Spacious 5BR/3.5BA Oaks at Wasatch Condo

This recently remodeled condo is located on the outer fringe of Salt Lake City at the Base of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. It is 7 or 8 miles to Snowbird and Alta Ski Resorts (Utah's best skiing) and 9 to 10 miles to Solitude and Brighton. Downtown Salt Lake City is 15 miles and the 3 resorts at Park City are 30 miles. This is a great central location and has a wonderful view of the Wasatch Mountains. The ski shuttle stops across the street. The ski shuttle is free if you purchase the discount lift tickets that I handle (Super Pass). These save from $10 to $20 per day per person, depending on which resort they are used at . They are good at all four of the local ski resorts (Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton). They also include a free ski shuttle. Just let me know how many you need and I will have them waiting for you at the condo when you arrive. We also offer catering services, including on site Chef. Ask for menu and detail

I retired from Delta Airlines in 1991. I have been renting ski accommodations in the Cottonwood Heights area since 1987 (27 years). My properties are very clean, well maintained and nicely furnished. I have many repeat clients that come to this area every year or two, to experience the exceptional skiing that we are privileged to offer. Clean and well layed out

Perfect ski house for our group of 6. Near to everything. We cooked one night and watched the Super Bowl. Worked out great - would come back!

Older, but spacious and well maintained

There is plenty of room and while it is an older condo, it was well maintained and was as advertised. It is convenient to hiking (would also be close to skiing, but we were there in August....) Next time we need a place to stay in SLC, we would look to rent this condo again. Dennis was most helpful, especially when we forgot something when we left.

Responsive owner and house with everything you need

We needed a long term rental in the SLC area when we traveled there for my husband's medical treatment. I really appreciated that when we walked in, it immediately was our home for 4 weeks. Little things like having ample laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper and seasonings meant I was not spending the first hours scrambling for essentials.

Because our stay was in the off-season (summer), we discovered a problem with the AC that would not have been apparent during most rentals of the house. The owner personally came over because it was a holiday weekend and his usual maintenance person was out of town. Notwithstanding the holiday, he immediately found someone to make the repair and everything was fine within about 24 hours. In the interim, he brought us additional fans to keep the house cool.

I would love to stay here in ski season. It's truly right in the middle of 4 great ski resorts and the ski bus stops right across the street. We went to Snowbird and rode the tram and went to Big Cottonwood Canyon to hike. The house is 4 doors down from a neighborhood park, so I could shoo the kids out of the house and know they had something nearby to do. While we did not participate, the surrounding roads were lousy with bicyclists taking in the beautiful scenery and getting a serious workout.

The house is about half a mile from a grocery store, so I could walk there when I wanted. It's about a 20-25 minutes to downtown SLC, so that was very doable. In fact, our kids enrolled in a camp and my husband had medical care there so we did the drive on almost a daily basis. Traffic - particularly in the morning - was never a significant problem. We had some friends in the Lehi area, so the location actually nicely positioned us within easy distance of both SLC and Lehi.

The house itself is spacious. There are 2 bedrooms and a bath in the basement and 3 bedrooms and 2 baths (1 is a master bath) on the 2nd floor. Because all the bedrooms requiring going up or down stairs, this might not be the ideal location for people with mobility issues, but it worked for us. The kitchen is small but very well equipped - baking pans, coffee maker, every kind of cooking utensil you could imagine. I don't think there was a single thing I wished for in a month of cooking. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, even in the heat of July.

The neighborhood seemed to be a mix of permanent residents and seasonal rentals. The neighbors were quiet and cordial. Definitely recommend!

Location location location, good time had by all.

We rented this house for a month during the 2015 ski season. The short drive to the four Cottonwood ski resorts made is simple to ski 5-6 days a week. Other than the kitchen being a little cramped, the floor plan worked well for us and our rotating guests. Being in the house that long we did had a few questions and small problems. Dennis was great to work with and answered all our questions and resolved every problem quickly.

The Oaks at Wasatch condo is centrally located and is near 7 different ski resorts. This is an ideal location for skiing the best of what Utah has to offer in regards to skiing. It is also close to Salt Lake City and there are many services available as well as local cultural events.
