Why The Owner chose Kenai Peninsula

A very beautiful unique place! Most of our guests have been couples on a romantic, adventurous getaway. Conveinently located to fishing trips.

What makes this cabin unique

Our Cabin sits in between the famous Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. Various species of wildlife live in the proximity of the lake. The cabin was built by the owners from trees taken from the road into the property. The cabin has several handcrafted features.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We love the cabin at Teack Lake. It was what one would envision a perfect Alaskan experience. What spectacular views! Loved the wildlife and pair of nesting loons calling on the lake many mornings. Impressed with the cabin - has everything you need, it’s new, beautifully decorated. Ted and Elaina thank-you for being the most gracious hosts. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the solitude of this special place. We hope to be back soon!

Great location and beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This location is the perfect location for exploring the Kenai Peninsula. It is the most peaceful location and yet close to the city for all your needs. We were able to see Moose right there across lake from the cabin. The sunset views at almost midnight were some of the best we've ever seen! This cabin is truly in the woods. The owners were very nice and helpful. The cabin is very clean and well kept with nicer fixtures and decor. We will rent this cabin again someday! The separate sitting room seemed odd at first but when you use it you will be impressed with just how relaxing this space is.

Enjoyed watching the loons, a caribou and moose during our stay at this lovely lake cabin deep in the woods. So peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were very welcoming and we feel lucky we could spend time in this little piece of heaven in Alaska.

This location nailed it! Everything you want for the comforts of home, but that quiet lakeside retreat that puts you at ease. Fantastic details in the woodland theme decor and hosts that set the bar! We will be back, soon.

Getting away

  • 4 of 5

If you are looking for a quiet place to escape to and enjoy what the Kenai Peninsula has to offer, this is a place you may want to consider. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed to the quiet peaceful surroundings. The cabin has a small deck and fire pit are that looks out towards the lake. We spent hours just enjoying the peace, watching the loons and enjoying the setting. One morning even laughed at a moose shaking its head at the waters edge after swimming across the lake. Hosts were friendly and made themselves available if you needed them but allowed us a great deal of privacy. We appreciated the text to be able to watch a silly caribou following Elaina and her dog up the drive way when they were taking there walk. (We would not even have known they had a dog otherwise.) Cabin was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Only reason I did nt give 5 stars is that I am a big guy and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable for me personally. I would recommend to anyone and far better than staying at a hotel. Soldotna is close buy and anything you are doing on the Kenai is easily accessible.

Owner's Response: We always enjoy sharing our special place with guests who appreciate what Teack Lake has to offer and were thrilled for you to experience the peaceful setting and wildlife. In regards to the mattress, this is the first complaint we have received although find the reference will be very beneficial for other guests who are larger, thank you for bring this to our attention. We are disappointed in receiving our first 4 star rating since the comfort of mattress has never been an issue.
