is located 3 blocks behind the Vinoy hotel where our sons wedding was celebrated. It was more cost effective for us to rent the house. It is very comfortable and we felt right at home.
