Charming cottage, great location

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful, unique, private cottage on the water. Charming, cozy, romantic 1935 construction with Gatsby-esque vibe. Built from local stone by a renowned craftsman during that era. Amazing stone construction and an impressive hearth in the center of the house. Sits up on a small peninsula, looks out over the water on two sides. Abuts small beach area and dock. Crystal clear water, and you can see to the bottom, even 100+ feet out. Paddlers and anglers: check out the "shelf" around the corner from the dock.

My family and I had a fantastic time at this cute stone cottage during bike week. When we arrived, the owner had left some fresh flowers, which I thought was a great touch. We had a lot of privacy and every night watched the sun go down over Lake Winnipesaukee. In the morning we were greeted by the sound of Loons out front on the water. My children had the best vacation ever, even without a T.V. It was good for all of us to communicate and get back to nature without the disruption of a television. We will be back next year for sure.
