Yellowstone Lodge Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12-20)

No place... SPEAKS... 'Montana' like Quaking Aspen Ranch!!

Built in 1999 with comfort, elegance, and privacy in mind – Quaking Aspen Ranch is like no other. Located on 32 acres of river bottom on the banks of the blue-ribbon trout stream, East Rosebud River, this log home features 5,000 square feet of modern living.

Massive windows throughout the house allow for scenic viewing from every room. Montana’s Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains and the East Rosebud River provide the backdrop.

No matter which of the five bedrooms you rest your head in, crack the window to enlist the babble of the River. You’ll be asleep in no time.

The main floor has a spacious kitchen and dining room adjoining a great room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Adjacent to the great room is a romantic master bedroom. The master bedroom has a private deck and bath – complete with a Jacuzzi tub and a two-person shower.

The length of the complete first floor is family room – outfitted with another large, wood-burning fireplace, ping-pong table, foosball, big screen TV, DVD player and movies, and Xbox console and games. The first floor also has two queen bedrooms, each with a private bath and closet.

A balcony/bridge connects the two queen bedrooms on the third floor. Each bedroom has a private bath and closet.

Relax, fish and/or hunt right on the private riverfront property. Cast for trout – brown or rainbow – in one of two ponds, one on each side of the massive 'yard'. Or you can fish live water by casting the river bottom, a blue ribbon trout stream.

Expect to see wildlife daily. The river bottom is attractive and is some of the finest whitetail deer habitat in Montana. The river bottom is also home to sandhill cranes, blue heron rookery, turkey, moose, beaver, and red fox to name a few.

In the evening gather around the large fire pit to enjoy a bonfire and toast S’mores.

Enjoy many nearby attractions within minutes of the Ranch.

5 minutes from Quaking Aspen Ranch:

The town of Absarokee to pick up groceries or to rent a movie. The town of Fishtail, home of the Fishtail General Store – a must see.

Stillwater River – Excellent whitewater rafting opportunities during the summer months at this world-renowned blue ribbon trout stream.

20 minutes from Quaking Aspen Ranch:

Grizzly Bar & Steakhouse – Located on the East Rose Bud River in Roscoe, a tiny hamlet between Absarokee and Red Lodge, the steakhouse is known for its mouth watering Prime Rib. Cooney Reservoir State Park - Head to this reservoir to boat, play in the water, or fish walleye and rainbow trout. This reservoir is one of the most popular recreation areas in south central Montana.

30 minutes from Quaking Aspen Ranch:

Red Lodge Mountain Resort and Gold Course – one of Montana's finest ski areas with an excellent golf course.

The town of Red Lodge is in Outside Magazine as one of the '30 Best Places to Live and Play and National Geographic Adventure named it to its 'Top Adventure Towns' List.

Emerald Lake – The Lake is heavily stocked yearly with small rainbow trout that will take just about anything.

Hike the Mystic Lake Trail, a popular day hike on the Custer National Forest.

East Rosebud Lake and Trailhead: An entrance point to 30 miles of the best backpacking, hiking, and fishing in Montana and the lower 48 states.

About Lincoln Powers

I was born and raised on this wonderful property. Built my dream Log Home in 1999. My wonderful family is pictured here with my wife and I on the dock of our larger pond that is just off the banks of the East Rosebud River.

Why Lincoln Powers chose Yellowstone

This home was built as our main residence. We have since moved and are sharing our love for this property and our wonderful home with those of you lucky enough to have a chance to enjoy a stay.

What makes this lodge unique

Private, half mile stretch of the East Rosebud River, a Blue Ribbon trout fishing stream. Private ponds. Riverbottom wildlife abound; whitetail and mule deer, moose, bobcat, fox, raccoons, beaver, muskrat, blue herons, sandhill cranes, and turkeys just to name a few of the animals that can be seen daily on the property.

A Beautiful Home and a Gorgeous Wedding Venue

  • 5 of 5

We had our wedding here last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being in their beautiful home and on the grounds. The home has plenty of space with dorm style rooms. The wedding services provided by Lincoln and Judi are also top notch. Our wedding was so beautiful and as stress free as possible thanks to their help. :)

Couldn't Have Had A Better Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My now husband and I rented the lodge and the grounds for our recent wedding. From the moment I first saw this place I knew it was going to be perfect, and Judi and Lincoln were amazing. The were available to answer questions from the first moment I contacted them, and I know that there is no way we would have been able to have had the wedding we envisioned without their help.

