Come stay in our newly renovated 1890's train station in the heart of the bluegrass.
We are on a working thoroughbred horse farm right off Paris Pike, one of the most scenic areas in all of Central Kentucky. Drive by Gainsway and Elemendorf farms on the way to Claiborne farm. 15 minutes to the Kentucky Horse Park, Fasig Tipton, close to Keeneland and the Lexington area attractions.
Hutchison Station was part of the L&N railroad system between 1890-1950, it still has the original hardwood floors, 12' ceilings and much of the original molding. In its heyday it included a post office, livestock loading platform, general store and blacksmith's shop. You can read more about the station house in 'Ghost Railroads of Kentucky'. Many of the original families still live in the area.
Area activities include a 9 hole golf course within walking distance, and a short drive to many 18 hole courses, horse farm tours, historicl sites including Shakertown, Mary Todd Lincoln House, Henry Clay Estate, Civil War battlefields and much more.
We have easy access to I75 & I64 and are located 1/2 way between Lexington and Paris.

Lisa and I run a Thoroughbred horse farm where the Station House is located. We live on the farm, Lisa since she was 5 years old. Farm duties involve the breeding and raising of thoroughbred horses. Lisa and her father raised and raced their own horses off this farm.
This property has been part of the family farm since the 60's.
Wake up and have breakfast while looking at a field full of horses. Historic accommodations in a peaceful atmosphere. Walk to a 9 hole golf course.
We stayed at the renovated train station for a small Bible study retreat. The train station was absolutely gorgeous! The owner was nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is lovely! Everything was neat and clean. The high ceilings were very unique and made the apartment feel huge inside. We fully enjoyed our stay and recommend this place highly!
My college friend and I stayed here for a week. The location is convenient although feels away from it all. We loved drinking coffee and watching the horses run in their pastures. They donkeys greeted us every time we walked to our cars. The place itself is beautiful without being fussy. We felt at home here. We ate a lot of our meals in and always enjoyed our drives into Lexington with all of the beautiful horse farms. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a special time away.
We had a great stay here in Paris. We loved the house. Everything was spotless. The beds were comfortable. The decor was fabulous! We had everything we needed for our stay. Steve met us when we arrived to be sure everything was perfect. And, it was, down to the fresh baked cookies and fresh flowers on the dining table! I would recommend this home to anyone in the area. We were on a short vacation to visit some distilleries, and we happy to call this home.
This place is fabulous. The beds were comfy, great tv's and internet, plenty of space, and a well equipped kitchen. It was clean and inviting. Steve was very friendly and nice. We hope to return!
This is the second time we've stayed here for Christmas & it was just as enjoyable the second time around. It is such a comfortable set-up for us, right around the corner from our daughter & family, everything we need is right at hand & it is SO peaceful & serene! Thanks so much for your hospitality Steven, we also loved the fresh flowers & cookies, such a nice touch!

We had a wonderful stay at this renovated train station. Room was very clean and comfortable.
The owner Steve, was friendly and helpful. Fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies and a dozen roses waiting for us.
My boys had a great time feeding the donkeys and horses.
This was our first time using VRBO and were pleased with the process.
