This villa, reminiscent of the traditional Mexican haciendas, is built on a 10 acre compound. In addition to its six bedrooms spread out through four floors, the house has inviting living, dining and recreation areas, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio, with dining for 12 or more persons. In addition to mountain views, the villa is conveniently located to Tepoztlan (five minutes), Cuernavaca (20 minutes) and Mexico City (60 minutes).
The area's craggy mountains and jagged cliffs are as spectacular as those in Sedona, Arizona, but Tepoztlan, at a higher altitude and significantly greener, boasts moderate weather throughout the year. It is officially recognized as one of Mexico's magical areas. Master yoga instructors abound in the area.
Outdoor activities are splendid, including swimming, bird watching, hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing and golfing at nearby courses. Major archaeological sites are close by.
Relax and pamper yourself in this spacious and comfortable home.
Nearby Tepoztlan, with cobblestone streets and the glow of a traditional Mexican town, is one of a handful of Mexican localities officially recognized as a Pueblo Magico (Magical Town). It features a traditional Mexican market. Fine traditional and nouveau Mexican fare is available at local restaurants. A former convent converted to a museum offers a unique glimpse of the colonial past. Cuernavaca, the city of eternal Spring, has world-class restaurants waiting to serve you in elegance either indoors or al fresco. In addition to Cuernavaca, Tepoztlan and Mexico City, other areas of historic importance within a two-hour drive from Villa San Clementito, include Taxco, Xochicalco, Malinalco and Puebla.

I came to Mexico in 1976, intending to be here for two years, and I am still here. I have managed the first relocation company in Mexico for all this time, helping executives move their families to this wonderful country. We have used that same experience to provide a unique hospitality in Tepoztlan.
What could be more relaxing than waking up as the sun comes over these magical Tepoztlan mountains? From the first visit out here, as guests of the original adventuresome owner, Clemente M. Jacques, we knew it was where we wanted to visit often. When one day in 1987 he came to our home in Mexico City and said he wanted to sell and he wanted to sell to us, well, it took about 10 minutes of discussion to say 'yes!'
We have chosen Hacienda San Clemente Jacques as our winter getaway at least 5 or 6 times not because it is in a perfect climate zone, which it is, but because it is just so darn beautiful and we love staying there and catching up with Pattie, Jorge and staff. The location, minutes from town, is so peaceful with a view of the mountains to the left and valley directly below...spectacular. Morning coffee and bird watching from the terrace, daily tennis (and butterfly spotting) then a refreshing swim became our routine. Our friend's daughter was married at SCJ in the private chapel on the property. The hacienda housed the immediate family and guests found accomodations throughout Tepoztlan and the area. Even though the house was full there was still oodles of room to get lost in. At night, overlooking the twinkling lights of the town below the patio was a wonderfully intimate outdoor dining and dancing venue strung with fairy lights.
A ground level bedroom suite opens onto the large patio for those who have difficulty with stairs. Choosing one of the bedrooms on the upper floors is difficult as they all have amazing views and tasteful decors. But what really makes San Clemente Jacques unique is the choice you have of being TOTALLY catered to or being left to your own devices. Everything from meals to shopping can be taken care of expertly by Felipe, Theresa, Francisco and Ladiana or you can practice your Spanish and shopping skills to your hearts content in the town market, one of our favourite things to do. Pattie is so conscientious about making sure you have everything you need from solving tech issues to getting you hooked up with an excellent accupuncturist or yoga instructor. Felipe takes care of the grounds and his creative touches are evident throughout, take his walking path in and around the entire property will keep you in shape. Nothing has been forgotten in the effort to make your stay memorable.
In all the times we have been to Tepoztlan and SCJ there has never been a moment when we felt unsafe or threatened on any way. We so look forward to our next stay at the hacienda.

What a brilliant time we had at both the
Haciendas...basically we had the wedding (and
week) of our dreams...it was PERFECT! Honestly, our
guests (from Australia & UK) were speechless and
have had the most incredible & memorable
experience. The swimming pools, tennis court and
hammocks were always in use and the food and
service of the staff was brillaint. The owner, Pattie
Hogan is ...The hostess with the most ..tesst and
very helpful!!! I hope everyone gets to experience
this magical, Mexican paradise in Tepoztlan.
This is the second year we have stayed at Hacienda Clemente Jacques and it was again the right spot for our large group of friends. We spent many days relaxing in the house, patio and beside the pool. We had delightful visits in town to the market and to take part in many of the traditional celebrations. The staff at the Hacienda had arranged for a driver who could take us on longer excursions to towns with crafts, wonderful old churches and archaeological sites. The staff at the house was marvelous. Always there when we needed them but never intruding on us. They are great cooks and kept the kitchen and house spotless. We will be back!
Visited this beautiful hacienda in mid-January with a group of friends. I stayed at the Hacienda Clemente Jacques and was incredibly impressed with the location of this property. It is nestled in an area, right outside of town, surrounded by a lovely view of the local mountains and the valley where Cuernavaca is located. The property was immaculate, maintained by a wonderful, friendly, hard working staff. They all provided the ultimate customer service experience, offering us delicious meals each day, along with sharing their knowledge of the area. I was able to visit with the chefs each day and learned so much about authentic Mexican cooking !!!
The hacienda provided a warm, relaxing atmosphere, and so many options to explore. We were able to take long walks on the property, enjoy the pool area, have massages and yoga classes, along with being able to photograph nature at its best with all the lovely, local flora and fauna. The courtyard of the hacienda has a great grilling area, which we enjoyed one of the evenings we were there. The living room/sitting area was a central location for our group, with evening gatherings facilitating great conversations!
The owner organized a fantastic schedule for us and we were able to enjoy a visit to Cuernavaca, exploring museums, shopping and galleries. In the local town, we were able to visit the local market, visit a local bookstore and were surprised to be able to take part in a gathering of world famous authors, with a lovely dinner that followed. We visited with local artists in their workshops and realized that this "gem" of a town, was so rich and blessed with such great talent!
The owner/manager has achieved something so special, combining a fantastic location with the best of customer service! What a wonderful experience!!!!!!! I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a unique visit to the Mexican countryside. I definitely plan on returning to visit Hacienda Clement Jacques in the near future.
We've been back twice so far this year. Hacienda Clemente Jacques is to return to again and again...so close to Mexico City and yet so far away...peace and quiet, sun and swimming, and an attentive staff that makes great home-cooked meals. The best!!
Visiting Tepoztlan was very refreshing. However, our visit was made even more special by staying at Hacienda Clemente. The grounds are charming, peaceful and well kept. Beautiful gardens, the swimming pool area has spectacular views to the valley and mountains! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well equipped with all the amenities. Most importantly, the hostess and her staff were so hospitable, accommodating and always with a smile. If you are up to a challenge, hike the Tepozteco mountain! Make sure to wear exercise attire
We have stayed here three years in a row and are signed up for our fourth. We love everything about this lovely place. It is beautiful and serene. The staff takes exquisite care of Hacienda guests. We love the proximity to charming Tepoztlan, but we have also taken trips to Puebla and Cuernavaca and the ruins - Teotihuacan, Xochicalco and others. The biggest decision of the day is whether to relax by the pool or bestir ourselves to explore other areas.
We are located approximately 1.5 hours from the Mexico City airport, 20 minutes from the East side of Cuernavaca. We are 5 km (2 miles) from the center square of Tepoztlan, and less than 1 mile from the church in Amatlan. We are 8 km from Gallaecia & just a block before Hostal de la Luz. We have tranquility, privacy and peaceful mountain & valley views not found in town.