The lodge itself is INCREDIBLE! The home is beautiful while still feeling very welcoming. The beds, were super comfortable, and I could have lived in the master bathroom - if that's an option Lincoln let me know :) There was more than enough room for our entire wedding party, and for the couple we had with kids, it was a dream for them.

The grounds and the barn were setup perfectly for an outdoor wedding, and even with the 95 degree weather the surrounding trees provided enough shade to keep it comfortable.

In addition to the help Judi and Lincoln provided, they also had help from their family for bartending, prep and serving purposes. I can not say enough about how fantastic they all were. They made sure everyone was having fun, while still ensuring no one got out of control. One of the girls (I believe her name was Britney) made sure that all of the little kids running around were being sprayed down with sunscreen, which THANK YOU for that. You all seriously rock!

There really aren't enough words to say how much we appreciated everything these guys did to make our day perfect. I would highly recommend this place for your wedding or for just a family vacation. It was truly incredible and I could not have asked for more. Thank you for making it great!

Wedding Venue Extraordinaire!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this venue 6 months in advance of our daughter's wedding. From the very first day (walking through the beautiful lodge, barn, etc) it has been a most wonderful experience. The owners helped us all the way through and we could not have pulled off this wedding without their help and expertise. Our choices were to rent the lodge for the day of the wedding, include a nights stay, add on wedding planning, catering, etc. We added a one night stay for the night before the wedding, along with wedding planning (Awesome Owners!!!). Then added catering for the reception. It was a hectic stressful time for all of us. However with the owners talking and walking us through, it could not have been a more pleasant time. The accommodations in the lodge were fabulous, we made use of the huge gas grill and had a barbecue for the rehearsal party. The morning of the wedding the “continental” breakfast was super and just right for our whole wedding party. The owners and their staff arrived and set up the arbor near the river, chairs, tables and decorations etc. Now, this was an 11:00 wedding - they had it all ready well ahead of show time and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! The reception food consisted of our choice of scrumptious hors d’oeuvres’. We had the reception in the barn and the whole building was transformed into this beautiful magical wonderland with strings of lights overhead, table cloths on tables, large dance floor, and well put together buffet tables of food. All chairs were moved over near the barn for guests to be seated at tables outside under more overhead lights. I just can’t say enough about how beautiful it all was. Our daughter is very strong willed and very opinionated when it came to her wedding and how she wanted it to be, without the owners I just know this wedding would have been a disaster anywhere else. I highly recommend discussing any and all concerns with the owners as they will kindly and expertly help you through any hiccups you may have. If you are looking for beautiful accommodations for any reason, whether that be a family reunion, vacation destination, or wedding, Quaking Aspen Lodge should be your only choice!

We look forward to going back for a family reunion within the next year or so!!

Christmas retreat for Ruffatto family

  • 5 of 5

We try to stay at the cabin one weekend before Christmas each year. My grown children consider it a second home. There is lots of room and a fantastic kitchen . The kids love playing pingpong and football. This year it was cold enough to go ice skating. Skates are provided. We hope to return next year.

Our Wedding @ Quaking Aspen

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay and also had our wedding on the grounds, the house was pretty much perfect aside from a few personal affects left inside from the owner, it is equipped with everything you could need as far as appliances go and very nice facilities. Lots of enjoyment to be had in the basement game room and has a beautiful view of the East Rosebud River. The owner was hard to contact sometimes and seems to respond faster to phone calls rather than email.

Not the Best Experience

  • 1 of 5

We were informed two days prior to arriving that there would be construction going on around the cabin. The owner gave us the option to reschedule, but that was not an option with family traveling from many locations. When we arrived we found a road to the cabin that was barely accessible. The cabin was not very clean and was missing key pieces of furniture like night stands and some beds did not have complete sets of bedding. The owner did not give us a walk thru to make sure we understood everything. Each day we were there we had to coordinate with the road construction company to get in and out of the place since many times the road was covered with piles of dirt and rocks making it impassible. Each morning we woke up at 7:30am by the sound of machinery and the smell of diesel fuel.

We talked to the owner (Lincoln) and got verbal agreement from him to discount the amount we paid due to the inconvenience of the construction. Since we left he has not responded to any messages or e-mails.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend this rental.
