The cottage is located just north of Fredriksted on Sunset Beach, with your own private patios with steps down to the beach. We are walking distance to town and several beach bars / restaurants. You can enjoy delicious food and beverages or grill your own tropical feast on the patio and relax while the sun sets. You may get to see the green flash!!
Walk to Rainbow Beach for jet ski rentals and ATV tours into the rain forest, kick back and enjoy the bohemian atmosphere at our favorite beach bar on the island.

Hi, we are the Maley's. We live in the Catskill Mountains where we own a bed and breakfast known as the Sedgwick House, located in the Village of Hunter. I am the mayor of the Village, and a retired postmaster. My wife, Marge, is an office manager in NYC, looking forward to retirement.
Bill Maley purchased this cottage in 2009
We looked at property all over St Croix, and kept coming back to Sunset Beach because it is the best spot on the island.
Private patio with steps down to the beach , outstanding sunsets, great place to chill!
we just got back from spending a week at the Sunset Beach Cottage, not our 1st time in St.Croix but our 1st time at the cottage. The owners have a real nice place and what a view we felt like we were the only ones on that side of the street. The cottage has so much pravacy even tho there are other reanters right next doors.
perfect set up for a couple...just loved it. Hope to get to come back next year.
Thanks for a great place to stay

We rented Bill's beach house in March 2014, we are still talking about how incredible it was!!! We were 5 of us in the family ranging from age 30 to 87. We snorkeled, went diving, walked on the pier and checked out beaches every day. The beach house was secluded and just want we wanted to have some privacy and yet be able to walk to town. Our first day there my daughter found hatching turtles!! We saw sea turtles and sea horses and had some great local food!!
My family and I traveled to St Croix for a Christmas visit and found Bill's cottage to be the most fabulous place! We absolutely loved it! The first day there my son and 12 year old niece snorkeled in front of the house and discovered a sea horse and two green turtles ready to play with us! Staying at Bill's was such a treat. Everything you need to enjoy the Sun and sand is right there. Snorkel gear, kayaks, beach chairs, a cooler for the day trips, towels and even two palm trees that frame a perfect sunset or rainbow over the Caribbean!
The cottage is close enough to walk to downtown Frederiksted it you want to pick up a Geko Tour, rent a Sunbug or visit Pier 69 for a taste of good home cooking. Much of the time we were content to just kick back and relax with something on the grill and a cold beverage as we listened to the surf. I would highly recommend this a the place to stay in St Croix. Thanks for making our first Christmas in the tropics fantastic!
My husband and I had a really good time at this cottage. Bill, the owner, was very helpful whenever I had any questions about the cottage or St. Croix itself. He was very easy to get in touch with for anything. He happened to be down there for 2 days while we were there and took us out for drinks and food. Thanks Bill!. If you are looking for something laid back, quiet and seclusion then this is a great place for you. If you are looking for nightclubs, tons of bars etc then I suggest going other places.
We really enjoyed our stay in St. Croix whether is was the 4 wheeler adventure, driving our jeep around the island or our favorite just sitting by the water with nobody in sight. You can't go wrong here. We would highly recommend and plan to come back soon.
My wife and I had a really good time at this cottage. It was a nice place to celebrate our anniversary. We were particularly impressed by how private it is. The beach is beautiful, and best of all just steps away form patio. The cottage itself was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were very comfortable also. The bedrooms , and living areas are both spacious enough to accomadate two couples or small family. Bill, the owner, was very helpfull whenever I had any questions about the cottage or St. Croix itself. He gave very helpful suggestions on interesting things to see in the area. If you are looking for a nice laid back visit to St. Croix, and want to stay away from crowded resort areas, this is the place. My wife and I met some very interesting, and friendly local people, and took in some nice sites (not to mention beautiful sunsets). We would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thanks Bill, for the wonderful stay. A.J. & Kathie (Highland, Michigan)
There are a lot of things to do on St. Croix, a few even within walking distance of this cottage. But by far the best part of this cottage is that is a great place to do nothing. You can sit on the back patio listening to and watching the ocean from sun up to sun down doing nothing, just having a great day.
